Series 2 of Derry Girls

When Lisa McGee said she wanted to write a love interest for one of the girls next season, I was like, why do that when you conveniently have James Maguire (or the wee English fella) and Erin Quinn, right there. And they hate each other, nonetheless!

Ah, too easy.

What would their ship name be?

Jerin? Maquinn? I don’t know

And why are they always standing so close if they’re enemies, huh? Example:

None of us know. All we know is that she was pretty focused on him in episode 4.

And can we just take a moment to appreciate that she thinks James deserves a girlfriend who loves him, even though she supposedly despises everything English? Or the fact that when Erin was like:

“Can the girls and James sleep over?”

Her parents were like:

“Okay.”

And that she was really sad when she was “fighting” with Clare and James wouldn’t talk to her?

Ah, six episodes, new OTP, season 2 in March.

Not okay. Really not okay.

Can we also talk about how James and Katya (I think?) broke up and never spoke to each other again? I mean, James took Erin’s side after that embarrassing moment, even though she was accusing his girlfriend of a pretty serious thing.

So for actual season 2, Lisa also said James might join a band. We only really know of one local band, David’s band. So what if James joins them, becomes super popular and ends up being really good at whatever he plays. And we find out David’s just this wannabe rockstar who really just plays to get girls, and Jame’s the one with the actual talent.

My mind is a strange place, I know. And I’m totally obsessing here, but I have to get it out. If anyone else has theories (or dreams, really) please post them. I don’t know how I’ll survive until March if you don’t.
