Chuuya doesnât celebrate his 17th birthday. Heâs home alone, downing glass after glass of Albatrossâ favourite gin. Personally, Chuuya hates gin, but as much as he despises stupid sentiments, the bitter taste makes him feel like Albatross is here, like Albatross is alive.
The burning sensation gin leaves in his throat is incomparable to the bitter thoughts swarming in Chuuyaâs head.
He thinks of how heâs now older than Albatross will ever be. Albatross will stay 16 forever, and itâs surreal how the person that used to be so loud and boisterous, now remains still and quiet in his grave.
Chuuya would give anything to wake up at night because of yet another crazy party upstairs. He would give anything to listen to his obnoxiously loud friendâs stories again. He would give anything to be dragged to another bizarre Albatross-style adventure again.
Eventually, Chuuya passes out on the couch and wakes up to the ringing silence, trying so hard to hear any noise from the vacant apartment upstairs, praying that it was all just a bad dream.Â
Thereâs nothing but deafening silence.
He spends his 21st birthday alone again, binge-watching Lippmannâs movies. Heâs older than Lippmann will ever be now, and it feels like the realisation is choking him.
âYouâll be 20 forever,â Chuuya says quietly, his voice cracking, as he looks at Lippmann smiling on the screen, radiant and charming, his charismatic acting becoming his undying heritage.
When Chuuya turns 25, he thinks of Iceman and Doc, looking through the pictures theyâve taken in their short time together. He reminisces and smiles thinking of his friendsâ quirks. The smile disappears from his face when Albatrossâ voice suddenly echoes in Chuuyaâs head.
âYou gotta save Doc,â Albatross says frantically, life rapidly fading from his eyes. Chuuya puts the photograph aside and covers his face with his hands. âSorry, âTross,â Chuuya croaks. âI couldnât.â
Chuuya takes a day off on his 26th birthday â he canât even bring himself to get out of his bed today, let alone deal with the Port Mafia business. Heâs officially older than Pianoman now.
He remembers how Doc told Chuuya, Iceman, Lippmann and Albatross about the rumour that Pianoman will become an Executive soon.
Iceman just shook his head â he wasnât the type to enjoy gossip. Albatross instantly started planning the party. Lippmann ran off to find out more from the Port Mafiaâs secretaries.
Now, Chuuya is an Executive, even though Pianoman deserved to be one like no one else. Probably, even more than Chuuya â at least it feels like it.
He looks at the photograph of all six of them together in Old World, taken just a few hours before the massacre, smiling at the camera without a care in the world. It feels like it was just yesterday and at the same time like eons ago.
âYouâll stay forever young, guys,â Chuuya says to the photograph with a lump in his throat. âI wish I could be with you,â he adds, his vision getting blurry.
The Flags look at him from the photo.
Chuuya knows theyâve forgiven him.
Chuuya knows he will never forgive himself.

we can take them all down.
hey, no hard feelings, right?
we're all on the same side.
i'll be there making sure that you get what's yours without a hitch.
the fuck's your head at?
we're in the middle of a gang war.
i'm doing what i was told.
what's the difference between the mafia and the government? one of them is organized!
you fucking traitor!
what the fuck was i supposed to do?
they ambushed us 'cause they think we're weak.
is that all you care about?
we can get more money, gentlemen.
justice is what matters.
why aren't his killers strung up across the city?
open your eyes, they weren't working alone.
you don't call the shots around here.
you've done enough.
you've always had a nose for bullshit.
if there's a rat, we'll find him.
what do you want?
i know we've got our differences.
i'm willing to look past the pain you put me through, if you are.
look, i'm on your side.
it should be you in there, calling the shots.
you think you know what's best for me, hmm? you think you know what i need?
very convenient that, all of a sudden, you're on my side.
you are scrambling for whatever dignity you have left and you're hoping i will save you.
i don't owe you a fucking thing.
you ain't seen what i can do.
i'm glad you could make it.
this is the guy who fŐœckĐ”d up the taco order.
baby, can we talk?
no one's untouchable.
look at me.
you just gotta trust me.
you seen me through worse, and i always come out the other side, better than before.
trust me.
i appreciate the gesture, but this is too much.
everything okay?
i deserve a better life.
i won't let you down.
not a fan of crowds?
shit like this, the pain of it, you gotta be careful, 'cause it'll eat you alive if you let it.
listen, what i said before, i meant.
you said you wanted answers, i brought you answers.
what am i looking at?
we could be driving to our deaths right now.
hey, look at me. look at me.
i like your dress. you always had such great style.
do you remember all those wild nights at lake como?
a young woman in this family? might not end well for her.
can you hear me?
you're gonna have to do something for me first.
i told you to come to me. not go behind my back.
there is a traitor in this family, and i brought you someone who can give us an actual fŐœcking answer.
you sent us there to get massacred!
fuck your mother, you dirty rat!
i will not tolerate a rat.
give me your fucking gun.
maybe it's time for you to leave gotham.
italy is beautiful this time of year.
this is what happens when you choke, understand?
dead's a one-way street.
you know how close i got to getting popped tonight?
i refuse to let these old fŐœcking men push me aside again, like i'm nothing.
you in?
let's dance.

how was there any difference from dead apple and season 5 finale in terms of dazai's plans in your opinion?
I mean, it depends on how you read Dazai's strategizing. The more I read BSD the more I realize that Dazai isn't the primary strategist of the series. In the PM Mori was the one who made the large scale overarching plans, he still makes some of the most efficient plans in the Mafia. He himself said that with Dazai as his right hand man they could have taken out the Guild with ease. Similarly Ranpo does the large scale planning in the Agency. Dazai's main role is to be the support, covering any blind spots in their plan, making on the spot rapid changes to the plans when the unpredictable elements rear their head and threaten the success of the plan. The only time Dazai is the primary strategist is in his plans with Chuuya where Chuuya covers his blind spots.
Imo, Dazai's plan in Dead apple wasn't super intricate, it was what he does best, get close enough to the bigger threat (Fyodor) to keep an eye on him just in case, turn their allies against them so they can be used to weaken them (Shibusawa and Sigma) and then trusting the people on the outside to do their part by any means necessary. Chuuya just happens to be the one element he has 110% faith in due to their weird soulmatism thing.
I think the thing that is different with meursault is that Dazai is completely dependent on Ango's very limited method of relaying information and cannot alter the strategies at all, so he is 100% dependent on Ranpo's strategizing. The other big difference was that unlike the usual skk team ups Dazai most likely didnt know if Chuuya was even on his side when he first came to the prison. Chuuya has a pretty clean method of killing, its flashy, yes, but efficient and quick. Chuuya deliberately massacred the guards in the prison which isn't really his style and didnt respond to any of Dazai's taunting. And his plan with Sigma was a near failure cuz Sigma failed to do what Dazai entrusted him with and only succeeded cause Fyodor just handed it to him instead.

Hotline Miami, a pixel-art game; an explanation - By RPG.
Hotline Miami is a 2012 top-down shooter. The game takes the place of the perspective of one unnamed character, monikered as "jacket" by the fanbase for his notable jacket, committing multiple massacres against the Russian Mafia by behest of numerous anonymous text messages. In each stage of the game, the player is tasked with eliminating enemies by any means possible; ranging from the simple use of firearms and melee weapons to more creative options like using doors to knock out enemies and brutal execution methods.
The game itself is divided into several chapters. For each opponent killed, the more points you gather; these points are tallied at the end of each level and gives you a "performance" rating.
Notes to make:
The game is set within a top-down view; this reflects upon the style of pixel-art used for characters and level design.
It is set within a specific colour palette, one that shares it similarities with both new-wave and art-deco colour palettes; this would make a lot of sense considering the game is set in 1980's Miami, during the Miami Drug Wars.
Characters are made to appear in realistic-styled clothing, featuring fashion commonly seen in Miami around the late 70's to late 80's era. Enemies can feature a multitude of different clothing types; blazers, tank-tops, chinos, suit trousers and suit shirts to name a few.
The player character designs are relevant to their proposed design from a front-on view, with the exception that all you can see is the top of their heads, their arms when they aim and shoot and partially their legs and feet when they run.
Level design is done in specifics, and change from one map to another based on the stage. For example, the level pictured above is different to others; where the colours and objects change when the player reaches another floor.
youtube
When talking about the game's use of pixel art, there are things that are notable about the designs:
The style of pixel art is simple, but outlined (sort of what you would expect in a retro-style NES/SNES game).
Level design utilises a simple style of pixel art, where edges are only highlighted by bold black outlines and no shading or detailing is featured. The same could be said about the objects featured within these levels, taking for example the sinks in the picture above; having some level of detail when depicting shadows but no other detailing to the sinks themselves.
In terms of UI, the points and rounds counter, it is done in a retro style; most commonly seen with 1970s era early video games like Tetris (Original version to be played on Soviet computers) and Atari Breakout. These are also done in pixel art style, and featuring shadowing in pink behind the salmon coloured text.

1. Andoria vs. Vulcan
A chronological telling of the Andorian-Vulcan century-long conflict which resulted in both sides developing extremely underground spy networks specifically to monitor each other, in direct contradiction to peace treaty terms.
2. Xindi: Homeworld
Each episode follows a different species of the Xindi as they slowly destroy their planet and massacre an entire branch of their indigenous population: the Avians.
3. NiâVar: Origins
No, not the part with Spock and the entire TNG cast. The one from before. When Vulcans and Romulans were the same species, indistinguishable and constantly at war, before Romulus was founded and the Vulcans tamed their ~emotions~.
4. How Far Pon Farr?
A comedy show set in the Star Trek universe, mockumentary-style, depicting 10 Vulcan males and 10 Vulcan females whose Pon Farrs all match up, and showing how they choose their mates. Along with hilarious interview-style explanations for why certain choices are more logical than others and how âTâPera clearly does not understand the logic of our match, she has instead chosen to scandalously seduce Sukan in broad daylight, which makes no sense to me. I must intervene, or there will be disaster.â *scene clips to TâPera and Sukan drinking Vulcan tea outside, and TâPeraâs ankle skin is showing.
5. Marquis Maquis
A mafia-style story of the founding of the Maquis and how weapons trafficking became a trademark strategy of messing with the Federation, told in frame-story fashion from an imprisoned mob boss from a Cardassian colony.
6. Replicated Coffee On The House
Slice-of-life animated show following the owner of a coffee-shop on Earth circa DS9-era Dominion War period of history. Fatalistic and depressing, as Earth citizens and visitors alike bring their horror stories from the front of the War, which is far, far away, into the shop for the barista to deal with day-after-day.
7. Starfleet Academy: Klingon Foreign Exchange
Starfleet cadets attending the first ever Klingon-exchange program on Kronos.
8. Grand Nagus: Latinum Blues
Following the very first Grand Nagusâ installation, and the writing of the Rules of Acquisition. We finally find out what all of them canonically are.
9. Alien Flora & Fauna
Following a exo-biologist as they chronicle all the animals, plants, and animal species on every Federation member world. Each episode is a different planet.
10. Klingon Opera: Braveheart
The tale of Kahlessâ legend, musical style.
