(Based on the movie version bc I just saw it (but I’ve yet to read the book))
Sasuke- Jonas (the Receiver)
Sakura- Fiona
Naruto- Asher
Kakashi- The Giver
Tsunade- Chief Elder (She’d be a Meryl Streep stan DOWN)
Mikoto- Jonas's mother
Fugaku- Jonas's father
Sarada- Gabe (ig😭)
Rin or Itachi- Rosemary (previous Receiver)
#naruto#au#the giver#somehow Sarada is Gabe just don’t think about it too hard🤸🏾♀️#Sakura and Fiona are literally like this🤞🏾🤞🏾#They’re both healers (and had a knack for it) and are perceptive and have faith esp towards their partners#Asher becomes a bit more mature than Naruto but their characters still match up for the most part#both love(d) to break the rules and ultimately have faith in their best friend#Sasuke and Asher are both quiet and seem to learn fairly quickly though they differ in some ways (and backgrounds ofc)#But narratively I think they work#trying to figure out where Itachi would fit into all this#maybe he was the previous Receiver but saw how the system was wrong and the village covered it up#Maybe the village becomes apprehensive towards the Uchiha becomeing Recievers bc of previous failings#instead of the previous receiver being the Giver’s daughter Rin (ykw? or Obito) is a past lover or friend or Itachi was his past mentee#So many ideas ouuuu
