Do you remember that moment as a child when someone taught you how to fold a paper airplane? I do. It was with my Dad at a restaurant booth table during the same trip that he taught me the alphabet backwards. That is a whole nother story! Dad was an actual pilot. Although I can't remember the words he said that day, I'm sure he was busy telling his flying stories as he did so often. Today is also This week is

It's #MapReadingWeek! Yes, that's a thing. In a world where GPS is a cracked clutch too many people depend on for every day travel, and where the average person doesn't know what direction North is, this has become a forgotten life skill that we need to keep in practise. As much as we'd love to find a pirate's treasure map in our own attic, how many kids these days could actually READ IT? Today, I challenge you to get a map (Google Maps actually works nicely) and figure out where all of your favorite haunts are, and know which way is North from your house. Next time you give directions, use your cardinal directions! If you're planning a road trip, get out a paper map -- any driver should have one of their town, just in case your phone is dead and you get lost somewhere. Maps aren't just for video games! It's a life skill. Hell, plan an old school treasure hunt with some friends! Make a map of your town and leave clues scattered about with more maps to more places! Can make for a great date night (or engagement game...) too!

Each of you chooses a tiara for another with love and meaning and place it upon their head with affirmation of who you know them to be. It is actually a lot of fun and super empowering. Today is also This week is
