Some days ago (I think it was Monday) I looked at the results of Hille, Eisei and Stephan to make sense of where they stand as of right now, because to me personally it didn't make sense to base this on who has the most worldcup points.

Out of the three of them, Hille beats the others 4 times, Markus and Stephan both do it 3 times.

Stephan is the only one who once didn't make the competition at all, but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on that since it was the Saturday in Ruka.

It's worth mentioning, that Hille is the only one out of them who scored at least once every weekend. Therefore he's the most consistent. But people don't see that since Markus and Stephan each made the Top 20 twice and so of course have more points.

Additionally, both Hille and Stephan each only once have been 40th or worse in a competition, while Markus has been there 4 times.

All in all, the decision makes perfect sense to me and people once again don't make sense to me, so yeah, it is how it is I guess.
