Amane is my low key fave. My side blorbo. I never talk about her because the main cast has so much going on and I LIKE what they have going on. But. She's a six foot tall woman who runs a beach house for lost ghosts and she's so good at it that it is never once plot relevant. In fact ghosts never come up again at all. She's by far the most competent character, easy. No one's sure if she's human or not. I love her

on an adventure today! i finished my exams this morning and im going to pick up three items free - a guitar, a sweater, and a shirt! (discovered them on an online freecycle app. there was also a drum kit but no too much even for me. drums guitar and piano? yeah right that's a death wish im not a one-man-band. although I think yuga could probably pull it off)

as expected i got lost immediately fr since i set out from my school neighborhood (which is basically unknown to me + the fact that I rarely go anywhere) but after asking for directions from a bicycling primary schooler I've managed to make it to my first stop-

chua chu kang for the guitar! im waiting for the kind donor at the void deck now! will update with pics. i expect to be waiting 20 min or so because I reached a little early, and I don't think she's checking her phone...but it's a nice break all the same. from walking. I should have bought McDonald's to eat along the way I'm starving.

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 196

Natsu uses the title 'Demon King/Maou', because it's a very staple fantasy trope that the big bad mastermind at the endgame is called a 'demon king'. (to contrast the holy knight/divine hero that the protagonist is) But in that case, the 'Demon King' (endgame villain) of Earthland would be Zeref!

And that's very ironic! The ultimate evil of both Earthland and Edolas are a Demon King Dragneel!

(Which leads me to wonder if the Zeref of Edolas is dead like Natsu would've been on earthland. It's possible, and unless Mashima retcons a new character into the Edolas world, we're never getting confirmation of what an EdoZeref would be like.)

Anyways, it's a fascinating parallel that in Edolas, they only know him as "Dragneel". While on Earthland, we've lived centuries only knowing him as "Zeref". They'll go down in stories of the next generation like that, and I find the contrast just so perfect.

More random mythological conspiracy rambling related to Germa. I can't stop having wild thoughts. This is related to the idea of "a single entity that is both good and evil in mythology".

Previously I had said that the Germa skull's eyes looks like the "two right curling tomoe" symbol. The tomoe is related to the magatama stones, where some people thought the magatama is meant to be a tomoe shape.

Aside from how its very shape kind of looks like a number "6", it also has connection to another "six", which is the Dairokuten Maou, a.k.a "Demon King of Sixth Heaven".

Dairokuten Maou is the demon king who is the enemy of Buddhism.

A variation of the legend of the Imperial Regalia of Japan says that the Yasakani no Magatama was given to Amaterasu the sun goddess by the demon king as a pact. Amaterasu promised the king that the Three Treasures of Buddhism (the Buddha, the Buddhist scriptures, and the Buddhist monks) will never come near her, and in return the king promised that he will protect the nation for as long as Amaterasu's descendants sit on the throne.

It's said that in order to keep that promise, in Amaterasu's main shrine, one cannot speak of anything related to Buddhism. Buddhist-related terms have to be said in code words and monks must not enter the shrine premises.

Probably it's not like this anymore now, but maybe this was at the time when the legend was being written down.

Because of this in Shinto or syncretic religions, the "demon king" is actually worshipped as some kind of "god" of wealth or prosperity. Aside from the pact with Amaterasu, the Dairokuten Maou is not some kind of scary destroying demon in the first place. He is evil because he tempts people with worldly goods (money, other riches, pleasure, etc), and so would cause people to fail their enlightenment in Buddhism.

For the kingdom that hired Germa, their help is a godsend. For the enemies, it's like the devil had come to destroy them. Both god and demon.

The point of this conspiracy is the sun goddess relation. In One Piece, Nika the sun god is something that's very important. So, what is hidden in Germa's ancient past? Before their destruction? Before World Government? Who knows.

What if there are more classical composers in Rhythm Heaven? If no one does it then I will take over... 😳 I will design more classical composers if they're in Rhythm Heaven in the future, I have a few in mind!

I've drawn 6 composers in this artwork! There is Dvorak, Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Liszt and Paganini. I was tempted to add Mozart, Chopin, Shostakovich, Schubert or Debussy but I can't add more characters in because my tablet will crash - My laptop is already lagging while trying to finish this. 💀 I think this broke the record of time taken I took for drawing - The longest one was the RhythMoid artwork (my very first post in tumblr)

Feel free to listen to me rambling on why I assign these composers in the artwork or just skip it, but I hope you like the artwork! 🏃‍♂️

Tbh I was going to color Paganini (the one with the violin) with Q Maou's color but it looks odd imo - However he has a connection with Q Maou since Paganini was called "The Devil's Violinist". People believed

Liszt (the one with angel wings) was meant to look similar to Lady Cupid since Liszt is a composer of the romantic period. One of his pieces, Liebestraum No.3, means Dream of Love. It is also based of a poem about unconditional love, perfect for Valentine's day!

Bach (person in pink clothes) is the father of music, he would be the father figure of the step switchers. He's able to change his colors to match with the other step switchers.

Beethoven (person in black clothes and white hair) would be a metal head if he's still alive today. His pieces are getting more intense when he starts to lose his hearing.

Tchaikovsky (bearded person in blue) composed a piece called 1812 Overture and he used cannons for that piece. Cannons are officially a musical instrument guys! /hj He also composed Swan Lake, which is why I put a swan on the back! Dvorak (bearded person in black and purple clothes) LOVES trains, he would wait for one to come just to watch them. I connected him with space because one of the astronauts who first landed on the moon played a recording of Dvorak’s New World Symphony as he stepped out onto the lunar surface. Dvorak himself hates being in open spaces.
