A couple more draws based on the last few inktober 2023 prompts despite it being 2025 now. --- 25. Dangerous (Espio. feat Chain guy from Knuckles (TV) ) - Chaotix cases tend to vary in risk. From combing a park to find lost jewelry, to engaging in underground cage matches against armed and surprisingly adept opponents in order to follow a lead. The Chaotix won't let the prospect of danger stop them closing a case.

26. Remove (Shade) - Shade's retired her Nocturnus gear for something more suited to the life she's now living away from the Twilight Cage. 27. Beast (Trip and Team Sonic (feat. Fang)) - The gang's familiar enough with how Super forms via the Chaos Emeralds look to guess how Trip would look. Not like 'Super' Trip would be radically different than they'd expect, right? 28. Sparkle (Merna) -Merna the Merhog, denizen of Mertopia. Tasked with guarding the Tears of the Sea in the name of the Tides, from those, both Landlubber and sea-dweller, that would seek misuse the Secret of the Depths.

(Don't pay most of this 'lore' any mind, just making up some protagonistic stuff for the prompt)

29. Massive (Mighty and a puyo (feat. Coconuts)) - Mighty's about to drop the meanest bean anyone has ever seen! (Rip Coconuts)

30. Rush (Blaze (feat. Johnny)) - Meanwhile in the Sol dimension, on Pirates' Island, Blaze and Johnny match speed and firepower (Johnny got upgrades).

31. Fire (Wade (feat. Knuckles, Sonic, Elise and Mephiles)) - Say the line, Bart Wade. Also, guess it's up to Knuckles and Wade to step in, seeing as how Sonic is on indefinite hiatus by the looks of things.

We got some interesting new Jewel characters here! Meet The Experiments!

These guys are a subsection of the side characters in Jewel's story. He meets them on Earth after a mad scientist captures and experiments on him (don't worry Jewel kills him). The results are Spellbound, Merna, and Radioactive. Spellbound is a clone of Jewel and a rival for him. She loves mocking him, calling herself the "true" version. Think of her in a similar vein to Surge. Merna is far friendlier, just wanting to meet people and see the world. She's rather naive, though, so Jewel keeps her safe. And then there's Radio. Radio is the embodiment of chaotic neutral. They are a menace and love bickering with their "sisters." There's no actual relation. Radio does have a bit of a soft spot for Jewel, though he'll never admit it.

MERNA THE MERHOG

Allegiance: Civilian

Merna is a Mermaid Hedgehog who is a friend of Sonic. When the underwater city of Mertopia was being attacked by Robotnik, she was sent out to find someone who would be able to defeat the doctor. She managed to find Sonic and Tails, who were resting near a beach. Sonic agreed to help but told her that he was unable to swim, making it difficult for him to do his kind of thing. Merna helped him move under water and defeat Robotnik. She had a crush when they first met, but since then she has moved on. They’re still friends though as Merna has recently taught Sonic to swim.

Since her original VA is unknown, or at the very least I couldn't find info on that, and since I likely wasn't going to use her Dic VA as a voice claim, I decided to go with Michelle Ruff for her voice claim.

The mermaids, ft. Merna the Merhog the only one I can find in canon since 1993(?) so I'd to shoehorn some others in with her haha.

Cosmo's a seaweed monster, and Tikal is a mer-echidna? I guess?

The lore here is that sea creatures split into land and sea, so there's mirroring species (hedgehogs on land, merhogs in water) but Echidnae have a special link to Chaos so they can switch between land and sea, Knuckles uses this to his advantage as a Captain often.

Chao are also more watery in general here, closer to Chaos themselves. A few of Doom's "Starfish" have lingered since his banishment centuries ago, but more and more are appearing so the Mermaids know somethings looming on the horizon before anyone else does.

Also froggy's here! Everyone's favourite fresh-water amphibian (maybe here he's one of those coastal frogs that eat crabs so he'll be fine jkdghkf)
