“I still feel really comfortable playing with Paul, yes. We have all that history and it comes into play when we work together. You can’t just dismiss that. You’re never going to lose the closeness of those eight years we spent together. We played some great music and we were brothers; no matter what goes on up and down, we were very close. I don’t know of any other band who got that close. And we got that close because we loved each other and the pressure that only the Beatles had. No other band has had that much pressure. So all of those factors come into play when we meet each other. We know what went on. Nobody else knows. Everybody thinks they know, and they have ideas, and they write books about it, but actually only the Beatles know how heavy that was.
Paul and I used to work very hard. A lot of it fell into place, but the drummer and the bass player have a foundation to set, for everything else to be able to go on. And as I say, he is the most melodic bass player. He plays melodies within the melodies. He’s like the sea bed, or I’m the sea bed and he’s the bottom water, and everything goes up from there. Like bubbles.”
— Ringo Starr, Club Sandwich, 1997
#I love this quote for many reasons#the hyperbolic ‘we were the closest band in the whole world’ thing is endearing#and the metaphoric description of the rhythm section is so lovely#and THE PRESSURE#boy you’re gonna carry that weight…#my quotes#ringo starr#paul mccartney#the beatles#beatles

THE ASTROLOGICAL FAME OF …
MICHAEL JACKSON

SAGITTARIUS MC
No matter your 10H sign, the 10H still rules Fame. And the most success you’ll find in career is when you embrace your 10H. Having a Sagittarius 10H makes you a person who wants a career that involves expansion and change. You’ll want to do something in this life that opens up not only your mind but others. That’s why most prefer jobs that involve teaching or philosophy. Sagittarius rules over travel as well so these people make their abundant income best when they get to travel the world. Even though Michael didn’t like to tour much he made millions off of touring alone. He was a world wide phenomenon and he used his music to spread messages to the whole world. For example, “Black and White” or “They don’t really care about us”. Michael was also known for his generosity and huge charitable donations. Donating over 500 million dollars to charities.

SATURN CONJ. MC
Michael has been famous since he was a child. Saturn rules longevity and even after death Michael is still extremely well liked and a famous name known worldwide. This placement also explains the amount of work his father put in him to be famous. This placement also explains all the very public challenges and hardships he faced.

MC RULER 8H JUPITER
Having his MC ruler in the 8H also gives him a long lasting career since the 8H also rules longevity. Michael was also very controversial whilst also being extremely liked at the same time. He was known in the public eye embrace and insist change. He was a pioneer, Being the first black man to have his video Billie Jean play on MTV, having an MTV award named after him, having a statue built in his honor, winning multiple Grammies, and being named the king of pop whilst also inspiring artists we know today like Beyoncé. He was also known for his wealth and investments. Having some of the most expensive music videos ever, a theme park in his backyard, and a very expensive wardrobe.

JUPITER CONJ. NEPTUNE
This is a great aspect for music fame. Neptune rules over glamor and melodies whilst Jupiter rules over abundance and popularity. Having them be aspected gives Michael a lot of luck and popularity in the Music Industry. He also made a fortune off of music as well.

LEO, PISCES AND SAGITTARIUS PLACEMENTS
I have two posts about underrated fame indicators and basically Neptune/ Jupiter influence is very important for fame. Michael not only has a Leo stellium but he also has Neptune (Pisces Rising and Moon) and Jupiter influence (Sagittarius MC, and Jupiter conj. Neptune) with this ultimate combo he was destined to not only be popular but an enigma as well.

SUN CONJ. PLUTO
Aspects to sun are import when looking at fame. Michael has his Sun conj. Pluto which makes so much sense when you look at how much power he had in the music industry. He was extremely magnetic, has sexual charm, and gained a lot of attention for not only being mysterious but very powerful as well.

LEO FAMA
Naturally having Fama in Leo can make someone gain fame at little easer than others. Since Leo can rule over entertainment naturally having Fama in the sign can make someone especially famous in any form of entertainment. Also Michael has it at 8 degrees. Typically if you have Fama in a Scorpio degree your fame might come with a lot of intense obsession and you’ll be extremely controversial. People might hate you because they believe you’re evil, taboo or think you’re a dark and messed up person.

GEMINI STARR
Michael was a Star known for speaking up about anything and everything that was on his mind. He wasn’t just a singer but also a writer. He was known to put his personal beliefs in not only his music but his music videos as well. Michael was also talked about and gossiped about ALOT. Whether truthful or not he was in multiple headlines in magazines and newspapers everywhere. It’s also apparent that his Starr is at 28°, which is the household name degree.

LEO APOLLO CONJ. SUN/ PLUTO
People with Apollo prominent have natural talents and gifts that give them a special type of attention/spotlight and praise Having Apollo in Leo can make someone extremely magnetic, popular, and even worshiped in the field of entertainment. Apollo conj. Sun makes someone extremely popular no matter what they do. Especially when it comes to whatever talent they might hone into. It always seems like the attention gravitates towards them because of how much they shine. Having it conjunct Pluto will make someone naturally shine in powerful and mysterious ways. It’ll also amp up the obsession people will have over you. Pluto also rules transformation and to say Michael had a few would be an understatement. Music wise and physically he transformed. He also transformed the industry. These placements help explain why he was deemed the King of Pop. And he still is.

That was the astrological fame of Michael Jackson 💋

There was nothing too sappy about this, Bones decided, given the circumstances...
After all, if married folks weren't allowed a little love, who was?
"You're never gonna get him a right foot, Jim," he calls from the settee, lazily swirling his brandy in its snifter.
Jim furrows his brow and readjusted his grips around Spock's waist and hand. "Hush now, you're distracting my student."
There goes that eyebrow again. Bones smiles into his glass at the look on Spock's face, beautifully patient, yet to a point of detriment if he has any opinion about it. Bones almost pities the ridiculous, sacrificial love Spock seems to have for Jim. Their husband would have gotten about half a second of trying to "teach" Bones to dance before he'd have left Jim with a swift swat the the shoulder and a colorful reprimand for the ages.
"Jimmy, darlin'. This might be the saddest attempt at anything I have ever witnessed. I can't even blame the Vulcan on this one."
"Watch it, Bones," Jim says sweetly from over Spock's stiff shoulder, "or that Klingon opera that you so love is going on next."
Bones glares back and mutters under his breath. That damn wailing should have been burned and banished from his home ages ago.
He sits and watches Jim drag Spock around the room for a few more aching minutes, before he's had enough and decides he needs to step in, for the good of everyone. "You two look like an alligator and a crocodile trying to mate in winter," he grumbles as he stands and crosses their living room. He inserts himself swiftly in between the two before Jim can try dipping the man, God help them, and puts his back to Jim while casting an apologetic look upward to Spock. Jim huffs behind him and Bones can easily imagine the indignant hands he's put on his hips.
He takes Spock's hand and brings it up to his glass, resting their fingers together for a moment as he leans up to press a light kiss against Spock's lips.
"Run. I'll handle the beast," he says conspiratorially, smirking along with Spock at Jim's noise of protest behind them.
Spock grazes their fingers together one more time before taking off with Bones' glass, a bit faster than his usual gait, Bones reckons. As Spock busies himself at the sideboard Bones turns back around to his other partner, and rolls his eyes at his pout.
"Come on, Jim," he says with a fond sigh. He takes one of Jim's hands and brings it to rest on his shoulder, grabbing onto his waist and his free hand gently. "Let me show you how it's done."

In 1987, George was interviewed by El País; here's a translation of that interview (to the best of my school-level Spanish).
George Harrison On Cloud Nine
George Harrison recently released his first album since 1982, when he disappeared from music to work on movies and live his life in peace. In making Cloud Nine he called on his friends Eric Clapton, Elton John and Ringo Starr- Many of the songs are similar to those of the early Beatle years, but Harrison scoffs at rumors about the group reuniting.
Cloud Nine sounds so much like the Beatles that it ends up being a tribute to the band’s early music. One of the songs on this new LP, When We Was Fab, refers to that epoch in which ‚we were fabulous‘ and ‚we were doing everything.‘ The song, which recalls Beatles melodies such as Strawberry Fields Forever and I Am The Walrus, suggests the style of John Lennon. At times it sounds as the late rhythm guitarist himself is singing.
El País: Cloud Nine contains songs and harmonies that recall the early Beatles. Is that what you intended?
George Harrison: Yes. It sounds like the Beatles because of the 12-string guitar. This is the kind of guitar we used on the first Beatles records. The electric guitar I have on the album cover is the one I used when the Beatles were not famous, when we were playing in Hamburg (West Germany). I have recovered it and use it in several songs. In contrast to the heavy music of this generation I had the idea of making a contemporary record that permits young people to know what was happening at the end of the 60s. Some of the songs are similar to those of the Beatles in the late 60s. I did it intentionally. I didn’t want to bend to the pleasure of the record companies or the industry. I don’t want to be untrue to myself. I like this album… It is so old it seems new.
EP: Listening to Cloud Nine, one gets the feeling that you were comfortable and happy during the recording.
GH: I was because I was with Eric Clapton, Elton John, Ringo Starr and other friends I have known for years and with whom I get along well. Elton John asked to be part of the record when he found out I was going to make it. He is one of the great musicians of rock 'n' roll. And Ringo? Well, what can I say? We have lived and performed together for a long time. We are alike in the way we regard music.
EP: You invited old friends to the recording, but did you invite Paul McCartney?
GH: No. I didn't invite Paul.
EP: You recently said that it is good to grow old, that it is time to mature with dignity.
GH: Yes. After running around so much when you're young, you need tranquility. When we were the Beatles we lived in permanent turbulence, we were crazy. We met mountains of people and went to many countries but we didn't get to know anything well because we never had a moment of peace. Therefore, for the past few years I have been trying to find out what is happening. It would be rare if it was only happening to me, but we are all growing old together. Ringo and Eric Clapton are growing old with me and that makes it easier. I have always considered them friends, but after the craziness of our youth you rediscover them and they become your best friends. Another thing that compels me to mature is my son, Dhani. I try to devote time to him and be a good father.
EP: At one time you influenced the Beatles to look for an introspective path that derived from Oriental mysticism and transcendental meditation. What remains today of this stage in your career?
GH: It is something I still carry inside but I don't talk about as much. On the new record there are no songs that advocate this way of life as there were on other records.
EP: “My sweet Lord, I really want to see you, I really want to be with you …" Do you still believe in a Sweet Lord?
GH: Oh, yes. Absolutely.
EP: If you were to write the song today, would you keep the same lyric?
GH: I would keep the same lyric. I believe that the lyric is true. I would change a few notes in the melody. (Laughter. In 1976, a U.S. judge sentenced Harrison to pay a fine after determining that My Sweet Lord, which was on the 1970 album All Things Must Pass, was an unintentional plagiarism of another melody.)
EP: The Beatles are said to have taken drugs -- especially marijuana and LSD -- from 1965 to 1967. This comes across in the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, recorded in 1966. You began transcendental meditation the same year. Did this help you give up drugs?
GH: I think so. The discovery of LSD was something we could not avoid because, in the case of John and me, someone put LSD in our coffee without our knowing it. After having had an LSD experience you do not want to go back to the way you were, you lose the notion of ego and you change because you see things you didn't perceive before. Even if I had not taken LSD it would not have been long before I began spiritual activities. After LSD, I became aware of God. But like with alcohol or other drugs you go crazy if you consume too much.
EP: You have not given up tobacco. Are you still a vegetarian and ecologist?
GH: Ecologist, yes, but now I eat fish and chicken. I did not eat meat from 1966 to 1979. During those years I was undernourished because I didn't know what to eat to replace the protein. In 1979, I began to follow the Formula One auto races and I was in Madrid or other capitals and it was difficult to eat in restaurants and hotels. If you don't go to Indian restaurants, where you can eat lentils and greens, you cannot stay on a vegetarian diet. So I began eating fish and chicken.
EP: The press has presented you in the past as a lonely man, shy and frightened after the assassination of John Lennon in December 1980.
GH: That's what the gossipers say. From time to time I get a flash of John's death. Sometimes it happens when someone I don't know approaches me by surprise. But you can't be afraid. I live a normal life. I don't go to cocktail parties and discos.
EP: How has Lennon's death affected you?
GH: I don't think anyone ought to die this way, at the hands of a madman. John's death has affected me, like it has most people. It's sad that someone can ruin the life of another. And when it's a longtime friend it's like losing a family member, a father or a brother.
EP: Even though you have written popular songs you have not had a hit since 1969. Do you think you were misunderstood and your talent underused in the Beatles epoch?
GH: For sure, because John and Paul dominated the group and had an arrangement for songwriting. Our producer for many years, George Martin, has publicly asked me to forgive him for this. But there is a moment for everything and at this time I was marginal.
EP: I remember reading in Rolling Stone that Lennon once said you were an invisible man between two egomaniacs.
GH: Absolutely.
EP: Is there something to the rumors of a Beatles reunion? There are rumblings that Lennon will be replaced by Elton John.
GH: Every six months or so someone invents a story like that. There is no possibility of the Beatles coming back to life. That era has ended. It is better to leave it like that.

Thank You (Gideon Gemstone x OC)
Hi guys! I am OBSESSED with the Righteous Gemstones! I'm recommending it to everyone I come in contact with lol Plus I have a huge, huge, huge, huge, HUGE crush on Skyler Gisoondo aka Gideon Gemstone.
I was listening to one of, if not, my favorite song and I got inspired so I decided to roll with it and see where it took me. This was the result. This is my very first Righteous Gemstone fic so I hope it's okay. Enjoy everyone!
-ringa-starr a.k.a. Dee <3
Words: 4.1K

Dee sat cross-legged on her worn-out sofa, the cushions molded to the shape of a thousand lazy afternoons. The room was a kaleidoscope of color, a tribute to her vibrant spirit and a stark contrast to the monochromatic walls that had seen better days. She picked at the strings of her frayed sweater, her eyes glued to the TV where Gideon's face beamed, a picture of innocence amidst the chaos of the world outside. His laugh was the kind that could warm a room, even through a screen, and she felt a familiar twinge in her chest that she had grown to cherish.
The melody of "Thank You" by Dido began to play softly from her phone, the ringtone she had set for his calls. She didn't even bother to check the screen; she knew it was him. Her heart fluttered as she answered with a playful, "Hey, rockstar." Gideon's voice, a blend of charm and vulnerability, filled her ear. "You busy, Dee?"
"Just watching the news, same old stuff," she replied, trying to keep her voice steady despite the butterflies that had taken up residence in her stomach. They chatted about their days, the mundane details weaving a comforting blanket over the unspoken tension that hung between them. Gideon spoke about the latest prank he had pulled on his siblings, and she couldn't help but laugh, her eyes lighting up at the thought of his childish antics. It was moments like these that made her love him even more, the way he could find joy in the simplest of things.
As the conversation grew quieter, the beat of "Thank You" playing faintly in the background seemed to pulse in time with her racing heart. She knew she had to tell him, she couldn't keep it bottled up any longer. "Hey Gideon, there's something I need to say." She took a deep breath, the words feeling heavy on her tongue. "I…I've had this crush on you for a while now."
Gideon's laughter trailed off, and she could almost hear the gears turning in his head. "What? Dee, you know we can't…I mean, we're just friends, right?" His voice was a mix of surprise and concern, and she felt her cheeks grow warm.
"I know, I know," she said quickly, trying to backpedal. "It's just that sometimes, when we're together, it feels like more than that. And I had to tell someone. You're the only one I trust." The words tumbled out of her mouth, a jumble of feelings she hadn't dared to articulate before. She bit her lip, waiting for his response, the silence stretching like a tightrope between them.
On the other end of the line, Gideon was processing her confession. He had always seen Dee as a good friend, a kind of sister almost, but he had never thought of her in that way. "Dee, you're amazing," he began carefully, "and I really value our friendship." The pause that followed was like a beat in a suspenseful song, and Dee's heart sank a little. "But, I don't think I can give you what you're looking for."
The room suddenly felt much smaller, the air thick with unspoken words and unrequited feelings. Dee swallowed hard, her throat tightening. "It's okay," she lied, forcing a smile into her voice. "I just had to get it out. You know how it is."
Gideon's sigh was audible even through the phone. "I do, Dee, but I don't want things to get weird between us." There was a genuine warmth in his voice, a tenderness that made her heart ache even more. "We're cool?"
"Yeah, we're cool," she managed to say, though it felt like her insides were slowly shattering. She didn't want to lose him, not as a friend, not as the person who made her feel seen. The song on the TV grew louder, the words echoing her own feelings of gratitude and loss. "Thank you for being honest with me."
The conversation stumbled forward, both of them trying to navigate the new terrain of their friendship. They talked about the upcoming Gemstone family event, the forced joviality a stark contrast to the weight that now lingered in the air. Dee's mind was elsewhere, replaying every moment they had shared, looking for signs she might have missed.
When they finally hung up, the room felt emptier than it had before. She lay back on the sofa, the cushions seemingly swallowing her up as the music continued to play. The lyrics of "Thank You" seemed to mock her now, the sweetness of the melody a bitter reminder of her unrequited love. She closed her eyes, willing the ache to dissipate, but it remained, a dull throb in the back of her mind.
Days turned into weeks, and Dee did her best to keep her feelings hidden. They saw each other at church, at the family's sprawling mansion, and during the occasional outing. Each time, she would push the sadness down and force a smile, hoping it looked as genuine as the ones he gave her. Gideon seemed oblivious to the turmoil churning within her, his laughter as bright and uncomplicated as ever.
But the tension grew, a silent third party in their interactions. It was palpable, a tightrope walk that Dee feared she might fall from at any moment. She found herself avoiding certain topics, her eyes lingering on him just a beat too long, her voice catching when she spoke. She knew she had to find a way to move on, to salvage what was left of their friendship.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across her living room, she decided to confront her feelings head-on. She picked up her guitar, the strings a comforting hum under her fingertips, and began to play "Thank You". It had become a sort of anthem for her pain, a reminder of the love she couldn't have. The words took on new meaning now, a bittersweet tapestry of gratitude and heartache.
As the final chords strummed out into the quiet, she made up her mind. She would tell him how she felt again, face to face, and maybe this time, the words would land differently. Maybe he would see her in a new light, or at least understand the depth of her feelings. With a shaky resolve, she texted Gideon, asking if he had time to hang out.
They agreed to meet at the park, a place where their friendship had blossomed over the years. The swings creaked in the breeze, a nostalgic tune that seemed to underscore the gravity of the conversation ahead. Dee's palms were slick with sweat as she approached, her heart thumping in her chest like a drum solo. Gideon was already there, sitting on the top of the slide, his legs dangling over the side. He waved when he saw her, that same infectious smile that never failed to make her stomach flip.
As she sat beside him, the metal slide cold against her back, she took a deep breath and looked into his eyes. "Gideon, I need to talk to you about something." The words hung in the air, charged with a tension that could have powered the city lights. He studied her face, the lines of his own furrowing with worry. "What's up, Dee?"
"It's about what I said before," she began, her voice shaking. "I know you don't feel the same, but I can't just ignore how I feel. It's eating me up inside." The wind picked up, rustling the leaves around them, as if nature itself was holding its breath, waiting for his reply. Gideon's smile faltered, and he looked down at his hands.
"Dee," he started, his voice gentle. "I care about you so much, you're like family to me. But I just don't have those feelings for you. I'm sorry." His eyes searched hers, looking for some sign of understanding, but all he saw was pain. She nodded, her throat too tight for words.
"But maybe," he continued, a glimmer of hope in his eyes, "we can work on being even better friends? I don't want to lose you over this." He reached out and took her hand, giving it a comforting squeeze. The gesture was like a balm to her soul, but it didn't change the truth.
Dee looked at their interlocked fingers, the warmth of his touch a stark reminder of the warmth she had hoped to feel from his words. "I understand," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just… I need some time, okay?"
Gideon nodded solemnly, squeezing her hand once before letting go. The silence between them was heavier than the air before a storm. They sat there for what felt like an eternity, the playground around them seemingly frozen in time. The only sounds were the distant giggles of children and the creaking of the swings.
Dee took a deep breath and stood up, the metal slide cold against her back. "I should go," she said, her voice thick with unshed tears. Gideon looked up at her, the realization of what he had done finally sinking in. "Dee, wait," he called after her, but she was already walking away, her shoulders hunched in defeat.
The park lights flickered on, casting a sad glow over the scene as Dee made her way to her car. She felt like a part of her was being torn away with every step she took. She slammed the car door shut and let the tears fall as she drove home, the familiar streets passing by in a blur. The song that had once been a comfort now played in her mind, a sad reminder of what she had lost.
In the days that followed, Dee threw herself into her work at the church, hoping that the routine would fill the void that Gideon's rejection had left. She avoided the places they used to hang out, afraid that every memory would be a fresh wound. The Gemstone family events were the hardest, a minefield of awkward glances and forced smiles. Gideon tried to reach out, but she kept her distance, not wanting to risk her heart any further.
One evening, as she was locking up the church, she heard the faint sound of someone playing the piano from the sanctuary. Curiosity piqued, she peeked inside to find Gideon sitting at the grand piano, his eyes closed, playing "Thank You". She watched from the shadows, her heart swelling with a mix of emotions. When he finished, he looked up and spotted her, his expression a blend of surprise and relief.
"Hey," he said softly, standing up and walking over. "I've been thinking about you a lot lately." Dee nodded, her throat still too tight for words. "I know I hurt you, and I'm really sorry. I just want to make sure we're okay."
"We are," she lied, her voice cracking slightly. "We're fine." Gideon searched her face, looking for the truth she wasn't ready to give him.
"You don't have to hide it from me, Dee," he said, reaching out to gently brush a tear from her cheek. "I'm here for you, no matter what." His touch was warm and comforting, and for a brief moment, Dee allowed herself to lean into it. But the pain was still too raw, the memory of his rejection too fresh. She stepped back, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand.
"I know you are," she whispered, trying to regain her composure. "But I can't keep doing this, Gideon. Every time I see you, every time we're together, it just hurts more." She took a deep breath, her voice growing stronger. "We need some space, for now. Time to figure things out."
He nodded, understanding in his eyes. "Okay," he murmured, his voice tinged with regret. "I'll give you that. But remember, I'm just a phone call away." He offered a small, sad smile before turning to leave.
The weeks of space were like a rollercoaster of emotions for Dee. Some days she felt lighter, as if a weight had been lifted from her chest, and other days the pain was so intense she could barely breathe. She threw herself into her faith, finding solace in the hymns and the quiet moments of reflection. The church became her sanctuary, a place where she could heal.
One Sunday, as she was setting up for the evening service, she stumbled upon a forgotten book of poetry in the back pew. Flipping through the pages, she found a poem titled "Thank You" that seemed to speak directly to her soul. The words spoke of love and loss, of finding strength in the darkest moments. It was as if someone had plucked her thoughts from her mind and laid them bare on the page.
The poem became her mantra, a daily reminder to be grateful for the love she had known, even if it wasn't the kind she had hoped for. She recited it to herself in the mirror, letting the words wash over her like a healing balm. Slowly, she began to see Gideon not as the object of her unrequited affection, but as a friend who had been there for her, who had shared laughs and secrets, and who had played an instrumental role in shaping the person she was becoming.
One sunny afternoon, as the light streamed through the stained-glass windows of the church, Dee found the courage to call him. The phone rang once, twice, before he picked up, his voice tentative. "Hey Dee, how are you?"
"I've been better," she said, her voice steady. "But I've had some time to think, and I wanted to talk to you."
Gideon's tone brightened. "Anytime, Dee. What's on your mind?"
"I just wanted to say," she began, "that I've been reading this poem called 'Thank You'. It's about being grateful for the people in your life, even if things don't work out the way you want." She took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her words. "And I wanted to thank you, Gideon. For being my friend, for being honest, and for just being you."
There was a pause on the line, and she could almost hear the cogs turning in his mind. "Dee," he said, his voice gentle. "I'm really sorry for how things went down. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"I know," she replied, her voice carrying a newfound sense of peace. "But it's not your fault. I just needed to deal with it in my own way." They talked for a while longer, about life and their families, about the mundane and the profound. And as they talked, Dee realized that the tightness in her chest had loosened, the sharp edges of her heartache had dulled.
"Maybe," Gideon suggested tentatively, "we could grab some coffee this week? Just as friends, no pressure." Dee felt a spark of hope ignite within her, a small flame that had been smoldering under the ashes of her crushed feelings. "Yeah," she said with a smile. "That sounds good."
The coffee shop was a familiar haunt, the aroma of freshly ground beans and the hum of conversation a comforting backdrop to their reunion. They sat across from each other, the space between them feeling both vast and intimate. Dee took a sip of her latte, watching the way Gideon's eyes crinkled when he laughed at something she said. The warmth of the moment was bittersweet, a reminder of what could have been.
"So," Gideon began, his fingers toying with the edge of his cup. "I've been thinking about what you said, about the poem. It's pretty powerful stuff." He looked at her, his gaze searching. "I've been trying to be more… aware of the people around me. To appreciate them more."
Dee nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "It's helped me a lot, too." She took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her confession from weeks ago begin to lift. "I think I'm ready to move on from… you know."
Gideon's eyes searched hers, a question lingering. "You sure?"
Dee nodded firmly. "I am." She took a sip of her drink, the warmth spreading through her. "I've had some time to think, and I realized that our friendship is worth more than my feelings. I don't want to lose what we have."
Gideon's face relaxed, his shoulders dropping slightly. "That means a lot to me, Dee. You're one of the best people I know, and I'm grateful to have you in my life."
Dee felt a warmth spread through her, chasing away some of the lingering sadness. "Thank you," she said, her voice sincere. "I feel the same."
They talked for hours, the conversation flowing easily as it always had. They discussed the latest escapades of the Gemstone family, their shared love for music, and even the future of the church. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow through the café windows, Gideon reached into his pocket and pulled out a USB stick. "I've been working on something," he said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "It's a mixtape of all the songs that remind me of our friendship. I want you to have it."
Dee took the USB with trembling hands, her heart swelling. "You made me a mixtape?" she asked, trying to keep the hope out of her voice.
"Yeah, just some songs that make me think of you," Gideon said with a shrug, his cheeks coloring slightly. "Some are fun, some are serious. Just like us."
Dee couldn't help but smile at the gesture. It was a small step towards rebuilding what they had lost, but it was a step nonetheless. She slipped the USB into her pocket with a nod of thanks. "I'll listen to it tonight."
The air between them felt lighter as they left the coffee shop, the promise of music and shared memories bridging the gap that had grown since their last heart-to-heart. As they walked to their cars, Dee felt a sense of peace settle over her. Perhaps it was the warmth of the setting sun, or maybe it was the knowledge that she had faced her feelings and come out the other side. Either way, she knew that she had made the right decision in reaching out to Gideon.
That night, she plugged the USB into her computer and hit play, her heart racing as the first notes of a familiar tune filled her room. Each song was a chapter in the story of their friendship, the lyrics a soundtrack to the moments they had shared. She laughed at the silly songs they had sung at karaoke, teared up at the ballads that had played in the background of their late-night confessions, and felt a pang of nostalgia for the days when their bond was uncomplicated.
As the mixtape played on, she found herself smiling more and more, the pain of her crush gradually giving way to the warmth of their shared history. The final song was "Thank You" by Dido, and she couldn't help but feel it was a sign, a full-circle moment that brought her back to where she started. But this time, the words didn't hold the same sting. This time, she heard the message of gratitude and friendship in the lyrics, and it was enough.
The days turned into weeks, and their friendship grew stronger with every coffee date, every shared laugh, and every heart-to-heart. They supported each other through the dramas of the Gemstone family, the trials of faith, and the everyday mundanities of life. And while Dee knew her feelings for Gideon would never fully fade away, she learned to appreciate him as the incredible person he was, not just the object of her desire.
One evening, as they sat on her sofa, surrounded by the comforting mess of her living room, Dee decided to share her secret mixtape with him. "You know, I've been working on something too," she said, her cheeks flushing as she pulled out a USB from her pocket. "It's not much, but I wanted you to have it."
Gideon's eyes lit up with curiosity as he took the USB. "What's this?"
"It's a mixtape," Dee said, her voice a mix of nerves and excitement. "For you. It's all the songs that make me think of us, the moments we've had together."
Gideon's smile grew wide as he plugged the USB into her stereo. The opening chords of "Thank You" filled the room, and she watched his eyes widen in surprise. "You didn't," he murmured, his voice filled with awe.
"I did," she said, her own smile a little shaky. "I wanted you to know that I've come to terms with… everything. And that I'm grateful for our friendship."
Gideon leaned back into the sofa, his eyes never leaving hers. "Thank you, Dee. That means more to me than you know." He reached out and took her hand, giving it a firm squeeze before letting it go. "Let's see what you've got here."
The mixtape played on, each song a reminder of their shared history. There were the tracks that made them laugh, the ones that made them think, and even a few that made them both a little misty-eyed. Dee watched Gideon's reactions, the way his foot tapped to the beat, his eyes closing when a particularly poignant lyric hit home. It was as if she had given him a glimpse into her soul, and he was holding it with the utmost care.
When the final notes of the last song played out, the room was quiet except for the soft hum of the stereo. Gideon turned to look at her, his eyes shining with unshed tears. "This is… incredible, Dee. It's like you know me better than I know myself."
Dee felt her heart swell with joy at his words. "It's just what you do to me, I guess."
Gideon nodded, his gaze lingering on her before he turned away. "I've been thinking a lot about what you said, about how our friendship is more important than anything else." He took a deep breath, his eyes finding hers again. "I realized that I've been taking it for granted, assuming it would always be there, no matter what."
Dee felt a lump form in her throat. "Gideon, you haven't."
"No, I mean it," he said earnestly. "You're the best friend I've ever had, and I don't want to lose that." He paused, his eyes searching hers. "But I also don't want to miss out on something more if it's there."
Dee felt her breath catch in her chest. "What are you saying?"
Gideon leaned in, his voice low and serious. "I've been doing some thinking too, Dee. And maybe… maybe I've realized that I do have feelings for you, beyond friendship." He swallowed hard, his eyes searching hers for a reaction. "I don't want to mess things up, but I think it's worth a shot. What do you say?"
Dee's heart skipped a beat, a tornado of emotions swirling inside her. She had accepted her unrequited love, had moved on to a place of peace. Now, she wasn't sure if she was ready to dive back in, to risk her heart again. But when she looked into Gideon's earnest eyes, she knew she had to be honest with herself. "Gideon," she said, her voice trembling with hope and fear. "I still care about you, more than I can say."
Gideon's smile grew, hope blooming in his chest. "Then let's give it a shot," he said, taking both her hands in his. "We'll take it slow, and if it doesn't work, we'll go back to being the best of friends." His thumbs traced small circles on her palms, the warmth of his touch sending a shiver down her spine.
Dee nodded, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and nerves. "Okay," she whispered, feeling the beginnings of a smile tug at her lips. "Let's do this."
Their relationship grew, not in the explosive, passionate way Dee had once dreamed of, but in a gentle, steady rhythm that felt more authentic than anything she had ever known. They took long walks in the park, held hands during quiet moments of contemplation, and even sang their hearts out to karaoke renditions of "Thank You" together.
Gideon proved to be a patient and understanding partner, allowing Dee the space to navigate her feelings and grow into the person she was meant to be. He supported her through her struggles with faith and family, and she was there for him when the pressures of being a Gemstone took their toll. They discovered that love didn't have to be all-consuming, it could simply be a warm embrace in the cold of the night, a shared laugh in the face of adversity.

"Sweet, but Psycho."
I HAVE SOME LORE FOR HER SINCE SHE'S COOL LIKE THAT. Check it out under here. It's a little long, however.
Before she was a huge K-pop Idol, Melodie worked at Starr Park in the robot factory. She always had a love for music and would usually sing while on the job. Eventually, she decided to pursue music and become a singer.
As she grew in popularity, she began to grow apart from people as she grew higher in the music ranks. So, she decided to create a friend with what she'd learned from being at the Robot Factory. Of course, this robot would be none other than Stu.
Unfortunately, this is where things take a turn for the worse.
When she hit her peak, Stu began to notice her begin to change... and for the worse...
She became egotistical and belittled those below her. She'd get mad if anyone around her talked about musicians positively and accused them of not loving her. If there was something someone didn't agree on, she'd say that they didn't care about her. Stu, while usually being in the front of all this, couldn't help but be awfully concerned.
Eventually, this all got to a boiling point when she just disappeared from the spotlight. No one knew what had happened or where she was besides Stu, the only one who knew.
Melodie's devilish attitude had gotten the best of her and out of shear anger and jealousy... she had killed someone and was arrested immediately. To make matters worse, both of her children were taken out of her custody since they declared she was way too unstable to raise them. Stu took custody of them. She presumably WOULD lay there to rot for what she did.
But SOMEHOW, out of NOWHERE, she was bailed out by a certain company that offered to let her out if she agreed to work with them again. Of course, she agreed and was let out. The next morning, the news of her return hit the media, and thousands of fans rejoiced; including a naive Janet who was also happy to see her mom again. Stu, however, was scared as hell and afraid of what she might do to the kids. Most importantly, he wondered...
Who let her out?

Crazy days and reckless nights Limousines and bright spotlights We were brothers through it all Every part of you was in your song Now we will carry on... Never Without you You played a beautiful melody That keeps on haunting me I can always feel you by my side I know all things must pass And only love will last I'll always love the memory of you and me (Ringo Starr - Never without you)

Although Now and Then is discussed as "The Beatles' last song", it's just another path taken in the band's legacy. In particular, John Lennon proves that he traveled along paths completely different from the others and that he was so big that he reached destinations beyond time. Even though it is a song written in 1979, its words touch the hearts of people in 2023 and all of its other works, whether with little bugs or solo, with words or melodies, will have the same effect on everyone who is open to it receive him as he deserves. Paul McCartney is the person who best knew John's artistic soul and together with Ringo Starr, who has always been the "best beatle in the world" for John, they managed to expose this to our happiness. George Harrison has always been authentic, even in the first unreleased version of the song he also gave his special touch and we can feel it in the sound that fills our hearts. I'm immensely GRATEFUL for being able to experience this and not just because it is "the Beatles' last song together" but because I can be a person live who feels this sensation that the world in my eyes has changed in front of a new soundtrack that will accompany me until the end. Again I want to mention John who was the little glue that brought the boys together there in 1962 and now in 2023, who with his sweet way, that is it can be kind difficult to swallow sometimes, always has a detail that makes those who love him smile with emotion. John, it's all because of you, you have made it (again).
