First of all, thank you for the request, anon!! It made my day when I saw it 🥺🥺💗

This was fun to dive into! The original concept art by Thomas really fits my style/vibe, and I LOVE the grayscale + monocolor red combo, probably too much haha. Although I could go for a more PG version like the cover that ended up at the end of The Evillustrator 😂

Honestly, I think the fandom is sleeping on this Marietta/early Marinette design, so I'm glad you and I can help it spread 😎

Princess Justice (Or Marietta, I can’t decide which) 

So.. a lot of thought went into this but what really sparked the inspiration for me was realizing that Marinette was kind of a smash of the name Marie Antoinette. Which is even funnier because she’s the daughter of two bakers and Marie Antoinette is known for the quote “let them eat cake”! 

You can’t really see in this picture but she has a bag which produces macarons. When someone eats the macarons they see the way they’ve impacted those around them. It weighs their true intentions in their hearts and one of two things happens: they either become a knight to defend and serve Princess Justice, or they are put in magical stocks that prevents them from escaping. On those stocks are their worst deeds for everyone to see. 

Her mask allows her to see the injustices within people, and how much of it there is. She isn’t a violent akuma, and is only interested in bringing about peace once and for all, which includes taking down hawkmoth. She’s so peaceful, in fact, that when she first walks throughout the streets of Paris people think she’s in a costume of some sort and flock to her to compliment her. 

However, when she is angered she becomes incredibly ruthless.

Yep, here’s another drawing I “did”, based on this drawing of Silk (which reminds me a lot of Marietta/Coccinelle). I can’t draw at all so I had to copy everything, sorry. Also, I can’t do shade, that’s why the shade on Coccinelle’s arms seems a bit off. But I liked the result, even if everything was made with a mouse.

The outfit was inspired by this fanart of Ladybug by Jessdoddlesthings, because I love it! Original art by Stacey Lee, go check it out her work, I fell in love with Silk/Cindy Moon and her art is guilty of it.
