Celebrate 60 Years of Earth's Mightiest Heroes With Marvel's Future Avengers

While I have literally grown up with comics, and as a result often prefer the more mature, groundbreaking stories, there’s something to be said for all ages fare. After all, if the animated X-Men and Spider-Man tv series hadn’t been all ages, I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy them growing up. Now, Marvel HQ is celebrating 60 years of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, AKA the Avengers, with a new anime…

Marvel has recently announced that they are currently producing a new anime series based on the Avengers titled “, Marvel Future Avengers.”  The series will premiere this Summer on the Japanese broadcast channel, Dlife,  and will be targeted for a young male audience.

The series features a young boy named Makoto who is given superpowers caused by undergoing an evil gene manipulation experiment.  He along with a group of young heroes join the Avengers as apprentices and become the “Future Avengers.”   The main team of Avengers featured on the show will consist of: Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Wasp.

The series will also receive a manga adaptation illustrated by Teruaki Mizuno, which will debut in the April issue of the Coro Coro Comics Special Magazine.
