Kim Jong-un plucks weeds, gets angry at Pyongyang amusement park

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has taken the rare step of criticizing a domestic institution. The target of his ire? A Pyongyang amusement park. During a visit to the Mangyongdae "Funfair," Kim took a moment to portray himself as a man of the people by expressing his disappointment at the park's state of disrepair, according to the Korean Central News Agency. "Seeing the weeds grown in between pavement blocks in the compound of the funfair, he, with an irritated look, plucked them up one by one," KCNA reports. "He said in an excited tone that he has never thought that the funfair is under such a bad state and a proverb that the darkest place is under the candlestick fits the funfair."
