We know that a lot of you are coming from UK so we found out that, if you are flexible, it can be interesting for you to discover different touristic cities not so far from the Festival and have a really intense vacation .

We listed some of the flights and all the different transfer options that you can choose from the airport to the festival location.

The only thing that you have to do is check the list and tell your friend!

With just 5 months to go, we know you’ll be busy preparing for your trip to Fresh Island. So with that in mind, we’ve had a scan around the internet to find you some of the cheapest flight options available. There are yet more options if you’re happy to stop off or take indirect flights to Fresh Island, we’d recommend using a site such as Skyscanner, Momondo or Kayak to find the best deal.

- Shuttle transfer from the airports of Zadar and Split to Novalja, you can buy a ticket for a seat (for more info and booking your tickets: airport transfers)

IF YOU’RE COMING BY CAR:

If you decide to come by car, the best solution is to calculate your itinerary on www.viamichelin.com or www.mappy.fr.

You need: a driving licence, a green card (car insurance) and your car registration documents when entering Croatia. The identification letters for Croatia on the international green card are HR.

Motorways are not free of charge and there are tolls.

The island of Pag is very long and if you are arriving from Zadar or Split, the best option is crossing the Pag bridge in Posedarje. If you are arriving from Zagreb or Rijeka you have the possibility to take the ferry in Prizna, which will take you to Zigljen on the island of Pag (about 5km from Novalja). Ferries operate every hour, during high-season even more often. The price of a one-way ticket for 2 persons and a car is around € 11.

TRAFFIC RULES IN CROATIA:

Driving and priority are on the right, taking over on the left

Speed limitations for light vehicles (unless stated differently)

■ In settlements: 50 km/h

■ National roads: 90 km/h

■ Expressways: 110 km/h

■ Motorways : 130 km/h

Allowed blood alcohol level:

■ Since June 2008: 0,5g/l

■ 0 g/l for drivers younger than 25 years as well as professional drivers.

Driving under the influence of drugs is forbidden.

It is illegal to use a mobile phone while driving, a hands-free device is tolerated.

It is mandatory for the driver and all passengers to wear seatbelts in the front seat and back seats. Children under 12 must not sit in the front seat.

Helmets are compulsory for drivers and passengers

■ On mopeds and motorcycles

■ On bicycles for persons younger than 16 years

You muss carry the following items in your vehicle

■ reflective jacket

■ warning triangle

■ first aid-kit

Headlights should be turned on at all times in winter and at night as well as bad weather in the summer.

In case of an accident, police presence is compulsory in order to file a police report. Leaving the scene of an accident, may be considered as a hit-and-run offense and will be sanctioned.

Not stopping at a red traffic light and not respecting the direction in a one-way street, are both sanctioned severly.

Petrol stations are open every day from 7am to 7pm or 8pm (10pm in the summer). On main roads and big cities, they are open 24/7.

WHERE IS FRESH ISLAND?

The festival is located on the Island of Pag, on the coast of mainland Croatia close to the city of Zadar. Fresh Island actually takes place on Zrce Beach which is just a few miles away from Novalja and other surrounding towns. WHERE DO I STAY?

There are several places close to Zrce Beach where you can stay for the festival. Accommodation can be booked through our websites in one of the local towns and villages in a Standard Apartment, a Premium Apartment or Premium Accommodation which includes luxury villas and penthouses.

Some of the local towns and villages nearby the festival are: Novalja, Caska. Stara Novalja, Gajac and Vidalici, Kustici, Zubovici & Metajna (known as the Barbati region).
