as someone who has seen a lot of mads’ filmography, it’s a real shame that hollywood has mostly stuck to casting him as a villain when he’s so good at comedy

”how could you do that to that character..” how could I NOT. I have the eyes to see the cathedrals on which this character is being inflicted the most gruesome and vile suffering imaginable. and they’re also getting kissed on the forehead while it’s happening.

Just imagine Hannibal being Elias’ psychiatrist… the thought of that has me cackling, I’m sorry. I can just see Hannibal being disgusted with Elias’ rudeness and Elias just knowssss that Hannibal isn’t enjoying, but he doesn’t care and keeps rambling. Then the minute Hannibal inputs, Elias cuts him off😂 Dr. Lecter would definitely want to kill him, but there’s something about him that makes him hesitant. However, the sessions between the two of them would be hilarious.

De grønne slagtere (The Green Butchers) is a 2003 Danish black comedy about two butchers who set up their own shop... which eventually (accidentally) involves cannibalism. Mads plays Svend, one of the butchers who is slightly unhinged.

Adams Æbler (Adam's Apples) is a 2005 Danish black comedy following paroled gang leader Adam who must undertake a rehabilitation program headed by the priest Ivan. Mads plays Ivan, who has his own challenges that has him ignoring reality.

Mænd og Høns (Men & Chicken) is a 2015 Danish black comedy about two brothers who go in search of their biological father, only to find the most bizarre of secrets. Mads plays Elias, one of the brothers, he is an insecure, rude, chronic masturbator who makes a startling discovery about his parentage.
