I’ve been waiting long to write about this city, which is well known its name since colonialism as ” Parijs Van Java ” (Dutch: The Paris of Java). You can read all history of Bandung through this 

Bandung is popular gateway for everyone whos is living in Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya and other people living in any town, either from abroad or domestic for tourist, business or just visit, it takes few hours away from Jakarta the capitol of Indonesia. There are many aspect, that makes Bandung deserve to get this honorific, from fashio, food / culinair, nature, interesting hang out.

Parijs Van Java is not made up slogan by government to boost tourism. Actually the nicknamed was made very popular for the first time by the Dutch centuries ago during collonial era. According to historian which was learned and studied that era said that most probably that nicknamed came from a trader who was Dutch jew named Roth.

He was using that nickname to make smooth promotions his merchandise at night market fair. Since then Parijs van Java learned and repeated by others, including European tourist who attract by the nicknamed and the city’s beauty.

Fashion destination

To Roth  the owner of business, it’s important to mention everywhere in every occassion the nicknamed to help market his goods.
