👻Fujin x Reader: Halloween Special 2024👻
Tumblr media
🎃Happy Halloween! Here's some sweet stuff for y'all!🎃 ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Wind Lord had been sky running for quite a bit. Looking down, he searches through the area to find the correct neighborhood you resided in.
Everything looks different. It wasn't the first time he came to where all the mortals lived, and everything was just decorated with pumpkins and quite creepy factors.
It's always around this time of year. He wonders why.
Fujin has not seen you in a month, perhaps you can catch him up on this tradition of mortals. All while he does nearly anything with you: Watching a movie, helping you do your chores, cuddling, or if you just wanted to sit down and talk. Anything this man will do for you.
Spotting what's hopefully your house, Fujin flies down to the front door. He presses the doorbell once and waited.
Fujin couldn't help but glance at your lawn. You had carved pumpkins with quite... frightening looks. Also, your bushes had purple twinkling lights.
The front door opened, and there you were. Messy hair and in a robe.
"Fujin!" You smiled widely at the visitor. You step out and go to hug him, which he expects, squeezing you lovingly.
As you pulled back, you two briefly shared a kiss before you let him inside your house.
"I just got finished cleaning around. So we can watch something on TV." You pat his shoulder, walking to the couch with him.
"That would be delightful- what is that?" Fujin stops his steps and point at a prop mini skeleton with an afro wig.
"Oh, that's just Brook. I know you don't get the reference, but the kids will when I put him out there." You moved the skeleton off the couch so you and your boyfriend could sit together.
You used your remote to browse channels. Meanwhile, Fujin remembered what he wanted to ask. "It's the time of year mortals will start decorating their surroundings oddly. With the pumpkins and unsettling displays... Why?"
"Oh, Fujin." You coo. "It's almost Halloween. Every last day of October, at night specifically, kids will dress up as anything and go door to door for candy. But in general, Halloween is horror themed which is why you may see 'unsettling' things around."
"Ah." Fujin nodded once as you explained pretty much everything.
"I stopped trick or treating when I was thirteen since it would've been lame for a teen with no friends going around, asking for candy." You grumbled. "Anyways, want one?" You presented to him your candy bowl.
...
An old horror film was rolling for you two- more so just Fujin because he was the one watching as you were playing with his braid, holding it underneath your nose like you had a mustache.
His hair is fun.
A random question appeared in your mind that made you stop.
𝘏𝘢𝘴 𝘍𝘶𝘫𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘯?
There's a bag you haven't opened yet, maybe you can pour it all into a bowl and have it instead of the classic popcorn.
Fujin didn't even realize you got up, slowly clutching onto a pillow and hugging it as the black and white filtered lady was being covered by the silhouette of her possible killer.
The build up music was making the experience much more creepy for him as he squeezed the pillow tighter.
"Hey, Fujin! Wanna try-"
The god let out a gasp and flinched, looking back at you.
"Oh, sorry." You snickered. Your boyfriend is so dweebish sometimes. How is he real?
"It's okay, dear." He calms down slowly, clearing his throat and picks the pillow off the floor. "What was it you wanted to ask?"
"If you wanted some candy corn." You presented him the bowl. Fujin examines the small triangular bits.
He takes a piece of your offering and his face brightens a little before he takes the bowl gently from you.
You sit with him and watch the movie with him, touching his braid again. "Yeah, they're only good the first few times." You giggle.
"I like them." Fujin shrugs. Just wait until you offer some to him next time.
He sets the bowl aside, you take the chance to lay on him. A hand resting on his strong cheek, you turn back to your TV.
"You're going to come back here on the 31st and help me pass out candy to the children, okay?"
"Hm, if that's what you want." The man smiles. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

— Rock Angel
Bakugo x Rock Angel! Sasha-coded! Fem! Black! Reader
Synopsis: What it’s like to date Bakugo as a Bratz Rock Angel
TW: Swearing
Note: Click/Tap here for the full collab!
⇶ He’s your biggest fan, honestly
⇶ He’s a huge fan of the whole band, of course
⇶ But he’s your biggest fan
⇶ Katsuki loves to come to your shows, always backstage with you, helping you prep, amping you up, and of course, acting like your personal security
⇶ Doesn’t even let people get the chance to get near you whenever you’re walking into the venue, pushing people away from you and shouting for people to “get the hell out of the way!”
⇶ Absolutely no Twevils will be crashing your show on his watch! And if they get it, it’s by buying a ticket and supporting y’all!
⇶ Your actual security thinks it’s a bit much, but you’d be a liar if you said you didn’t like seeing your man go so hard for you!
⇶ When you’re in your dressing room, he’s always there with you
⇶ Helps you into your outfit if you need help, pick out accessories, pick makeup, etc
⇶ Never even lets you go out with a hair on your head that’s out of place
⇶ He’ll fix the ends of your braids/twists, make sure your wig is in place, fix your Afro shape, be sure that your retwist still looks fresh, ensure that your slick back is slick, and that your edges are laid. You will not be looking a mess as long as this man is around!
⇶ And obviously he’s gotta hype his girl up for the show!
“You’re gonna do fuckin’ awesome out there.”
“Obviously! I’ve been waiting all month to preform this song, and I produced it, so you know it’s gonna be rockin’!” You cheered.
Katsuki loved seeing you get excited before shows, your energy and enthusiasm was always on ten, but you clearly got a different type of rush from preforming.
“Obviously. Who’s the biggest fuckin’ rockstar in the world?” Katsuki grinned.
“Me!” You exclaimed, posing to punctuate your word.
“That’s my baby.”
⇶ When you get stressed out before a really big show and need some alone time, he still doesn’t leave you alone
⇶ It’s not to stress you out more, it’s just because he knows it’s not good for you to sit in your own anxieties just before a set
⇶ Getting mad at him is no use either, he just thinks you’re cute
“Katsuki, get out of my changing room, I am not playin’ with you!”
“And if I don’t?” He challenged, smirking at you.
Kissing your teeth, you picked up a magazine and chucked it in his direction. He dodged it with ease, and simply laughed in response.
“You’re cute when you’re mad, Bunny,” Katsuki teased.
“Boy, you better find you somethin’ safe to do–”
⇶ Usually sends Cloe or Yasmin in if he really can’t get through to you (which is a rare occurrence)
⇶ Once you get on stage, he sits on the sidelines just enjoying the music and looking at you the whole time
⇶ Between sets, he always tells all of you that you did good, and checks on you to make sure you’re not too tired and drinking water
⇶ He trusts Cloe, Jade, Yasmin, and Roxxi to do the same for you, of course, since they’re your closest friends, but he likes to do it himself most of the time
⇶ Always gives you a good luck kiss before you go back on
⇶ Katsuki is always helping you with producing, so much so that he’s sometimes listed as a producer on the bands songs
⇶ And if he’s not listed as a producer, you’ll likely find him credited as the drummer
⇶ Learns a little bass guitar to help even more
⇶ Lovesss that he’s always one of the first- if not the first- people out side of the band to hear your songs
⇶ Always provides a little bit of feedback, but other than that he thinks everything you do is perfect, and you can’t help but agree
⇶ Katsuki loves how confident and determined you are about yourself and everything you do. Seeing you be optimistic and outspoken all the time always makes him want to do better for himself
⇶ Even though you’re a bit more energetic and adventurous, you match his energy in terms of knowing who you are and ambition, and you complement each other well
⇶ You’re too good to him sometimes, honestly. Always giving him pick me ups whenever he’s upset or stressed, letting him vent. And you’re very protective of him when the tabloids or the Twevils get a bit passive aggressive towards him
⇶ You and Katsuki are THEE couple. Period.
⇶ You’re always seen out on cute dates or just wherever being cute
⇶ People always point out the lovesick looks you two give each other when you’re in one another’s presence
⇶ Fashion icons.
⇶ There’s not a single picture out there where either of you look bad
⇶ ESPECIALLY not one where you’re together
⇶ If you’re not matching, you’re color coordinated at least and wearing the same textures and fabrics
⇶ Katsuki is more than happy to fund your shopping addiction. He knows you’ll wear whatever it is that you’re eyeing in the store, and he knows you’ll wear it well
⇶ Though, it does baffle him a bit how someone can even spend so much money on clothes all the time
⇶ And don’t even get him started on when you go shopping with Cloe or Jade. You’ve all got shopping addictions, but they’re certified shopaholics, and you’ll buy more clothes than you’ll ever need after just a few hours at the mall with them
“Oh my gosh! Angel, Kool Kat, look at this Juicy Couture bag!”
“Gorg!” They gasped in unison.
“It’s so you Bunny Boo! Like, it was literally made for you, you have to get it!” Cloe urged.
Katsuki took the bag from you, digging around for a price tag before finding it in an inner pocket.
“Fuckin’ hell…” He cursed.
“You don’t have to pay for it if you don’t want to, Katsu. I can-” Just as you went to reach for your card, he stopped you mid sentence and grabbed your hand.
“Nah, I’ve got it.”
⇶ Naturally, you return the favor by smothering him with your irreplaceable love, kissing all over his face, leaving stains of brown lip liner and gloss while calling him your handsome man
⇶ Wears every mark like a badge of honor, and implores you to leave them right before you go out somewhere just so everyone knows he’s yours
⇶ Katsuki just loves his little Rock Angel 🫶🏾

| Found peace
Again sorry for my bad English, I’m French and still have a lot to learn. Anyway please do not translate or re upload this oneshot. Thank you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: Simon Riley x blackfem!reader
Author's note: just fluff and comfort from Simon. This one shot is inspired by one of the relationships I’ve been in so it’s kind of a way for me to try and get over it. There’s racism and a slight mention of physical abuse in here so, please be aware of it and don’t read this if it’s something that could trigger you.
Warnings: racism, mentions of a toxic and abusive relationship, lots of harsh words and hurtful terms, ends with fluff and comfort but the beginning can be triggering, tell me if I should add more warnings.
Tumblr media
Your last relationship had left you traumatized. The man you had been with had treated you like nothing but trash. Sometimes it felt like he didn’t even see you as a human being.
It was because of your skin color. Of course, you had to fall on a racist.
It seemed like being a plus-size and pansexual black woman wasn’t a constraining enough battle for you. On top of that, God had to put this man on your way.
This “relationship” lasted a week. A. Week.
But it was a week of pure mental torture and abuse.
Somehow, he had to remind you of the color of your skin at every moment. In case you forgot, you know.
You did the dishes for him out of kindness? You received a “thanks n*gga.”.
You had your bonnet or wig on? He pulled it right off your head without caring if it hurt you and made fun of your real hair.
He saw a monkey on a TV documentary or an another black person out of the house? He immediately pulled out the “Hey, look ! It’s one of your brothers.” cards.
You were out with his friends? He had to make racist jokes and accents to put you down in front of them.
He got an STD out of nowhere? You obviously gave it to him because you’re black. You don’t have anything after examination? Well…It doesn’t change anything because every black person in the world has AIDS. Its well known.
He’s been having more pimples and breakouts since you two got together? It’s definitely because of you, since you know… You’re black.
You said something he didn’t like or complained about his behavior? He slapped you. No, but really who do you think you are? You’re lucky he’s dating you in the first place. That’s right, he’s doing you a favor and sacrificing himself. Who would want to have a black girlfriend like you?
Yeah. It was one of the hardest week of your life. You never felt so little and unworthy of anything in front of someone.
After that, you decided to just stay single and never try having something serious with another man. You were nowhere near being healed enough to get in a new relationship anyway.
It had been an entire year before you met the one. And if someone had told you that you would have settled down with a white man again before you met him, you would have burst into laughter.
But here you are now in a happy and healthy relationship with Simon.
Of course, he’s not perfect and he has his own issues. But he never puts you down. Never.
Not even when he’s angry or frustrated. Not even when you’re having a big argument. Not even when you’re straight up mean to him. Never.
He loves everything about you. Your natural hair, your tanned skin tone, your wide hips and big thighs, the way your accent get more pronounced every time you speak with your family or with someone from your country. You’re just a goddess in his eyes.
After being with him just during a few months, he had helped you gain so much more confidence back that you could proudly wear your natural hair outside.
Your long and full afro is now freely bouncing up and down or side to side slightly as you walk through the mall with him by your side to do some shopping.
Of course people were staring and giving you weird looks, but no one commented on it and honestly, you couldn’t care less.
But unfortunately, after years of living peacefully, you finally had your first racist encounter in a while.
Too bad for the woman, your fiancé was not having any of it.
“My gosh, your hair looks so…”
A white woman says while touching your hair without your consent, a weirded out expression on her face as she messes your afro up.
“Uh, don’t touch my hair without my permission please, ma’am. It’s not correct.”
You instinctively take a few steps back to get your hair away from her hands.
“Oh come on, it’s just hair. Do I need permission to touch your shoulders too? I don’t think so.”
And as she says that, she tries to reach for your hair again. But this time, Simon steps in and grabs her wrist before yanking her hand away from you.
“You don’t get to touch my wife’s hair without her permission. She said no, so back off.”
The woman scoffs and grabs her wrist to hold it against her chest, her eyes wide with shock.
“How rude of you. I was just trying to appreciate her African culture. How dare you touch me like that?!”
She starts to talk loudly, the attention of the others customers turning on the three of you.
You start to feel uncomfortable with all these eyes on you, so you gently tap Simon’s arm to signal to him that it’s okay and you two can just go into another shop.
“What? No, we’re not leaving. You said you wanted to try dresses here. We’re staying.”
He then turns to the woman again to answer her.
“How do I dare to touch you? You can touch my wife, but I can’t touch you?”
He laughs before tilting his head to the side, looking straight at her soul through her eyes.
“Why do you feel so entitled with her? Is it because she’s black?”
He keeps his voice loud and clear on purpose so the other customers can hear.
The woman’s cheeks and face get red as she starts fuming. With anger or shame, you couldn’t figure out.
“What?! Are you calling me a racist? I’ll have you know that my son’s best friend is black, and I don’t have any problem with him being around my house ! I even traveled to Africa once when I was young.”
You can’t help but chuckle at that, turning your head to the side so she wouldn’t see your smile.
“What are you laughing about, you…”
She cuts herself off before she can continue, clearing her throat and looking around her while being embarrassed. She was probably going to insult your skin color or call you a monkey.
“Please, finish your sentence, miss. We’re all listening.”
Simon says, his arms crossed over his chest as he patiently waits for her to continue.
She lets out a frustrated groan after seeing some teenagers were recording, turning on her heels and letting out some muffled curses as she gets out of the store.
You let out a sigh of relief as she stomps out, grateful that things didn’t go south. Simon stares at her back as she leaves before turning to face you, rearranging the hair she messed gently.
“I’ll wash your hair for you when we get home. We don’t know if her hands were as filthy as her personality.”
He jokes, and you laugh, leaning into him to get a hug.
“Yeah. Thank you…”
He smiles and hugs you back, softly stroking your back as the people around you get their attention back on what they were doing slowly.
“No need to thank me. I’m here for that, lovely. I’ll always defend you no matter what.”
And you know he means it. That’s one of the reasons you love him so much.
He presses his lips against yours for a sweet kiss, and you smile into it, feeling like you aren’t alone against all of this anymore.
You got home and followed him in the bathroom straight after putting your things away and having a snack so he could wash your hair. And he did it perfectly, even using conditioner and blow drying your hair.
“How do you know you need to do that?”
You asked at some point, looking at his reflection in the mirror, as he was now putting oil in your hair to hydrate them.
“I watched videos on YouTube.”
And just with that, you completely melted. He went out of his way and learned how to care for your hair… If that’s not husband material, you don’t know what is.
And you got surprised again as you got out of the bathroom and saw a hairstylist installing everything she needed to braid your hair in the living room, looking over at him with wide eyes.
“What? You’ve been telling me you wanted to get braids for your friend’s wedding.”
You smiled as you saw the little blush on his cheeks while he shrugs like it’s nothing, getting on your toes to give him kisses.
“Thank you baby.”
Oh, he was so getting lucky tonight.

poly!bats boys x plus sized black reader headcanons?
Omg I completely ignored the poly part my bad I’ll do another one but for now here’s this
THIS HAS NOT BEEN EDITED AT ALL SO IF ITS BAD DONT JUDGE
Azriel
He worships you body in the bedroom
He knows how it feels to be insecure (via his hands)
So he always make sure to remind you your beautiful.
Fucks you when ever you get a new hairstyle
If you ever worked for the night Court you would be a perfect spy bc ur change ur wigs all the time.
When you wore your Afro out one day in the city the kids came rushing out to greet you and they put a whole bunch of flowers in ur hair
He he didn’t think it was possible to fall even more in love with you in that moment but he did. He loved seeing you with kids
Punched a dude in the face for making fun of ur weight.
He thinks ur hair is really cute
Would try to use ur hair and ur ass as a pillow.
Always touching ur belly and kissing ur arms/shoulders.
{dam bitch why I’m blushing}
Goes feral when u wear skin tight dresses and that one color that looks good on ur skin tone.
Kisses you stomach when he’s going down on u.
When u fall asleep he’ll put on ur bonnet for u and kiss ur forehead.
You’ll be at the dinner table with everyone and he’ll be kissing ur wrist and kissing up ur arm like chill bruh it’s not that serious
He’ll learn how to do ur twist outs and will make sure u never run out of hair grease.
Don’t make jokes about ur weight or skin color in front of him. He will fuck you in front of the mirror/ window just to show u and everyone else just how pretty you look when your cumming on his dick.
Ur sitting in his lap ALL of the time
Seriously
When even u joined the high lord meetings with az rhysand wouldn’t even give u a chair bc he knew Azriel would just pull u into his lap and you would both just sit there
U thought he was lying when he said he would fuck you in front of everyone if you kept making jokes about yourself?
The next meeting he had he had you facing everyone while fucking the shit out of you while his shadows covered the both of you so no one would see.
Sadly the shadows couldn’t hide your moans so u had to keep quiet.
Rhysand chewed him out for it but he also told az he would of done the same thing (they both nasty like that ew)
Cassian
He’s a big man so of course he likes everything big.
No offense to nesta but I don’t think it’s really realistic for cassian to be with a skinny girl 😔
Big beefy men usually go for big girls idk why ask your baldheaded mother.
He would only wanna see u in skintight dresses. (Or naked but that’s another story.)
He would HAVE TO learn how to do ur hair
Territorial asf
One time u had a male hair braider and he almost went crazy
You smacked him and kicked him out
After that he made sure to learn how natural hair works bc there was no way he was gonna let anyone else touch you.
It was kinda romantic teaching him and watching him learn about your hair.
He’ll do ur cornrows and then fuck u.
I feel like he would be more intimate when it comes to doing ur hair.
Like he would light candles and wash ur body in the bathtub and then wash ur hair.
After he’s done he would lay u on the bed and oil and lotion ur whole body down. And put u in one of his shirts
He would have u sit in his chair at his desk, section your hair and twist it up
You’d be so relaxed at that point and turned on.
9/10 im slow fucking him after that ngl.
Nice sleepy cuddle-fucking? Yes sir yes sir.
Rhysand
He tried to learn how to do ur hair but he was so busy and was always tired after his long work days.
But there was no way in hell he was having his high lady looking like shit
So he made a plan and got together the best stylists and braiders in the game for his wife ❤️🤞🏾
He would definitely have u living that pampered wife lifestyle
Im not really into the soft life shit but he would definitely have u living the soft life
Always buying expensive hair jewelry and headbands.
He got u a wet brush with a fat diamond in the center.
All ur hair products would match bc he likes organization.
Would probably have a whole separate room dedicated to ur hair and jewelry.
I’m kinda mad at rhysand rn so no more for him.

novi stars una verse redesign! (plus what if goregous bjd-esque dolls) I did actually share this at one point cause i needed help deciding the skirt color (shout out to @/the-anxious-axolotl for the advice that decided what I went with :3) anyway! I wanted to really go with the 'diva' theme plus make her more alien, I decided that all the additional little moon like gemstones are extra eyes fndkja. and I think she'd have those like: shiny tinsel strands in her hair. and I also think her hair would be rooted and not a wig: but it could work either way. anyway: her skirts a super sparkly tule material and the beads are permantly attached to the skirt and shirt. the earings i think are glued on too but the headband tiara thing would be removable. also her skin would be like, dusted with sparkly white freckles <3
Tumblr media
ari roma novi stars redesign: tbh I have mixed feelings on how this one came out. I iike a lot of the concepts but something bout it looks... messy? unfinished? I think it justs needs a little polish and maybe I'll do that at some point. anyway, I really wanted to keep her original hair (they're called afro puffs I think??) and the one super long strand. I thought it'd be fun if they were all decked out with hair clips and bows and a decora amount of accesories lmao.
Tumblr media
one last novi stars thing! the base for all the bases!

I call it 'kowai kawaii' and it's about weeb supernatural creatures being silly. the main trio is Maybelle the ghost, Luella the vampire, and Okami the werewolf. Maybelle leans into the dark comedy side, she died at a young age and is very much like, a fucked up little ghost child. shes very cruel and enjoys others suffering. actually shes a little bit like jax from tadc lmao. Luella is super energetic and happy go lucky. she also writes fanfic. Okami is an amnesiac and a cosplyer as a play on the phrase 'wolf in sheeps clothing'

I've donated my natural hair to Black Indigenous People who are battling cancer. I myself have survived two counts of oral cancer and I found out about the program 7 years ago and why it's so important to help men and boys who are dealing with this dreadful disease. Today I was asked by a little kid about why I need to wear a wig and I am a man?
His curiosity changed into amazement when I asked his beautiful Black Mother if he could feel my hair so he could see that it's really my own. I told him that I am 65 years old and he wants me to donate my hair to his 40 something father.
His mother was very polite and respectful towards me and I think she was surprised about her child questioning me, but I don't mind because it's all for a great cause of helping our Black Indigenous Families.

my friend who’s in Spain rn went to carnival and apparently 100s of people are wearing afro wigs ( ikr 🙃) but that’s not even the worst part… apparently while she was fixing her own hair, mind you, was in a ACTUAL afro, while on ft with her friends. There was some funky ass man came in with his own ugly ass wig and tried to say “look, look, look, same same same” LIKE BITCH GET YOUR FUNKY ASS GRIMY ASS WIG AWAY FROM HER.
Like that is very nasty and grimy of him like… and this the reason I don’t travel cause imma get deported and banned.

since this topic is making the rounds of controversy AGAIN I will confess something: i genuinely don't get how gamzee or damara are offensive, even though i am what the nu fandom would call a "poc" (hate that term, sounds stupid). i find damara relatable and hilarious as fuck even, and i love her design, she is obviously based on azula to accompany rufioh's dante basco reference; but suddenly my opinion and life experiences don't count or deserve to be heard because i don't agree with these americans with "white savior complex" as they call it? so hypocritical. and honestly i find all this "coding" shit people associate with gamzee despite him being based on fucking clown rappers to be the real racism. what, are people gonna tell me irl clowns are offensive too because they use poofy wigs and face paint? lets boycott ronald mcdonald too then, or ship him with gamzee, both work. #fuckclowns #clussy #gamzeexronaldmcdonaldSWEEP #shitsbetterthandavekatanyways
idk im just tired and i cant believe people are still fighting about this shit, if anything wouldn't that just prove that fandom activism amounts to nothing on the long run except alienation, sucking the joy out of everything and making people uncomfortable to create content for these characters and thus, ironically, giving minorities less representation? it's the circle of stupidity man
I don't think Damara is based on Azula. But more of people finding Aradia dressing in Asian attire like kimonos or cheongsam beautiful and would headcanon her to be Asian. Even if her first name is based on an work that are pagan text in found Italy and the last name based on a location in Israel that the Bible prophesizes that it will be the final battlefield for end times, people think Aradia as Asian was better. Anime on the rise probably added fuel to this. Nobody gave a shit about an Asian lady being a lower class because of the hemospectrum lowblood implications. And even if it did, people think it would be about her overcoming her high class rich oppressor. But then, people would be too focused on Condesce being black because of her being technically Meenah, showing that it was a BLACK WOMAN who started the oppression in the first place. No one gets mad that a black woman was trying to beat and kill an Asian woman. Asian people today in this modern era, may as well be white. And I'm Filipino, who may as well be leaned to white if don't agree with my white LGBT saviors. People being upset about Gamzee being black just because of his crazy messy hair style, people assume it was an AFRO. And I mean afro afro ROUND afro. Tell me, how is a messy unkempt hair style equal AFRO SO HE IS BLACK.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They might as well say bedhead hairstyles mean it is only for black people. While they forget black people aren't the only ones with afros. Do people accuse Bob Ross as black appropriation because he as an afro? NO! There are people, regardless of skin color, that have different hairstyles! Whether they are American, Mexican, etc!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't mind Damara being some Asian stereotype. In fact, as a Filipino, I find it funny! My parents would joke themselves of eating dogs and it is still funny to them! Her being a bitchy slutty Asian girl is fine! Isn't her role of working for the bigger bad cool enough or complex that she would go through this lengths to get back at her bully interesting? I guess not to others. Sometimes people who have been depicted as Asian with some joke or vague stereotype attached them, approved of being shown like this! Remember that Asian guy in Courage the Cowardly Dog that says "WATCH WHERE YOU GOIN' YA FOOL!" The creator based it on a RL friend he knew. And that Real Life friend gave his OWN VOICE for it too that we hear today. He didn't mind and actually approves of this character! He would later to go on to voice him in episodes that star him too! And there are people like dumb YouTubers who talk about cartoons, think it is racist, when it is NOT! It's like they assume Trey Parker and Matt Stone pointed a gun at Isaac Hayes to let his voice stay for black racist jokes, when it's not the case and he know what he was going into and didn't mind it! Him drawing the line at mocking Sciencetology is not the same as him thinking he hated all the black jokes he had to deal with in South Park. Can we just go back to letting people headcanon a character whatever they want? If someone wants to blackwash Tom from Eddsworld despite the character being a white British man? Fine. If people wanted to draw the Homestuck kids as anime characters with light skin? It's fine too. Let people do whatever the fuck they want. If someone wants to draw the characters as they appeared in the series, it's fine too! Nobody is racist or homophobic or anything for liking a character a different way! I don't need some bitch with multiple pronouns and LGBT flag emojis on their profile to tell me that my Asian depictions in Hollywood and TV shows are bad or limited. I find more representation in ANIME than there. And if they say "THERE ARE NO PINOYS OR PHILIPPINE CHARACTERS IN HOLLYWOOD OR MAINSTREAM MEDIA!" All I got to say is, I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! I just want to see if my anime, manga, video game, TV show, comic, movie, etc is enjoyable and has cool characters. I don't care about the skin or ethnicity. I want to see them go through cool shit! And when there is a rare moment of one making a decent series, nobody props them up for their originality. They rather care about a raceswapped modern updated version of Superman than something actually new! I don't see people praising Trese as a step for Philippines in comic industry after it got a Netflix Adaption. Raya and the Last Dragon was the better one because of the vague Southeast Asian Disney princess compared to a badass woman killing monsters!
Modern fandom culture is a poison and I desperately want it gone. But it's gonna be years before that will happen. It started to seep in 2014-16 and doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon in the 2020s.

Drop the Bit Ep.1 Part.1 Thoughts
Super Bee said he wants to see the average citizen. He hopes to see a Homies 2.0. I hope he means in context of artists that TRULY started from the bottom and not music or style wise.
Uneducated Kid: Whether you're good at rap today or not, I'll pick a pretty girl. The host says auditions are blind so Unedu said he'll just pick them if he thinks the silhouette looks like a woman. If it's a man he'll fail them.
King of supporting female rappers LOL
They had Super Bee go first. They had Unedu and Homies pretend like they didn't know it was him but obviously he left the judging area so who ELSE WOULD IT BE?!?!?!?!? LOL
So Super Bee starts angrily joking about how he only got a 4 pass (cause he's the 5th judge so he couldn't hit the button from on stage). Homies say that he wasn't good enough for the all pass and keeps making excuses. Super Bee says "I didn't like "Generation" (Homies' newest song at the time this was recorded), you couldn't surpass "Siren"" so CK(?) says "You couldn't surpass "Shark in a Cold Pool"...damn that was cold LOL
Someone rapping on 2PM's "Again and Again" instrumental. He's a bit rough but he's 14 and unknown so I'm not too shocked. Even Unedu said the beat choice was the main reason he passed and next time he needs to polish it up and bit more. I agree but again this contestant is super young. His name was Big Wave.
Random thought: Seeing teenage rappers always makes me think about Dickids and how remarkable they were. How the HELL were they that talented that young? OMG.
Roona & Sahmin passed....the bar is low. they're just loud and obnoxious (YNR loves anybody with these two qualities. It's like a requirement to join at least until Khan came) and one of the members (Roona) has an afro. I wonder if it's his real hair with a perm or if it's a wig.
They eliminated a bunch of good rappers and I know it's because they weren't ratchet, loud, and obnoxious enough. One was Yonghwan from Navyl1ne if you remember their killing verse with Rebel Jams from a few months ago.
This rapper is talented as well. They are called iceboy. His delivery and his instrumental choice was really good. Apparently he was on HSR season 1 (I don't remember him that was WAY too far back) ad there was some issues. He was one of the contestants who got exposed for things in their personal lives.
Minseok from Rebel Jams was eliminated as well.
LOL I just immediately recognized Khan even if he's blurred out. His voice is so recognizable once you know it. After I typed this, one of the captions on the show introduced Khan as an NFL member. He was already in that crew at the time (I thought Khan, Oxy, and Chillin Homie only met DURING this show and then they joined NFL but it seems like that's not the case?) So that means people potentially already knew of him. If that's the case then this was juts barely a bling audition.
They thought Khan's voice isn't loud enough but it's literally just his signature sound LOL and they signed him with that same sound so *shrugs*
I also immediately recognized Oxynova's voice. It's the style and the English tbh
Multiple people make lyrical mistakes and get eliminated.
I'm gonna stop right here for tonight. I guess this will be part 1 but I'll pick back up for the other half when I get a chance.
Show stopped at 17:05

Were they once of a more East African appearance? When Queen Hatshepsut traveled to the land of Punt (pinpointed by modern historians to the Somalia - Ethiopia area), she referred to the place as ancestral.
The ancient Egyptian word for Punt Ta netjer (tꜣ nṯr), meaning "God's Land". ... Even old school renowned British Egyptologist, Sir Flinders Petrie, used a east African man to compare to pharaohs of the 12th dynasty in the 1930s book "Making of Egypt". Old pictures of Bishari/Beja people of Southern Egypt and North Sudan show a similar appearance and cultural continuity

In a 90s or early 2000s documentary with "The mummy detective", she showed that one face was certainly more black by the skull measurements, and stated this is common in ancient Egypt
In the bottom 4 pictures we see an old published photo of Thutmose the first, Hatshepsut's father, with hair ( Flinders Petrie 1896 and John Ward 1902), but is now completely bald. The old photo of the two men are probably East or Central African (?...both areas have a source to the Nile after the Blue and White Nile split off) ). The young guys in the top old photo are of Bayuda desert in Sudan compared to Thutmose II (son of Thutmose the first)

The White Nile is a river in Africa, one of the two main tributaries of the Nile, the other being the Blue Nile.  Could this stylized statue of Thutmose the first actually represent the black types of this area.

Another "black" man from the same area... different appearance. Notice in these post, people from the area are used as comparisons for the most part, because if any were "black", the ones that live there now would obviously be the most immediate and direct descendants
The "blacks" in this region seemed to have inherited certain traits that one wouldn't commomly find on a West or central African. Similar scenarios are obvious in ancient times with the same admix between different "racial" types in the area. This is probably what we're seeing on some statues with narrow features

Now we have to wonder how may bald mummies once had hair after seeing Thutmose the first. Was it a systematic effort way back then to hide it. CHAPTER 6.2: THE FITTING
Tumblr media
Osprey smacked his thighs and heaved himself out of his low, puce chair and set to work. He whirled around the dimly lit dressing room in a graceful lope. He rummaged between racks of couture clothing as he called to Maxim over his shoulder.
“I don’t understand how you and yours got out the game. Iwas told that was impossible...”
“Bit of good luck.” Maxim responded.
“Sure, that’s what we’ll call it.” Osprey quipped. “Try this on.”
Maxim stepped through a pair of slate gray pants and Osprey held open the arms of the matching sports coat. He slid his arms through, and the silk fabric was cool against his warm skin.
“That shower got you right?” Osprey smirked.
“Man, the last time I showered I found a magic mic in there with me.”
Maxim fasted the first matte black button and let his arms fall to his sides. He turned and squatted; brought his knees up to his chest and jumped into the air. His form fitting pants dusted the tops of his feet as he stood on the tips of his toes.
“Dope.” Maxim sighed.
“Yeah? The suit is made with a copper-Kevlar hybrid polymer which helps with gunfire and cameras. Bulletproof, hyperreflective, and Abnormal repellent. Damn, I’m good at my job!” Osprey celebrated. “Now for your hair.”
He pulled Maxim’s locs into a high ponytail and inserted hairpins. He slid a stocking cap over his hair and placed a tight lace front wig on top of his head. He groaned as the billowing tufts of afro fell in his eyes.
“I look like an extra in ‘Hair.’”
“I’m trying to conceal seven-year-old locs under a bald cap, Falcon. I’m doing the best I can.” Osprey shot at him
“I mean, you said you were the best...” Maxim teased.
“I said I was good at my job. Don’t cut up in here.”
Osprey snatched the wig off his head and disappeared into his hair closet. He emerged moments later with a brown leather box and placed it in Maxim’s hands. Maxim lifted the lid.
“This was a gift from an immensely powerful witch whose family runs a mythic animal rescue in North Morgan. He and his pops wear these to care for the more violent creatures. It allows the wearer to alter their appearance for as long as the hat is on.” explained Osprey.
“Shit. I heard these were in a myth!” Maxim squealed. “How did you get this?”
“I styled the prodigal son for a commercial. This is how the St. James family shows their gratitude. It’s a high honor.” Osprey continued. “Legend has it the Sky Godhead fashioned these from the midday sky to conceal cowhands from enemies.”
“I can’t take this. It’s too much.” said Maxim.
“Nonsense. I tricked it out.” Osprey ruminated. “The original Sky Stetsons are used for farmwork, but this one adapted to my needs when it changed hands and now you can be anyone—human or abnormal.”
“I love this life.”
Maxim mused. He ran his fingers over the Sky Stetson and its sky-blue fabric danced with fluffy drifting clouds. He positioned the hat on his head and thought of a particular ex-boyfriend. Maxim’s face blurred until a new man stood in the trifold mirror. He was noticeably shorter with a bald head and tan, freckled skin.”
“That’s fuckin’ devious, Osprey!” Maxim squealed. “Oh, my husband would absolutely kill me.”
“Yeah, you’re a fucking heartthrob, man.” Osprey said. “Anything else?”
“Nah, you made my day, man. It’s so good to see you again.” Maxim said.
“You too, brother. Say, bright passage through them dark streets.” Osprey smiled.

African Americans are known to wear these hairstyles for a long time. These pictures are from the 1970s. Not much "We Wuz Kangs" humor back then… or even a common awareness of Nubia's location, and Egypt being in Africa. Even though there's no connection between Nubia and West and Central Africa (place African Americans descend from), these hairstyles seem to be innate and continuous in folk of a " black" persuasion worldwide.https://www.tumblr.com/afam24/752278658120548352/african-americans-are-known-to-wear-these?source=share

Reminds me of Thutmoses I ( back) , Hatshepsut ( middle), and Thutmoses II and/or IV ( forefront). These are youth from the Aswan area…I believe from 1950s or 1960s.

Thutmose the first had hair that looks wool, but is now bald, His son Thutmose the second hair remains, and is loosely curled or wavey. Thutmose the third is bald, Thutmose the fourth hair remains and is straight

Badasss
I will say that I enjoyed this movie more than the movie that it was about. Badass was a movie by Mario Van Peebles about his dad during the making of his fathers Sweet Sweetback’s Baadasss Song, another film we watched in class. It was a man raised in a brothel. He grew up and harmed two police men to protect the innocent man they were beating. He went on the run and escaped the police who then pursued him.
I have always enjoyed movies about behind the scenes of movies and this one was no exception. I find it so fascinating to see the processes of what it takes to make a movie then to also think that that was happening for that very movie I was watching. It was also interesting that Mario was playing his father and what it must've been like to relive that time in a different position. He depicted his father as not very loving and tender, the way you should see a dad, but as intensely passionate with tunnel vision. His sights were locked on making this movie as quickly and as cheaply as possible.  This included having his own children play roles in the movie. Which is how Mario came to be the boy being intimate with the older woman in the opening scene. This does not bother me, if you'd be willing to have a child play such a vulnerable role, you’d better be willing to have it be your own child. This part did not stick out to me as much as when he was going to make his son cut off his afro. He was devastated by the idea alone and I would be too. He was firm in his choice, he wanted to save money by not having a wig made. Eventually, he did cave and had the wig made but he let his son believe that he would have to lose his beautiful hair. This was not the only thing that Van Peebles was so intense about. He allowed his health to deteriorate and Mario watched it happen. I find it amazing that Mario could not just acknowledge his father’s frightening behavior but make a whole movie about it. I feel like if I were him I would find that time to be traumatizing and maybe he did too. It must have been hard to be either ignored by your father or when he pays attention to you he's aggressively demanding. I will say that that is not all he was, there were some points where he was soft with him but he was hard more often than not. It made me think of my relationship with my own father. My father was also very stern when I was about that age, in my early teens. I had a hard feeling for him for a long time until I realized it was all for me. I feel like Mario’s position is different from my own. His father did it for his film, almost hurting his son and himself for the film. It felt sacrificial. It seemed that their relationship stayed strong because his father helped with his film and was seen in the end.

this cap gave me confidence

why?
because I’m black.
years of empowerment.
i live this lonely life
sad and low eyes

a part of me won’t wake up
would I be so low to shoot you in the back
like u wasn’t looking
you’d see my gut explode from the tension of holding back       tears
time has it’s way of forgetting
holding back inaudible words,
language, lyric and harm
as prickled eyes hold in
would you be the first to break my heart
Thursday 20th April 2023
Left the care home unprepared.
Firstly, socks, bare foot @ my mother’s house.
An Afro wig, thinking of my braids.
Glass cup, green tea.

Should i be mellow
Should i be chill
Should I admit that I’m hollow
Waiting to be filled with love
I be, I be, I believed in to tomorrow
I never saw the sun come up
6
I can’t be myself
I don’t like myself

Should I give up
I have to be myself
I have to think for myself

I’m rising, I’m rising
I’m rising
Im torn at night
Faint in day
and I’m rising
See nothing but black

Im all hours of the seconds away
And awake

u gotta little patch on your light
anatomy shedding pieces
not quite as gone as
A sane world
Outside
Of me
Insane
I don’t smile,
It’s been a long time since genuine
but it’s ‘m light
jungle rain
maybe bedhead mess and wisps of fake bountiful hair all over the floor, my blue jungle paint placed in the second I woke up
without a man
a woman, not a girl.
19
4 you
Our days are over
Left on hold
Knowingly covered
The whispers. I heard
Old rasp voice love
My heart sank into a tumour
As land fit the river
So I rang
Lemon haze
20
Why not chalk all over the floor?
Why does graffiti have to be on brick walls?
Why can we not walk on the sky?
Why can’t I walk on water
If Jesus walked on water then why can’t I?
Why is the window not the front door?
Why can’t I lie on my ceiling?
Why can’t I grow wings
and fly Paris free of charge in the evenings?
These questions I want to ask
Good, most powerful, most high God.
 21
says
the butterfly
I want to be a bird
I can’t see
The butterfly can’t see
Flies
Hong Kong’s busy streets
Amidst the noise of the city
Beauty was sweet
When all I have to do is eat
I can’t see
But feel the energy
Of Hong Kong’s busy streets
22
when the argument started
Fire crackled
When the argument started
Fire sprung
Sparks made up for this argument
The ash and light, soft and spark
Joined air’s tone
whistling together “home”
23
Taking nudes
The smallest bathroom
With a broken mirror
In a screen
That seemed clearer
Never seen, me from this angle
Never captured who it was for
Never seen me naked,
Small chest, big eyed whore,
Skinny legs
A body no one ever sought,
Behind the internet,
Could he even see it was me
I hid my face
Wrapped my arms around my breasts
Like a haiku, or a Shakespearean soliloquy
Spoke to me
Goodbye lady
Hello dumb and free
24
I wake up tomorrow morning
Belly flat
Belly finally flat
Fat ass
And a straight back
from a hunchback
25
Drowning
Ain’t no mystery
But I’m foreign to his tongue
The way he wears his slang
When he approached my realm
I should’ve ran
When he became my four walls
With no door
On my back
There was only the floor
Lips bruised
From kissing wild
Breath broke
Legs shake
Hands taunt
Moan, moan
Taste
Run, run
Run away and don’t come back.
