So last night I ran another bracket for Merfight, and due to player overlap with other brackets the grand finals ended up being the last match of the night for the event as a whole, running past midnight when everyone else had left.

I was tempted to throw at times so we could just go home, but I pushed through and after a full ten game set I got first place.

Side note: Something I find funny is how people gravitate to the top tiers in Merfight when I bring it out. Like they're coming in to the game with no prior knowledge, as an indie game there's also no quick up to date clickbait tier lists to quickly google, and they end up picking some of the best characters in the game just off of vibe.

Updated the wiki for Merfight with information on Arctina since she's the main character I play as, then realized this will make me notably easier to counter at an upcoming tournament with every other character still having all placeholder text on their wiki page.

But maybe I can turn this to my advantage and wait until after an upcoming tournament to share the details on how to play the characters I don't like fighting and make the page for the new DLC character I obviously have less experience fighting. Or you know, put the good of the game over my own tournament results.

Odon to Clamilton, Merfight (Mattrified)

Thinking about how in Merfight almost every character's ending where they become the new Arctic Monarch has their friends and family refuse to abandon them. Gigi making a point of checking in on Odon in his ending, Bolt's father relocating the factory to be with him in his ending, Atlas promising that he won't leave Naeco again.

And how Arctina's way of getting revenge on Rho is refusing to let him see anyone, which is what led to his current state. How in her own Arctic Monarch ending she's left all alone with only a clone that functions as a symbol of everything she was trying to escape for company.
