Propaganda
Marge Champion (Show Boat, Give a Girl a Break, Three for the Show)—Underrated dancing queen!! Also served as an uncredited model for several Disney films, including Snow White, The Blue Fairy in Pinocchio, the Hyacinth Hippo in Fantasia, and Mr. Stork in Dumbo. The range!
Donna Reed (It's a Wonderful Life, From Here to Eternity)—The scene where she is in a bathrobe, walking down the street after falling into a pool while dancing with Jimmy Stewart, playing coy and looking just radiant….. I fell so head over heels in love with her.
This is round 1 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.

Despite her association with the clean and conservative 1950s, Reed became an anti-nuclear activist and anti-Vietnam protester. She also won her Oscar for playing a prostitute. She was an accomplished baseball player in high school, so they didn't have to use a body double to throw the rock at the old house in It's a Wonderful Life.
It's a wonderful life comes on tv every christmas and everytime I am captivated by her beauty and talent. She was also a notable anti-war activist.

The titular sequence from the film "Give a Girl a Break" features:
Bob Fosse and Debbie Reynolds popping balloons and getting played in reverse
Helen Woods' ballet, jazz, and acrobatic chops (paired with Kurt Kasznar)
The Champions doing a soppy number aping American In Paris hard, but there are some interesting poledancing elements.

MARGE CHAMPION // DANCER
“She was an American dancer and actress. At fourteen, she was hired as a dance model for Walt Disney Studios animated films. Later, she performed as an actress and dancer in film musicals, and in 1957 had a television show based on song and dance. She also did creative choreography for liturgy, and served as a dialogue and movement coach for the 1978 TV miniseries, The Awakening Land, set in the late 18th century in the Ohio Valley.”
