Why Maternity Clothes Matter
Maternity clothing plays a pivotal role in every pregnant woman's life. These specially designed garments not only provide comfort but also allow you to maintain your style and confidence throughout your pregnancy. Here are a few reasons why investing in quality maternity clothes is essential:
Comfort is Key
Pregnancy brings about numerous physical changes, and your regular clothes may no longer fit comfortably. Maternity clothes are tailored to accommodate your growing belly and changing body shape, ensuring that you remain comfortable throughout your pregnancy.
Style and Confidence
Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your style. Maternity fashion has evolved significantly in recent years, offering a wide range of stylish options to suit any taste. These clothes help boost your confidence and make you feel beautiful during this special time in your life.
Functionality
Maternity clothes are designed with functionality in mind. They often feature adjustable waistbands, stretchy fabrics, and nursing-friendly designs. This ensures that you're not only stylish but also practical as you navigate the challenges of pregnancy and early motherhood.

Selecting the right maternity clothes is crucial to ensure comfort and style during your pregnancy. Here are some tips to help you choose the perfect pieces:
1. Know Your Size
Maternity clothing sizes are usually similar to your pre-pregnancy size. It's advisable to buy the size you were wearing before you became pregnant, as maternity clothes are designed with extra room to accommodate your growing belly.
2. Consider the Seasons
When shopping for maternity clothes, consider the season in which you'll be in your third trimester. Opt for lightweight and breathable fabrics for summer pregnancies and cozy, warm options for winter.
3. Invest in Versatile Pieces
Look for maternity clothes that can be mixed and matched to create various outfits. This will give you more flexibility and make your wardrobe go further.
4. Don't Forget About Nursing
If you plan to breastfeed, consider purchasing maternity clothes with nursing access. These pieces are designed to make breastfeeding more convenient, allowing you to wear them well into your post-pregnancy period.

The Ultimate Guide to Maternity Shopping in India
Embarking on the journey of motherhood is exhilarating, but it also brings many changes, especially when it comes to your wardrobe. As your body grows, finding clothes that offer comfort, flexibility, and style becomes essential.
This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about maternity shopping in India, from the best types of maternity wear to shopping tips that keep your budget intact.
Tumblr media
Understanding the Need for Maternity Shopping
Pregnancy means constant body changes, and regular clothing may quickly become uncomfortable. Investing in maternity wear ensures that you can continue with your daily activities comfortably. Plus, with evolving maternity fashion, it's now easier to stay stylish during pregnancy.
When to Start Shopping for Maternity Clothes
Signs You Need Maternity Clothes
Typically, most expectant mothers start noticing a need for new clothes between 12 to 16 weeks. If you're feeling snug in your usual clothes or the waistband on your pants feels tight, it's time to consider maternity wear.
Timeline and Trimesters for Maternity Shopping
In the first trimester, you might only need a few comfortable pieces. By the second trimester, maternity-specific clothing becomes more necessary as your body adjusts, and in the third trimester, stretchy and loose fits are essential.
Key Factors to Consider in Maternity Wear
Comfort and Fabric Choices
Opting for the right fabric is critical. Comfort is paramount, so look for soft, breathable fabrics like cotton, bamboo, and organic blends.
Natural Fibers vs. Synthetic Materials
Natural fibers, such as cotton and linen, are often more comfortable for prolonged wear. Synthetic fabrics may have more stretch, but can feel stifling in warm climates.
Seasonal Choices in Fabric
For summer pregnancies, go for lightweight and moisture-wicking materials, while winter pregnancies call for warmer, layered options.
Flexibility and Adaptability
Flexibility in maternity clothing means they can grow with you.
Adjustable Waistbands and Stretchy Materials
Look for clothing with adjustable waistbands and stretchy fabrics that allow for size flexibility as your pregnancy progresses.
Style and Aesthetics
Your maternity wardrobe should reflect your personal style while prioritizing comfort.
Balancing Comfort with Fashion
Today, maternity wear has evolved to include trendy and stylish options, making it easier to balance functionality with personal style.
Types of Maternity Clothing to Shop For
Everyday Maternity Essentials
Maternity Tops and Tees
Look for maternity tops, as they provide comfort without feeling too tight around the belly.
Maternity Bottoms – Jeans, Trousers, and Leggings
Opt for jeans and trousers with adjustable waists or elastic panels. Maternity leggings are a versatile option for casual wear.
Special Occasion Maternity Wear
Maternity Dresses and Gowns
For special events, maternity gowns and dresses offer both style and comfort. They are designed to be flowy and non-restrictive.
Traditional Wear – Sarees, Kurtis, and Lehengas
Indian maternity fashion offers maternity sarees, maternity kurtas, maternity kurtis, and maternity lehengas tailored to accommodate a growing belly, blending comfort with traditional elegance.
Maternity Innerwear and Support Wear
Maternity Bras and Nursing Bras
Invest in supportive maternity bras that are comfortable as your body changes. Nursing bras are useful post-pregnancy for easy breastfeeding access.
Belly Support Bands and Shapewear
Belly support bands can help alleviate lower back pain and provide comfort, especially in the later stages of pregnancy.
Where to Buy Maternity Clothes in India
Popular Online Stores for Maternity Wear
Shopping online offers convenience and variety. Top online stores for maternity wear include:
Amazon, Myntra, and FirstCry
These platforms offer a wide range of maternity wear at various price points, from affordable to premium options.
Niche Indian Brands for Maternity Wear
Local brands like Wobbly Walk and Zivame specialize in maternity clothing, offering styles uniquely tailored to Indian mothers.
Brick-and-Mortar Stores for Trying Before Buying
If you prefer to try clothes on before purchasing, head to local maternity boutiques and large retail stores with maternity sections.
Local Boutiques and Specialty Stores
Many cities have local boutiques that cater specifically to maternity needs, providing personalized shopping experiences.
Budget-Friendly Maternity Shopping Tips
Mixing Maternity and Regular Wardrobe
Extend the usability of your regular clothes by combining them with maternity items. Loose-fitting tops and stretchy skirts can work well during early stages.
Seasonal Sales and Discounts
Take advantage of seasonal sales and discounts, especially online, where deals on maternity wear are frequently available.
Sustainable and Secondhand Maternity Options
Secondhand shopping is a sustainable, affordable way to find maternity clothes. Consider thrift stores, online marketplaces, or swapping with friends.
Conclusion
Shopping for maternity wear in India offers a blend of comfort, style, and cultural adaptability. With thoughtful planning and a few versatile pieces, you can build a maternity wardrobe that lasts through all stages of pregnancy. Whether you're looking for traditional kurtis or contemporary dresses, there's an option for every need.

Essential Features in Maternity Kurta Sets for the Stylish Moms-to-Be
We understand that pregnancy is a whirlwind of emotions, cravings, and, of course, a beautiful bump that deserves to be celebrated in style. But finding comfortable and flattering clothes that keep up with your changing body can feel like a never-ending quest. Enter the maternity kurta set: a match made in comfy-chic heaven!
Here at Moms Ever, we precisely gauged the importance of feeling confident and stylish throughout your pregnancy journey. That's why we've designed our maternity kurta sets with features that flatter your growing bump and prioritize your comfort. So, leave behind the stress and dive into our guide to finding the perfect maternity kurta set for every stage of your pregnancy!
Fabric is Queen: Breathable Comfort All Day Long
The heart of any maternity kurta set lies in its fabric. At Moms Ever, we pick natural, breathable fabrics like cotton or rayon. These gentle materials allow your skin to breathe, keeping you cool and comfortable throughout the day. They also drape beautifully, creating a flattering silhouette that accentuates your curves without clinging. Additionally, natural fabrics are often softer and gentler on your sensitive skin, especially during pregnancy.
Embrace the Adjustability: Growing with Your Bump
One of the biggest challenges with maternity wear is finding clothes that adapt to your changing body. We gather and ruching techniques to create a universally flattering fit that accommodates your growing bump from the first trimester to the last. Look for features like adjustable waistbands with drawstring ties or pleating details that offer a flexible fit. This ensures you get maximum wear out of your kurta set, making it a valuable investment for during and post-pregnancy wear.
Nursing Access: Seamless Transition to Motherhood
Moms Ever knows that the journey doesn't end after delivery. Many of our maternity kurta sets come with discreet and convenient nursing access. This can be a hidden zipper along the neckline or cleverly placed panels that allow for easy breastfeeding without compromising the style of your kurta. This thoughtful feature enables you to easily nurse your little one while maintaining confidence and comfort.
More Than Just Comfort: Style that Makes You Shine
Pregnancy is a time to celebrate your changing body and embrace your inner radiance. Moms Ever offers a variety of kurta styles and designs to suit your personal taste. From classic and elegant cuts to vibrant prints and playful patterns, you'll find a kurta set that makes you feel beautiful and reflects your unique style. Don't be afraid to experiment with different colours and silhouettes to create a maternity wardrobe that makes you feel confident and ready to take on the world (or at least the grocery store!).
Finding Your Perfect Maternity Kurta Set with Moms Ever
With these essential features in mind, you're well on your way to finding the perfect maternity kurta set for your pregnancy journey. Explore Moms Ever's collection and discover a world of comfort, style, and functionality. Remember, mama, you deserve to feel beautiful and confident every step of the way. Media and information about Guilherme Taucci
For those who don't speak Portuguese and want to know more about the Suzano massacre and Guilherme
About Guilherme
Guilherme Taucci Monteiro was born on 07/05/2001 in the city of Mogi das Cruzes, in the interior of São Paulo.
He moved to Suzano at a very young age to live with his grandparents in the Jardim Imperador neighborhood.
He came from a humble family. At the age of 6 months, he began to be raised by his maternal grandparents, Benedito Luiz Cardoso and Arlete Taucci, because his parents, Tatiana Taucci and Rogério Machado Monteiro, were drug addicts. His mother already had a son before him, Victor, who was raised by his father's family. Years later, she gave birth to two girls, who lived with Taucci and his grandparents. In 2015, she had Vitória, who lives with her father.
He was a quiet boy until his teenage years. In 2017, he dropped out of his second year of high school at Raul Brasil, claiming he had no friends. Some people remember that he was not bullied, while others claim that he was teased because of the acne on his face and back – one of his biggest insecurities. Benedito even paid for him to get acne treatment. “He studied until his second year of high school, last year. Then he dropped out of school. He complained that people were making fun of the pimples on his face and back. They gave him embarrassing nicknames. I even paid for his [acne] treatment,” he recalled. He worked with his maternal uncle, Jorge Antonio Moraes, but was fired in 2017.
Antonio was not the only family member with whom Taucci had disagreements. Benedito stated that Guilherme had never drunk or used drugs, at least not in front of him, and used to say that he “wanted to burn all drug users”, referring to his parents. Taucci and his mother didn’t get along and rarely saw each other. His grandfather, relatives and people who knew Taucci all had good things to say about him and said it was impossible to imagine he would do something like that. His grandfather said, “He was a good boy, he didn’t have any drug problems and he never gave me any trouble.” Loving, obedient, passionate about games, polite, careful with his sisters – a 9-year-old girl and a 7-year-old girl – quiet and shy, these are adjectives he likes to describe his grandson. “If someone told me that, I would say it was a lie. He was always very polite, very reserved and very respectful. He was very fond of his grandfather. I can’t understand what could have caused such an outburst,” says his aunt Karina Morais. “They were normal boys (Luiz and Taucci). They said good morning, good afternoon, good night. They didn’t do drugs,” says driver Cássio Nogueira, 39, a neighbor who saw them grow up. “He always liked Nazism, gothic clothes and that emo fringe. The boys have fun with these things, it wasn't just him. My poor son,” says his mother. Benedito claims that Taucci had plans for his life.
Months after the massacre, he would turn 18 and Luiz Henrique de Castro's father had promised Taucci a job in the same position as his friend, cleaning and preserving squares in São Paulo. According to Benedito, he would earn R$1,400 per month and would receive food vouchers. He told his grandfather that he would give him the voucher to help with household expenses, since Benedito has a minimum retirement income. He also said that Taucci used to accept short-term jobs to buy games or other items online. The last job he supposedly got was at a hot dog stand, earning R$600.00.
Taucci’s grandmother passed away in December 2018. Benedito recalls that Guilherme seemed indifferent at first, but when asked if he wasn’t suffering the loss, he replied: “Grandpa, I felt it on the way.” On the morning of the attack, Guilherme left a burned photo on the floor of his room, which his mother recognized as being of him with the teenager’s father. Benedito also talks about his grandson’s behavior the day before the massacre, “Yesterday, when he came home from the street at night, I heated up dinner for him. Everything was fine,” Guilherme ate rice, beans and a hamburger. “He loved hamburgers.”
We can’t pinpoint the exact reasons for him carrying out a school shooting, since Benedito always gave him what he wanted: his computer, TV, internet and, as he has said several times, he seemed “fine” with his life. No one would ever know what they planned to do.

_____________________________
You sit at the far end of the couch, trying to make yourself as small as possible. You weren’t meant to be there. In Mark’s apartment. You meant to be at home, with Jungkook. Cuddling on the couch, watching reruns of Masterchef, talking about the events of today. Letting him stroke your hair as he drew out your true feelings in the magical way he did best.
Startling you, a cup of steaming liquid is placed on the coffee table.
“Drink this, it should relax you. “ he smiles down at you, hair flopping into his eyes.
You were not going to drink anything gave you. Considering he had basically kidnapped you.
You shift in your seat, the leather groaning under your bare thighs.
He looks down at your exposed legs, you tug at your dress, trying to pull the non-stretchy material  over your knees. A short puff of air comes from his nose and he laughs.
“Let me get you something to wear. You left some clothes here.” He turns away.
In a quiet voice, you say:
“They won’t fit.” You squeak. Knowing the only thing you had left in his possession was the tightly fitted dress you intended to wear out on the day he broke up with you. That day, you rushed out of his apartment, wearing nothing but your pyjamas.
He chuckles.
“That’s right. You’re growing our child. I guess you’ve bought some new clothes, even your maternity wear is sexy. Nothing much has changed.” He walks back over to you. The couch sinks in as he sits down, his hand rests on your exposed knee. You freeze. He was never violent or forceful when you were together but you were seeing a completely different side of him.
“Still wearing short dresses like this one. We need to get you ready for motherhood. We’ll look online later for more appropriate clothes.” He pats your leg before standing up.
“ I have some sweatpants somewhere.” He disappears into his bedroom.
You frantically dig around in your bag for your phone and see that you still have no signal. You quickly swipe down and turn on the wifi.
You connect. Four beautiful bars decorate the top of the screen.
‘Mark won’t let me leave’
Quickly pressing the resend button, you furiously type out a second message.
‘At Mark’s. Need you.’
You press send before shoving the device back into your bag.
As you set your bag back down, Mark exits his bedroom, clutching a few clothes in his hands. Thankfully, his gaze was focused elsewhere and he didn’t notice you fiddling with your bag.
“I have these sweatpants, these should fit, and this hoodie was your favourite to steal, so I know it fits.” He walks over and places the clothes in your lap, over your clasped hands.
You mutter a ‘thank you’ before standing up and grabbing the clothes.
“Where are you going?” He questions, eyebrows raised.
Your mouth hangs open in hesitation before you speak.
“I-I’m going to get changed.” You stutter, holding the clothes close to your chest, as if they could provide you comfort. But they had no arms to wrap around you, the only thing that wrap around your shaking body was fear.
“You can get changed here. Not like I haven’t seen it all before.” He slightly smirks.
Gulping, you create some distance between the two of you. You slowly place the clothes on the arm of the sofa, then you reach behind you, trying to unzip your dress. Before your fingers could touch the cool metal zip, you feel him pressed up behind you. His hands brush your hair to one side.
“Let me help you.” He drags the zip down your back, allowing his fingers to skim over exposed skin. You shudder as he places his chapped lips on your back.
“Done.” He whispers.
You nod, trying to keep your body still, but you couldn’t help but shake out of fear.
He moves back to sit on the couch, leaning back with his legs spread. You focus your gaze on a spot on the wallpaper, as you let the dress fall to the floor. You feel his eyes zone in on your belly. You quickly grab the hoodie and toss it over. Your head, shoving your arms through the sleeves. You opt to sit down to put on the sweatpants, deciding it would be better not to bend over in front of him. You slide the sweatpants on, one leg at a time, pulling the stretchy waistband over your precious bump.
You pick up your dress and fold it, moving to place it in your handbag. Before you could do so, he snatches the dress from you, and walks over to the trashcan. He steps on the pedal and throws the floral clump of material in the metal can. The soft sound of the lid closing is all that you can hear.
You eye your bag, so desperate to check your phone to see if Jungkook was on his way to rescue you.
Mark turns away from the bin, you look at him immediately.
“No more of that. Only the best clothes for the mother of my child.” He sits down next to you, pulling you into him. Your body is tense as he tries to make you rest in the crook of his arm, he falls back on the plump couch.
“You know, my grandmother really adored you. She used to tell me how I should settle down with you.” He strokes your hair, fingers tangling in the curls that where becoming frizzy as he ran his fingers through them.
You knew he was very close with his grandmother, she basically raised him since he was 5 years old. Mark had a complicated relationship with his parents, he only saw them once a year. But his grandmother, he saw her every Sunday. If he could finish his work early enough, he would try his best to have dinner with her 3 times a week. When you dated, he introduced you to her, she was always very nice to you. Maybe she could talk some sense into him, there was no way that she would let him get away with this.
Slightly relaxing, to seem more believable.
“Maybe we should call her? She would like to hear that we’re back together, right?” You suggest.
His hand stops moving, his breath halts in his chest.
“She’s dead.”
You hold your breath.
“I’m so s-“ you start.
“She’s dead and I did nothing but disappoint her. I didn’t take school seriously, I didn’t get serious about my career until a year ago. I didn’t give her any grandchildren. And she’ll never see me do that.” He breathes out, leaning forward, to put his head in his hands.
You were scared but you could start to see what was happening, he was clearly having an extreme reaction to his grandmother passing, this was him dealing with grief. If he came to you beforehand, no matter how much hurt he had caused you before, you would’ve comforted him. He was someone you once cared deeply for. But now, you were being kept against your will, you didn’t have a lot of sympathy for him.
“But I can fix this. I got you back, you’re having my kid.” He says, lifting his head out of his hands to look at you. Tears decorated the rims of his eyes, tears threatening to fall.
You bring on hand up to rest on his shoulder, shaking, you rub circles into his back.
“I’m sure she was proud of you, no matter what. She loved you with her whole soul. With or without grandkids.” You lean forward, your face level with his, hoping that your words would bring him to his senses.
He looks at you briefly before quickly wiping his tears.
“Let me make you some dinner. You still like Mac and cheese, right?” He stands up, ripping his tie off of his neck, unbuttoning a few buttons.
He doesn’t wait for you to reply, before heading to the kitchen to prepare the meal.
Unfortunately he lived in a open plan apartment, so he could keep an eye on you from the kitchen, there was no way you could check your phone without him seeing.
“Turn on the TV. Put on one of those shitty comedy shows you like to watch so much.” He remarks, reaching up in the cupboard to pull out a pot.
You scoff to yourself, he was having a literal mental breakdown and he had the audacity to criticise your choice in TV.
You search in the couch for the remote, where it usually was when you dated him. Along side the remote, you saw his car-keys with a little key fob attached. ‘Wifi-jammer’ was engraved into the side. It all clicks, it must’ve been turned on when you were in the car. You quickly turn the tv on, finding Netflix and choosing some cheesy comedy. You quietly shove the car keys back between the cracks of the sofa.
Suddenly, your phone starts to ring, the vibration pushing through your bag, getting louder as it buzzes against the smooth leather of the couch.
Before you had the chance to reach into your bag, Mark runs across the room and snatches your bag up. You watch as his hands rummage through your tote and pulls out your phone case, the dangling charms almost mocking you with how freely they swing, reaffirming that you were trapped.
“He must be wondering where you are.” He chuckles, before turning off the device and tucking it into his back pocket.
Tears threaten to fall from your eyes, you were scared. Scared for you, scared for your baby.
Mark looks at you, eyes softening. His rough hand comes up to stroke your cheek. He presses his lips to yours. You don’t react. Lips closed tightly as he pecks your lips two times before returning to the kitchen. You bring your legs up under you as cower on the couch.
~~~~~~
Jungkook presses your contact once more as it goes straight to voicemail. He tries his best to keep focused as he presses his foot down on the gas. He didn’t know where Mark lived, so he had to ask the one person, besides you, who would know. Hyejin.
He had to go to her house first, considering she blocked him on everything, this was the only way he could get ahold of her.
He pulls up outside her building, parking crooked, leaving his lights on.
He dashes inside, bypassing the doorman, who greeted him in shock as he watched the young man call of the elevators. Jungkook waits, running his hands through his hair, biting his lip piercing.
The elevator arrives, and he frantically presses the number  he needed before repeatedly pressing the close door button.
He arrives to Hyejin’s floor, running to her door. He presses the doorbell and bangs on the door, hoping she’d come quickly.
The door doesn’t open but Hyejin’s voice comes out off the doorbell’s speaker.
“What do you want?” She says, her tone full of boredom.
“I need Mark’s address.” He stares at the door.
She snorts.
“Why? You wanna beat him up?”
He groans in frustration.
“Hyejin, I don’t have time for this! He literally kidnapped my girlfriend.”
The door opens.
“What?” She says in shock, her eyes opening wide.
“I don’t have time to explain, I don’t even know how to explain. Just give me the address, please.”
She stares at him, arms folded.
“Why should I believe you? What if you’re just having a breakdown because your girlfriend left you?”
Jungkook drops to his knees and brings his hands up to press the together.
“I’m begging you. I don’t think she’s safe.”
Hyejin’s heart softens at the sight of her ex-boyfriend on the floor.
She gestures for him to get up.
Pulling her phone out of her pocket, her thumb moves a few times.
“I unblocked you and sent you the address.” She shuts the door. Leaning against the cold wood, a few tears escape her eye. She wonders if Jungkook would ever fight for her like he was fighting for you. If he felt anything for her at all?
~~~~~~
Jungkook takes the stairs and runs to his car. He clicks the address that was ent to him and lets his phone guide him to Mark’s apartment building.
He parks on the side of the road, his car up on the curb. He hears the parking attendant shouting at him as he runs inside the building. He calls the elevator, checking his phone as he presses the right number.
It feels like an hour before he gets to the floor, his heart beating loudly in his chest. He comes up to Mark’s door, he can hear the TV from outside, and the smell of food seeps through the door.
He rings the doorbell and hides from the camera’s view.
“I ordered some stuff for the nursery, it must’ve arrived.” He hears a deep voice say, before the door opens.
He moves quickly and pushes Mark and makes his way into the apartment. Scanning the room, he sees you seated at the dining table, eyes red from tears.
He rushes towards you, arms encasing you. You sob as you wrap your arms around him.
“Are you okay? Did he hurt you?” He pulls back slightly, to give you the once over.
You shake your head.
“Let’s go.” Jungkook pulls you up, your hand in his.
As soon as you walk away from the table, Mark is standing there with a knife in his hand.
“You’re not taking her anywhere.”

I mostly didn't actually find it that hard not to talk about my pregnancy online lmao but one thing I did want to yell about: maternity clothes are soooo shit!! Everything is black or grey or beige. Breastfeeding is going well enough that I will probably need to buy some bits I can wear and I'm running into the same problem. As a dopamine dressing t-shirt and jumper enthusiast it was going to be an adjustment for me anyway but I simply refuse to be relegated to plain vest tops and shapeless wrap dresses
