I would love to get to know how Hakuba is with his father’s side of the family. Like, its been canonically established that mixed characters face issues of racism and bullying in Japan.

Hakuba comes from a relatively high profile family (can only assume, as his dad is the superintendent). And its been established he used to spend more time in England, rather than Japan prior to Kid. Is there a reason for that? Are his parents just divorced or separated.

Were his paternal grandparents more accepting of him? Did he ever face any issues because of his mixed heritage? Did being rich and police kid save him from bullying and more?

I would love to see more of his background explored, to see how other police officers react to him basically coming over and getting on the case because of his dad. Like I can’t imagine these officers would be happy to deal with this ‘foreign’ kid who’s also kinda blunt and rude at times

And unlike other British-Japanese characters in the series, like Sera, Akai etc, Hakuba visually is drawn and canonically looks more western and foreign compared to them. How does that impact his life and work in Japan.

I need to know more.

The inherent comedy of detective conan is outsiders seeing this elementary kid running around in places children really shouldn't be and getting too curious for his own good meanwhile these bunch of high profile very capable adults are tagging along with him like they are his royal babysitter and he is the son of president or something.

No but I would love to see casual Hakuba interactions with other random characters. I want to see his day to day life in Tokyo.

Does he act the same ? Or is he more awkward? Do you he gets special treatment from people who know he’s the superintendent’s son? Is he treated differently? Do people assume he’s a foreigner and speak English with him? Does he get stares? Is he called gaijin?

Has he dealt with racism? Did he face bullying or racism from other school mates? Did the teachers ever make any remarks of his mixed heritage? Or do you think they are afraid of Hakuba’s dad’s influence. Do kaito and others seen him face any issues?

Does Hakuba and Sera bond over their shared heritage? Do the other detectives realise if the two face issues and defend them and pick fights with people bothering them

Has child Hakuba spent a lot of time in Japan? Did he face similar stuff? Was there anyone to protect and defend him from that?

congrats to the furukaza chocolate box. It is indeed a bafffling merch. Why does it exist. A furuya rei valentine chocolate box? Yeah, i would understand it, for the large yumejoshi market. But furukaza?

congrats also for the clear file. It is indeed a baffling choice to make. The clear file was about M28 promo, so the ShinRan was already gratuitous. But this specific arrangement? Even more baffling.

my job is done but I can't resist, so I'm providing visuals and context:

kiwi/banana ice cream: the conan café menu includes character-themed ice cream sandwiches. conan, ran and kogorou each got their own flavors (blue salt, strawberry milk, and rum raisin, respectively). All of nagano trio got the same flavors: apple (nagano apples are famous after all). and furuya and kazami....both get a mix of their colors: kiwi-banana.

TCG pair cards: TCG released pair cards (cards that are connected to one another in effects + illustrations) but so far only for canon mf pairs....and furukaza. TCG character cards also get "parallel versions" with alternate illustrations, and the parallel versions of the furukaza cards were unveiled on valentine's day.

biwa-houshi kazami x falconer furuya: on the osaka-jo website, characters like conan, haibara, kogorou and akai get separate headings. kazami and furuya get a single heading together, like heizuha, shinran and nagano trio.
