Might consider Wel's catfish for RiverClan predators as well. They're invasive pretty much everywhere, can EASILY get large enough to eat a cat (in a big enough body of water, maybe more of a general lake danger than river specific), and are aggressive opportunists. Also they terrify me conceptually.
Anon I was like, "no, no way, they haven't spread that far north--" and then I found out there's FUCKING MANIACS stocking these things in lakes and rivers IN MANCHESTER
[id: a wels catfish. An angler is holding it by the mouth. The catfish is larger than the angler.]
Ohhhh my god it is only a matter of time before these things escape and decimate years worth of conservation progress in this area. They charge 30 pounds to go fish in a lake stocked with these living nightmares. Ooouuuuuuu that is noooot gooood...
I don't know how RiverClan could even get rid of one of these things if it got to this size, which is less likely considering the general temperature of this area, but with the heat lately??
I hope Pikefisher Anon is safe out there, they're gonna get eaten by this thing
