groundbreaking ceremony
The groundbreaking ceremony for 100 privately financed condominiums and a health center in St. Pölten, the capital of Lower Austria, was held on June 22, 2021.
Located at the intersection of MaximilianstraĂe and KerensstraĂe, not far from the main train station and St. Pölten University Clinic, the development is within walking distance of the city center and has excellent infrastructure.
The private outdoor spaces on each story are staggered, creating an interplay of loggias, balconies, and terraces that imbues the façade with uniqueness and identity. A total of more than 8,100 square meters of living space will be built, together with around 140 parking spots, a spacious bicycle garage, stroller rooms, and basement storage units.
The open spaces are substantial, ranging from private gardens, terraces, loggias, and balconies to a shared playground in the greenspace of the inner courtyard.
One of the highlights of the complex is the health center planned for the ground floor. More than 1,500 square meters will be made available for medical offices and practices. It is expected that the apartments will be ready for their new owners to move in by spring of 2023.

Ghosnâs Arrest Creates Uncertainties for Nissan-Renault and Its Brands
The implications for the Nissan and Infiniti brands in the US, and for brands such as Renault in Europe, arenât at all clear. And maybe there wonât be huge effects.
But the news that Carlos Ghosn is likely to be removed from his post as head of Nissan and Renault over âfinancial misconductâ continues the stunning turnover at the top of some of the most important global automotive brands in just the last several months.
And thereâs no way that is a good thing as companies struggle for share in an auto market that has cooled somewhat in many major markets, and as Nissan-Renault and all major carmakers piece together their strategies for electrification and autonomous driving in an industry rife with technology-driven change.
Japanese authorities arrested Ghosn in Tokyo on Monday, and Nissan said it intended to oust him from his job as CEO after uncovering âsignificant actsâ of financial misconduct, some of which reportedly involved understating his compensation in securities filings by about $44 million.
youtube
The Nissan board was said to be planning a meeting for Thursday where it is expected to oust Ghosn and Greg Kelly, another Nissan executive who was arrested for under-reporting of compensation in securities filings. Nissan said that it had uncovered numerous other financial abuses by Ghosn âsuch as personal use of company assets.â
Ghosn is chairman of Nissan, CEO of Renault and chairman of Mitsubishi, and was the architect of the alliance among the three companies that has become one of the strongest forces in the global automotive industry and a pioneer in vehicle electrification.
Thereâs been more turnover at the top of auto companies worldwide than in recent memory, including at Volkswagen and at Fiat Chrysler. Herbert Diess was installed as chief of Volkswagen last spring, taking over from Matthias Mueller in muddied circumstances, and Rupert Stadler, boss of the Audi unit of VW, was arrested in the companyâs Dieselgate scandal last summer and then fired.
Also over the summer, Sergio Marchionne, CEO and builder of the Fiat Chrysler turnaround, died rather suddenly from complications of surgery after the extent of his health problems apparently was shielded from the board.
Over two decades Carlos Ghosn built a global alliance between French carmaker Renault and Nissan of Japan. Now, after allegations of 'serious misconduct' one of the car industry's most powerful executives is facing removal from both companies. Read more: https://t.co/KOipmQw65n pic.twitter.com/SiamBlufij
â Financial Times (@FinancialTimes) November 20, 2018
And earlier this month, Robyn Denholm was named new chair at Tesla, following Elon Muskâs settlement with the SEC related to misleading claims that he had arranged a deal to take Tesla private.
Ghosn became Nissanâs chief operating officer in 1999 and CEO in 2001. Last year, he stepped down as Nissanâs CEO but retained the title of chairman. He built the three-company alliance from unlikely origins into a stable force in the industry, surviving the Great Recession of 2008 and also a long period of sluggishness in European auto sales after that.
He âbalanc[ed] three different companies with demanding elegance,â said Rebecca Lindland, executive analyst at Kelley Blue Book.

â Reuters Business (@ReutersBiz) November 20, 2018
But while Ghosnâs legacy is huge, it wasnât unsullied even before his arrest. âGhosn was ahead of the game when it came to automotive consolidation, and he did it in a unique way,â said Michelle Krebs, executive analyst at Autotrader. But he ânever achieved his vision for an all-electric world; far from it. He also issued the edict that Nissan would capture 10 percent market share in the U.S. That led to bad and unprofitable behaviors including huge discounting and giant fleet sales that resulted in slumping resale values.
âNissan also has had its share of quality problems as part of grinding out volume to snag market share.â
Ghosn said he hoped he could cement the alliance so that it would survive his eventual departure. Now, the three companies must test, ahead of schedule, what he built.
As Lindland noted, âThe alliance will continue without him, but this misconduct will cause disruption and uncertainty at the top for a while.â

Volkswagen dumps jailed Audi CEO amid emissions probe

VW fires jailed Audi CEO Rupert Stadler
VW AG has ended its contract with Rupert Stadler, removing the embattled executive as CEO and from the Audi and Volkswagen boards several months after he was arrested for his involvement in the cover-up of diesel emissions cheating at the company.
Stadler, who began working at Audi in 1990, is the latest executive at parent company Volkswagen AG, to be ousted in the wake of the diesel emissions cheating scandal that erupted three years ago. The scandal has implicated numerous executives and several brands under VW Group, including Volkswagen, Audi and even Porsche.
The diesel emissions scandal broke in 2015 when it was revealed that Volkswagen Groupâs so-called âClean Dieselâ vehicles had been fitted with software designed to cheat emissions tests.
Volkswagen fired its CEO Martin Winterkorn in 2015 for his connection to the scandal. Winterkorn was later charged with conspiracy and wire fraud in a U.S. court. Three years later, his replacement, Matthias MĂŒller was also removed as Volkswagen CEO and replaced with Herbert Diess.
Stadler was suspended as CEO following his arrest by German authorities in June in connection with a criminal investigation into the diesel emissions cheating. Stadler is still in jail.
Bram Schot has been acting as temporary CEO since Stadlerâs arrest.
Hereâs VWâs statement:
The supervisory boards of Volkswagen AG and AUDI AG have today consented to the conclusion of an agreement with Rupert Stadler on the termination of his offices as a member of the board of management of Volkswagen AG and chairman of the board of management of AUDI AG as well as of his service agreements. Mr. Stadler is leaving the companies with immediate effect and will no longer work for the Volkswagen Group. Mr. Stadler is doing so because, due to his ongoing pretrial detention, he is unable to fulfill his duties as a member of the board of management and wishes to concentrate on his defense. The contractual execution depends on the course and outcome of the criminal proceedings.
Stadler joined the companyâs board in 2003. He was made chairman of Audi AG four years later. In 2010, Stadler was appointed to Volkswagen AGâs board.

Michael Schickhofers Kampf gegen Donald Trump

Michael Schickhofers Kampf gegen Donald Trump
