Pyroxene - All Set To Release New EP - Out  April 21

Although the band Pyroxene was first founded on the 28th of December 2011, it wasn't until 2016 that the new line up with Kristjan Hacin (solo guitar / composer / writer), Andraž Kumar (rhythm guitar / composer), Mate Hrovat (bass guitar / writer), Jan Tehovnk (vocal) and Anže Mikulan (drums) arose from the primordial fire and became the band we know today. Their repertoire stretches from blues elements and hard rock to heavy metal, whereas they define themselves as »solid metal«.

In the year 2012 they began their first concert season, during which they had quite a lot of concerts in different locations, such as Metelkova City, the annual gathering of MC Firestarters in Vinica, on Kongress square etc. The true climax of the year was a concert, where they performed as the opening act to the band Elvis Jackson in MKC Komplex in the Koroška region. In 2013 they were also hosted on the online radio Radio Turk and began to cooperate in a side project with the Center of Activities Fužine (CAF).

The same year they performed on the audition for the festival Vičstock, which was hosted by club Cirkus in Ljubljana. After that they also performed on Turkstival and Rock'n'roll ''All you can hear'' Požrtija. In the year 2014 they won the band contest on the Rock&Walk festival, as far as their own organisation is concerned they've put together a concert called Pržan se prži in the club Pržan (Ljubljana). They were also chosen by studio Evolucija to record a single and played on several other concerts in Ljubljana and the rest of Slovenia.

At the beginning of the year 2015 they had a concert in the club Patriot in Novo Mesto, soon afterwards in Orto Bar within the organisation Kadilnica Of Death, and at the end of February they were also hosted on radio Europa 05. In late May they departed on their first international tour in the Netherlands, where they had three very successful concerts in HPC in Den Haag, Waterhole in Amsterdam and Rock Cafe Bone in Haarlem. Shortly after tour they performed in Hard Place in Zagreb and on one of their biggest venues so far: Rock Batuje festival in July. On the 12th of September they organized Pržan se Prži vol. II, a festival that included six bands altogether.

On the 5th of February in 2016 they released their first single and music video Helium 3, which was shown in Prulček club alongside with an acoustic version of some of their songs. Then they mainly focused on recording their EP, until September when they played on Hole of Metal a festival in Orehovlje and later on Metalwitch 2016 in Ljubljana’s club Cirkus. In November, Pyroxene went to Paris to perform on a birthday party.

First show in 2017 for Pyroxene was on the 5th of January, making it the first metal concert in Slovenia in that year. They played again in Orto bar within the organisation Smoking room of Death and performed on other concerts trough Slovenia.

Guys from Pyroxene have a lot of ambitions; first on the list is definitely releasing their EP-album After the EP is released they intend to organise their 2nd tour in the Netherlands, Belgium and north of France; the latter they plan to execute sometime in the middle of 2017.

Beside all these goals they try to cooperate with and perform on as many festivals, concerts and other cultural events as possible, so that their music can be introduced to a larger crowd.
