WIP Wednesday - 9/27/23 (Closed)| Math Nerd AU

"Good, since you're going back there." Neil says and Andrew doesn't realize the breath he had been holding until he hear's Neil's reply.

Moreau has the audacity to nod as if he understood anything, "Yeah, I am. Thanks for that too." he says and maybe he does understand a few things.

"I just wanted to get in some extra practice over break." Neil dismisses and settles properly into the passenger seat.

"I'm sure." Moreau says with a roll of his eyes, "I'll text you when I land." he adds tone indicating it was mocking before turning and walking to the airport. Andrew watches Neil watch his every step, his shoulders only loosening once Moreau was safely inside.

"I'm going to sleep more." Neil says.

"No need to announce it." Andrew rolls his eyes as he looks for an opportunity to merge out into the airport traffic.

"I just thought I should warn you that you'll be lacking my excellent conversational skills." Neil jokes but his eyes are already closed.

"I prefer dead air." Andrew rolls his eyes as he guns it and merges across four lanes.

"I figured." Neil laughs and it's a real one.

Andrew watches as Ichirou and Riko walk away and turns his attention to an ashen faced Tetsuji. "Bold move, striking Ichirou's personal accountant right in front of him." Andrew finds himself saying with a raised brow.

All the color returned to Tetsuji's face in an instant as turned to snarl at Andrew. "You better watch that mouth of yours or I'll-"

"Or you'll what?" Neil asks with a laugh. "Tetsuji, what will you do right in front of a Main Family asset?" he asks.

Tetsuji was silent.

"That's what I thought." Neil says and with that he turned to Andrew, "Let's get out of here." he says.

Math Nerd AU (Part 7)

Neil Josten is just about the most boring new recruit that the Foxes had ever gotten. He makes healthy breakfasts, goes on morning runs, coupons, and (worst of all) genuinely loves math.

So why can’t Andrew stop thinking about the damn math nerd?
