Valentines Day with the LotR/Hobbit boyss

Ahh the day of love, overpriced and super crazy in our world. But what about in theirs?

For sanity reasons, I didn’t write something for EVERYONE and these are drabbles, so if you didn’t see your fave I’m sorry,but you can always request a Matchup, even if you want me to write you one for a specific person!

Aragorn-

Boy I always start with him huh, anyways.

-He is a very secretive person, so I think he’d do a small surprise. I’m talking a candlelit dinner where you two can just be.

-He is super sweet to you all day, you might drown in love.

-He isn’t one to buy a ton of stuff for you but he legit will make you a necklace or bracelet its really cute

-Cuddle sessions babey its always a good time, he is a great cuddler

Legolas-

Ah our resident elf boyo

-So precious will ask everyone he knows for advice

-He doesn’t wanna mess up ok?!?!

- Settles for a boat ride

-Its a small but lovely boat, and its filled with blankets and pillows

-You head out to the middle of a lake and just lie down, holding each other and looking up at the stars

-He will tell you he loves you so much, he wants you to know its true

Thranduil-

When I tell you I looked at that gif a bit too long

-For him I think it’s super important to get away from it all for a day.

-You two will set out to a small cabin he has and just exist

-You talk of the past and the future

-You cook dinner together how domestic

-He needs a little help knowing what to do, he doesn’t do this often but he wouldn’t want anyone else but you to help him.

Thorin- 

Have a gif where he isn’t insane (he’s so broody wow)

-He’s also a king so again, he wants to get away.

-Small day journey out of the mountain

-Y’all camp I adore it omg

-Watching this man put up a tent is a WHOLE experience lemme tell you

-You two make a small meal and stargaze

-He knows so much about constellations so you can talk for hours

-Holds you as often as he can as he recalls how lucky he is that you stuck by him

-He wants you to be able to protect yourself and this is the best way in his mind

-He is such a good and patient teacher its the best, you always have a funky fresh time

-When you finish its showering (maybe together who knows) and raiding the kitchens

-lotta bread, he’s a bread man (not actually made out of bread but you ya know)

-You sit on the balcony in the front of the kingdom and just watch life

-It was so important for him to get home and you got to see it happen

Fili-

-Maybe steals the idea from his brother and hosts a one-on-one archery lesson!

-Watching him work is an experience man...his chest against your back...his face so close to yours...his breath on your cheek....Where was I?

-He is so excited he might not be the best teacher cos he kinda skips parts trying to get to the fun stuff

-Pony rides after, you maybe race (you win whoops)

-Sitting in front of a fire and just holding each other

Bilbo-

Can I date a hobbit pretty pleaseee

-You bake bread together change my mind

-Its super soft and domestic, you guys dancing around each other in the kitchen knowing your patterns

-You sit in the living room and read your favorite books to each other 

-Make tea late in the night and dance in the dark kitchen to the sound of his humming

-Sleeping late again man I’m just saying, it’s like the best Valentine’s day gift

Bard-

ITS MAH MANS WHOO LOOK AT HIM GO

-It ain’t easy being king of Dale but having you as his advisor makes it so much easier

-But he wants to relax every once in a while

-You surprise him with something on Valentine’s day cos he’s so busy

-Super small picnic on the top of the highest building in Dale

-He is so surprised and very touched meanwhile you’re sitting there trying to figure out if the silence is happiness or annoyance

-Once he scoops you up in the biggest hug you get your answer

Boromir-

I kinda already did his but lets do it again babey!

-He gets really upset

-Because NOTHING is working, plans falling through, flowers wilting, its a disaster

-But you are so touched that he made dinner, even if you can’t tell what it is under the char

-So you redo dinner together and its super sweet

-Then its cuddling while drinking wine (how domestic ugh)

-He’s just so lucky to have you, so he lets you know

-By proposing (I’m a sucker for this ok)

-You wouldn’t really see it coming because you were both ok with where you were

-But he’s ready for forever as long as its with you

Hey hun! My 18th Birthday is coming up on Valentine's Day, and I was wondering if you could please write me some Headcanons for how The Fellowship of the Ring might celebrate one of their members birthdays. So buh I read it as like individually and if you were close friends/in a relationship instead of as a group but didn't see that till I was 3/4 finished so here's what you get lol. HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEEN I HOPE IT ROCKS

Aragorn- I think he's a fan of lowkey but very romantic birthdays. Maybe one or two friends over, but they leave before dinner so you guys have have a nice candle-lit dinner. Something handmade as a gift, but very meaningful.

Legolas- also low-key. But prefers like a picnic or hike if that's your jam. Dinner is spent laughing with a few friends and opening presents. His is again, handmade but very sweet and might have some handwritten poetry

Boromir- you'll probably have a decent size surprise party, unless you hate surprises, then he has you help him plan. Super sweet guy, will definitely cuddle with you for over an hour as you rest for the night. His presents aren't always handmade, but you will always love them, he remembers some odd thing you mentioned you wanted months ago.

Frodo- can you say reading sessions in the living room by the fireplace? Because he sure can. If it's before Bilbo departs, he'll stay in the loving room for a bit before leaving you two lovebirds alone. His gifts are usually food related because hobbits see that sort of thing as very important

Sam- He is SO SOFT. He makes a picnic for you guys and you guys sit underneath a large willow tree. I'm not saying he's the kind of guy to propose on your birthday but.... If its cold around your birthday he makes an indoor picnic (God, he loves picnics) where you guys set up like normal and just be warm and happy.

Gimli- DWARF RAVE BABEY hope you can take alcohol cos there will be so much! He's a party kind of guy, but if you aren't comfortable with it, he'll cut it off early and vibe with you

Pippin and Merry- Are super similar I think, they enjoy a good party but differnt kinds of hype level I guess haha. Pippin could go till the sun comes up but also enjoys just cuddling with you and sharing stories.

Merry would be much more chill with the party if it's after the Fellowship. He's just more laid back. Again, cuddling is his jam (I think their love languages are quality time and physical touch).

I kinda feel bad that you're only getting Matchup Requests, so if you're open to doing one, how about some Headcanon or Imagine Requests instead. How do you think the Hobbit (Bilbo, Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin) would react to their s/o being around their height, like under 5 feet, because of some health issue. For instance, I have a growth hormone deficiency, so maybe you could use that. Thanks so much, have a wonderful day/night!

Frodo:

Lets be real here, I think Frodo can be self conscious about his height

How could he not when he traveled with people twice his height!

It's very lovely to have someone to hug that's about his height, it makes him feel normal again

Since you're a *hair* taller than him, sometimes Merry and Pippin tease him about it, but you just give them a death glare and they stop!

Bilbo

Again, he was smaller than all the dwarves and humans he traveled with and it made him miss home

It made him miss you, with your sweet smile, and just right height

He loved cuddling with you becasue it makes him feel loved

He knows sometimes you might feel a bit bad about your height, so he lists all the reasons why he thinks its lovely!

Merry

Merry never really noticed

He does like that your face is at his height; perfect for kissing!

But some humans made fun of you once

And he saw how you shied away

So after he gave them what for he returned to your table and kissed you all over your face

And all he said was "now if you were much taller, I couldn't do that so easily now could I?"

It didn't fix everything, but it certainly made you feel better

Pippin

Heck yeah! You can fit in all those tiny spaces with him and cause mayhem!

He loves it, you can run away faster, hide in tinier spaces (unless thats not your vibe)

He loves your height! The two of you are small and happy!

He doesn't really understand why humans are so defensive about their height, hobbits are never like that!

After the passing of his wife, Thranduil never thought he could love again, but when you were hired as the kingdom’s head healer, he found himself falling once more!

He loves having deep conversations with you in the wee hours of the morning and will often stay up wayy to late. While he is very devoted to his position, if you need anything, he will be there for you!

Sometimes you feel a bit insecure surrounded by all these drop dead gorgeous elves, but Thranduil will always reassure you and make sure you know how much he loves you!

He adores your art and if you have a piece you are particularly proud of, he’ll hang it in the halls!

Over all the king of Mirkwood is absolutely smitten by you!

Hi! I’m so sorry I just sent you a really long ship request but if possible could I just add a tad bit more 🥺 I just realized that I wanted to say I usually look for someone who is more decisive and more of a dominant personality since I’m indecisive and such. I usually like someone who is kind at heart though, like even if they don’t seem like it they’re a teddy bear.

Ok so what really tipped the scales for me was that you like the moon so i ship you with moon child Haldir!

He is the dominant man you are looking for, but he has a very soft and loving personality! He is protective and may seem stern but he only wants to protect you.

He loves your violin playing, and loves to play the flute along with you! He is very sweet and caring but is completely the opposite when working, its kinda hilarious!

He adores taking midnight walks with you, and Lothlorien is famed for its view of the moon and stars. He loves looking at you more than looking at the nature around him. You're bathed in moonlight and you look ethereal to him.

I'm sure this man has plenty blankets so you don't ever have to worry about being cold!

Overall he's a wonderful lover and loves you dearly!

Okay idk how old that Valentine's Day post is and I can't find a character list so I guess a prompt I think is cute is like failed Valentine's gifts? Cake gets burned, flowers wilted, someone ate the chocolates, etc. It's the thought that counts right? I guess something along those lines with whichever character you choose. It had been the worst Valentine's day ever. Boromir had always been a ladies man, never having to put too much effort into anything big for anyone. But it was different this year. He had you.

But it was the worst mess ever. First he bought flowers, and the heads fell off when a terrible gust went past. Then he tried to make reservations at your favorite tavern, only to find them full up. Now he tried to make your dinner, and well, he was staring at the burnt remains.

You walked through the front door, your normal greeting ringing out as you placed your cloak on the front door hook. Normally his heart would jump and he would run to meet you, but today was different. He just felt like a failure.

"You made dinner?" Your voice was soft and you looked so touched but he only scoffed.

"I tried." He bitterly responded.

"Love, this is so sweet!"

His head snapped back up to find you pulling him into a hug.

"But, I burnt it, and the flowers, and...and the tavern-"

"What matters to me is how hard you tried. I'll eat burnt..." You looked down at the meat. "Duck, I think? Any day of the week. I love you."

"I love you too."

Maybe it wasn't the worst Valentine's day after all.

He is very brash and buff, but with you, very soft and sweet! He loves finding you the best flowers he can, not matter how much the brothers tease him!

He loves your hair, and braids it for you every night to grow closer to you, and cos he likes now soft it is.

He has a stable job in Erbor and really enjoys it! But coming home to you is the best part of his day. He loves seeing you in his armchair, curled up and just vibing, it reminds him how lucky he is!

Out cocky lil overdramatic man couldn't care about you at first; just someone to stand in the way of his ring.

But then he talked to you, watched how you doted on the hobbits, how you fought, and he fell head over heels.

When you rescued him from the Orcs it was hecking over for him, he was half passed out from blood loss and you're standing over him with a sword, he thought you were an angel.

After the journey is over he asks you to stay in Gondor with him, and you do! He and Faramir are equals in leading Gondor, the way they both wanted while they watched their father.

Anyways I love him so much and you would be great.

Lotr & The Hobbit Ship please? I’m a Neurodivergent Girl who would like a Male Ship, I’m a very ambitious and curious person, and an aspiring Craftsman. I live in the Mountains, and I’m really interested in culture, mythology and history, particularly Slavic and Irish culture. It’s always been my dream to work on a farm, do some crafting like smithing or woodworking, while also being a teacher. I have a great love for nostalgia, learning and compassion. My favorite pastime is just walking around a town, looking at different shops and just enjoying being where I am. Personality wise: i’m shy but once you get to know me i’m very hyper and quite annoying, haha. I love to help people out. I looooovvveee music and animals. Dancing and singing is also something I do in my pastime and I have a very active imagination. I’m a picky eater. Love to write as well.
