The Song 'Everybody's Waiting' is coming

Just before a big European tour, Joker Out will present a new track, undoubtedly one of their most magnificent songs to date - Everybody's Waiting. This is the band's first release after their temporary move from their native Ljubljana to London, where they were driven by the desire to create a new album. Everybody's Waiting focuses on personal thoughts and reflections that accompany many young people these days. The premiere of Joker Out's new single will take place on Friday, the 16th of February.

Joker Out on Anxiety

The song Everybody's Waiting grew out of Bojan's sudden bouts of anxiety on stage and in everyday life. In an increasingly fast-paced society driven by success and individualism, anxiety is now, unstoppably, on the rise, but it still seems to be somehow overlooked and ignored. A song can act as a valve that offers the listener the opportunity to recognise himself as the main protagonist of the story, recognise his own feelings and release the tension.

The song was written last summer, when the band was recording the song Sunny Side of London in the Beatracks studio in Kočevje. It was produced by their longtime producer Žarko Pak, the mix was created by Sebastian Krys, and the final sound was provided by Maor Appelbaum. In the music video, which will also be premiered on the 16th of February, we will be able to follow the story of the protagonist, who struggles with his inner battles in the comfort of his own house, while the band, almost like an apparition, pours out its soul through its instruments around him. The video highlights the deep introspective nature of the song, while hinting at the role of music and art in overcoming personal challenges. Bojan took care of the direction in tandem with the long-time collaborator of the band, Mark Pirc.

The 'See You Soon' Tour

The new single comes two weeks before the start of the big European tour 'See You Soon', which takes the band to as many as 13 countries, including France, Belgium and Italy for the first time. It promises 22 concerts at some of the world's most iconic venues, including the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. The dates of some festival concerts are also known, including EXIT (July 10-14, Novi Sad), Sziget (August 7-12, Budapest) and Sea Star (May 23-26, Umag).

At the end of last year, Joker Out also released the album and concert film 'Live From Arena Stožice', which was created at their revolutionary concert in Ljubljana's Arena Stožice, in front of 12,000 fans. The album can be found on all music streaming platforms and an exclusive concert film directed by Mark Pirc is available on demand on the band's website.

It was really exciting for us to revisit a more obscure part of the Voïvod catalogue, from thrash-punk to prog-metal to…? The title track is a new song, which we started writing in the tour bus and hotels during the Opeth European tour in November/December 2022. It has the vibe of the experimental music we are doing nowadays, with a new twist I think. We also had the great thrill of getting E-Force and Jasonic involved on this album. I hope you’ll dig it, Chewy, Rocky, Snake and I certainly had a blast recording it. All aboard and ready for take off!“

Overkill la leyenda del thrash metal regresa a la Argentina en el marco de su extenso tour “Scorching Latín América 2024”, en esta visita los liderados por Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth repasaran las históricas canciones de la agrupación y presentarán "Scorched" su más reciente último álbum de estudio. La cita es el 22 de abril en “El Teatro Flores”, Av. Rivadavia 7806, C.A.B.A. La banda invitada será Pucara.

Overkill, los oriundos de Old Bridge, Nueva Jersey, son una de las bandas más importantes del metal a nivel mundial, con ya 40 años de trayectoria y como siempre encabezados por el vocalista Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth y el bajista D.D.Verni, llegan a nuestro país con su tour “Scorching Latin America 2024” en el que presentan su último álbum de estudio “Scorched".

"Scorched" su nuevo álbum de estudio es catalogado por la prensa especializada como una obra maestra del thrash metal que demuestra que la banda sigue siendo un referente del género. Con potentes riffs de guitarra y la inimitable voz de Bobby Ellsworth, este álbum es una prueba más de que Overkill nunca defrauda a sus fans y que aún tienen mucho que ofrecerle al mundo de la música.

En este nuevo álbum de la banda todos los miembros pudieron grabar por su cuenta. La mezcla del disco estuvo a cargo de Colin Richardson y su ingeniero ayudante Chris Clancy. Johnny Rodd ayudó con la producción de las voces y, por último, Maor Appelbaum se encargó de la masterización y de añadir los toques finales. En esta ocasión la banda volvió a recurrir al artista Travis Smith para crear el arte de la portada del álbum.

Su historia comenzó en las profundidades del underground en la primera mitad de los años 80, a la par de otros monstruos como Metallica, Slayer y Exodus, que en ese entonces ya empezaban a forjar el estilo devastador del metal. Actualmente la banda es considerada una de las pioneras del thrash metal.

A lo largo de su trayectoria, han creado clásicos como "The Years of Decay" y "Horrorscope", consolidándose como una de las bandas más influyentes y respetadas del Thrash Mundial, han vendido más de 17 millones de discos en todo el mundo, siendo muchos de ellos incluidos en el Billboard 200.

Si hay que hoy en día es claro es que Overkill, ha dejado huella con su legado musical a lo largo de la historia en todo el mundo, siendo una de las bandas más influyentes dentro de su género.

Heavy Psych Sounds are on a roll with their Doom Sessions series, pairing together two of the most frighteningly heavy bands on earth for one hell of a hearty EP. 'Doom Sessions Vol. 3' (2020) follows right along the elephantine trail marked by the likes of Conan, Deadsmoke, Acid Mammoth, and 1782 to reveal a third pillar in the series. This one sees storied Los Angeles ruffians -(16)- collaborating with the fierce Italian group Grime.

“We are super excited to announce this split release with one of our favorite bands and tour mates, Italy’s Grime," -(16)- tell us. "These three new songs represent our continued musical growth with the addition of menacing melodic vocals, Hammond, and our self-imposed tradition of dark riffs and rhythms."

War Of Thrones kommt nach Europa

Dies ist die Geschichte einer großartigen und dennoch bisher weitgehend verborgen gebliebenen Perle, die sich nun, nach einem quasi Soft-Launch 2018, endlich einen Weg in das Bewusstsein des europäischen Publikums bahnt. Und trotzdem – oder wohl eher weil – wir hier über ein perfektes Classic Heavy-Metal-Album reden: Warum überhaupt die Dinge überstürzen? Als Top-Sänger Wade Black (CRIMSON GLORY, LEATHERWOLF, SEVEN WITCHES, The Grey OST) und Gitarren-Maestro Rick Renstrom (ROB ROCK, viele Gastauftritte und Auszeichnungen) ihre Kräfte Anfang 2011 zu WAR OF THRONES vereinten, entschieden sie sich gegen restriktive Kompromisse und für ein kleines Independentlabel.

Mit ihrer Freiheit konnten Wade, Rick, Richard (Marks, Bass; VIVALDI METAL PROJECT) und Patrick (Johansson, Drums; YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, G3) jede Art von Hektik, falschen Versprechungen oder unterdrückter Autorität hinter sich lassen und haben damit alle Vorkehrungen getroffen, damit ihr eigener Albumtitel “Conflict In Creation” nicht zur sich selbst erfüllenden Prophezeiung wird.

Was ist dann passiert? Nach sieben mit Schreiben, Erschaffen und Performen gefüllten Jahren haben sich WAR OF THRONES mit Produzent James Fox im Sweet Spot Studio in Florida im Zuge einer epischen Aufnahme-Session von 12 ultimativen Heavy-Metal-Attacken zusammengetan. Gemeinsam mit Mastering-Ikone Maor Appelbaum (HALFORD, ARMORED SAINT, FAITH NO MORE) brachten sie dann die sorgfältig eingespielten Tracks in Kalifornien schließlich in ihre heutige, Ohrgasmus-erzeugende Form.

2018 wurde das Album mit einem PR-Fokus auf die nordamerikanische Szene weltweit veröffentlicht, wo “Conflict In Creation” ordentlich an Zugkraft gewonnen und der Band einige berauschende Reviews beschert hat, während die meisten europäischen Metalheads in bedauerlicher Unwissenheit verbleiben mussten. Doch das ist jetzt vorbei: Ein Jahr später haben sich WAR OF THRONES von all den Investitionen erholt und etwas Munition beiseitegelegt, um diesen Missstand zu beseitigen – und das mit einem lauten und stolzen: “Hallo Europa – versteckt eure Throne, wir kommen mit voller Kraft!”

Während die Band weiterhin aktiv auf der Suche nach weiteren Möglichkeiten in diese Richtung ist, wurde eine erste Großattacke bereits kürzlich bestätigt: Am 15. August, um Punkt 18:00 CEST, werden WAR OF THRONES “Conflict In Creation” zum ersten Mal überhaupt mit einer epischen Euro-Show zelebrieren: beim SABATON OPEN AIR (14.–17. August in Falun, SWE). Seid bereit für eine Killer-Performance, die das ultimative Heavy-Metal-Album präsentiert, gemacht, um alle Zeiten zu überdauern!

Sabaton Announce Their New Studio Album ‘The Great War‘

Today, Swedish heavy metal heroes SABATON  reveal the title and artwork of their new studio album that will be released in summer 2019.
