Bio: As the son of Lord Rakdos himself, I was once the best-kept secret of Rix Maadi. I wasn’t revealed to the world until the birthday I came of age, to the raucous celebration of the Cult and much of the plane at large, in the biggest party of the millennium! I was then promptly shot by a guildless insurgent representing a… rebellion that had to be put down. Run by some giant brain-thing from some other plane. You’d expect that to bring a measure of peace, but no, some bastard dragon came to wreck the plane with a zombie army. That’s… around when I sparked. Somewhere within there. But here I am now, traveling across the multiverse. Anywhere I want to be.

My Adult Life

The radio station I listen to in the car, WYEP, has for the last few years collected listener's picks with each song entry gaining one vote. Then they crunch the numbers and order the favorite songs for a week long count down to the top ten.

It's the station's fiftieth year. I remember when the station began because I lived in the neighborhood where the studio was located. "Studio" is probably a bit grandiose, the space was a slightly converted two-car garage. The theme this year is : best songs of the last fifty years.

I'd be a terrible DJ. I'm not sure any of the twenty songs I've contributed to past countdowns ever made the list, which is saying something because the list of songs numbers over a thousand. I do admire the DJ craft. And I liked the notion of thinking about music of the last fifty year. It's the music of my adult life.

One thing about being old is knowing a lot about bad habits and ruts. Trying to avoid obvious habits, I decided to make a list of songs by women artist and order the songs according to decade. Then I picked fout songs from the five decades to make a list of twenty songs. I mixed up the songs to make the playlist as I used to do with mix tapes.

Michael Elliot Epps (November 18, 1970) is a stand-up comedian and actor. He played Day-Day Jones in Next Friday and its sequel, Friday After Next, and appeared in The Hangover and The Hangover Part III as “Black Doug”. He was the voice of the main character Boog in Open Season 2. He starred in the comedy Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, playing “Reggie”, cousin of Roscoe. He played Lloyd Jefferson “L.J.” Wade in the films Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) and Resident Evil: Extinction (2007). He has had starring roles in the sitcoms Uncle Buck and The Upshaws.

He was born and raised in Indianapolis, the son of Mary Reed and Tommie Epps. In his adulthood, he moved to Brooklyn.

He began his professional career by joining the Def Comedy Jam tour in 1995 and starred in two of Def Comedy Jam’s broadcasts.
