Tumblr media
When I first started rping on tumblr about a decade ago (give or take a year cyz im too lazy to check when it was again)
I hit 300 followers really quickly.
I was one of the first Maleficents and everyone wanted to rp with her because hey she’s a villain.
After I hit 300, within about a month or two of getting her blog if I remember the timeline right, I decided to move her from a sideblog (which she had been, attached to my personal blog) and make her a mainblog. I remember losing a ton of my followers for whatever reasons they had at the time.
But I considered it a worthy sacrifice. I was sending asks as Maleficent now instead of as me, Mally-mun as I was called back then (and still am called by one group of people I also got to know back then that weren’t RP related)
(the Rumbellers of a decade ago)
It was a great time
I had just started college (ah, so it was nine years ago then, I was 18 and now I distinctly remember worrying that people wouldn’t believe me when I said I was 18 so for my age I had just written 18+ I think is what I did. I did the same when I reached 21, I only started putting my exact age on my mun pages when I was 23)
Everything was crazy back then. All of you young’ins weren’t there for the dashboard arrow memes, declaring one or more blogs were some seemingly random thing. You weren’t there for a lot of stuff that I remember fondly with rose colored glasses but am now old enough to see that some of it was at least a little bit cringey
You weren’t around for how we molded the rp community back then, though you do see some of the remnants of it. Now you’re the ones molding the rp community, good job btw.
I’ve gone through a lot of rp blogs since I first started. I was stubborn and refused to rp more than one fandom at a time. Sometimes I had a dual muse blog. Almost all of those muses I once played are on this blog now. Almost. I never did get back to the Spirited Away fandom (I was a Kaonashi at one point, for a group). And I’ve since reworked my KH muses besides Maleficent, to the point that they aren’t recognizable anymore as their older selves. I once had a OUAT Maleficent for a pokemon AU group (Maleficent and Missy the Misdreavous). I can’t fully remember my muse for a Persona based group, I want to say I took a canon muse and reworked him as an AU version then threw him in persona, I want to say it was Chase Young but I dont remember tbh--IT WAS KEN! It was a Persona AU Ken Ichijouji right, pretty sure I deleted that one
SO! What! Is! The! Point! Of all this rambling of mine when the Header was about 300 followers?
Well you see, when I reached 300 again on Maleficent after making her a main blog (url: ManipulativeInstincts [version1, i rebooted the url some time later]), the next time I managed to hit 300 was when I was playing as Chase Young and Kimiko Tohomiko (url: KimikoAndChase [rebooted to JianhurenHeylin with just Chase some time later]), then after that the next time I hit 300 was as Goro Akechi (url: JvstAPvppet [never rebooted])
And now
Now I’ve reached 300 followers again, after a year and a half (4 months?) on my Multimuse where I get to play all my lovely muses with all you lovely people!
And I just think that’s really neat! Especially since for this blog I decided on a policy to never follow first unless the blog I was following was just another blog under a mun I already knew.
It’s just amazing how far I’ve come since 9 years ago.

Turkey 1-2 Russia: Artem Dzyuba scores winner in Nations League
Artem Dzyuba continued his fine international form as he scored the winner for Russia in their Nations League opener against Turkey.
The World Cup quarter-finalists took the lead in their Group B2 match through Denis Cheryshev, scorer of four goals in the summer.
Russia were pegged back by Serdar Aziz’s strike.
But Dzyuba, who scored three World Cup goals, was the hero again with a low drive to earn all three points.
Sweden, the other side in the group, host Turkey on Monday.

DPA
Kölns Dominic Maroh (l.), Yoshinori Muto vom FSV Mainz
Sonntag, 22.01.2017   19:19 Uhr
FSV Mainz 05 – 1. FC Köln (0:0) Mainz: Lössl – Brosinski, Bell, Bungert, Bussmann – Latza, Frei – Öztunali, Jairo – De Blasis, Muto Köln: Kessler – Sörensen, Maroh, Heintz – Olkowski, Rausch – Höger, Hector – Clemens, Osako – Modeste Schiedsrichter: Dr. Felix Brych Zuschauer: 29.340 Gelbe Karten: Bussmann – Sörensen

Wolfsburg secure Bundesliga survival
VfL Wolfsburg secured their place in the Bundesliga on Monday by beating Holstein Kiel 1-0 in the second leg of their relegation play-off for a 4-1 aggregate victory.
Holstein Kiel 0 Wolfsburg 1 Malli’s opener disallowed after VAR Both sides struggle to hit the target Casteels makes great save to deny Seydel Knoche scores winner for Wolfsburg
Match summary
Wolfsburg and Kiel both created chances early in the game but it was Die Wolfe who seemed to score in the 17th minute, only to see it disallowed by VAR.
Koen Casteels made a terrific save to keep Seydel out, before Robin Knoche produces the winning strike to see Wolfsburg stave off relegation.

Match report
Die Wolfe made a bright start as they threatened the hosts’ goal within the first two minutes. Maximilian Arnold delivered the free-kick but Felix Uduokhai sent his header wide of the post.
The home team had a decent chance around the 10-minute mark when Tom Weiland surged down the right before crossing for Marvin Ducksch, but his first-time volley couldn’t find the target.
Aaron Seydel produced some fine individual skill to excite the home support when he cut inside from the left to unleash a strike, but yet again it went wide.
The breakthrough seemed to finally arrive in the 17th minute when Wolfsburg’s Yunus Malli put the ball in the back of the net. However, the goal was disallowed after a VAR review because Divock Origi was offside and obstructed the goalkeeper’s view of the ball.
The scores remained level at 0-0 at the break, with Wolfsburg still enjoying their 3-1 aggregate lead from the first leg.
Shortly after the interval, Kiel had a great chance to score the opener. Seydel found the target with his shot but goalkeeper Koen Casteels made a super one-handed save to deny him.
The tie was put to bed in the 75th minute when Wolfsburg scored their away goal for a 4-1 aggregate lead. Robin Knoche showcased his movement off the ball as he slipped in at the near post to head home and secure his side’s place in the Bundesliga for at least another season.
There was a late scare for Wolfsburg when Rafael Czichos bundled the ball over the line for Kiel, but it was disallowed by VAR for a handball.
THEY SURVIVE AGAIN!

On-loan Lookman scores twice as Leipzig beat Wolfsburg
Everton’s Ademola Lookman scored twice for RB Leipzig while England youth international Jadon Sancho set up a Bundesliga goal for Borussia Dortmund.
England Under-21 forward Lookman, 20, netted his third and fourth goals in Germany’s top flight since joining Leipzig on loan in January.
Timo Werner and Jean-Kevin Augustin also scored as they beat Wolfsburg 4-1.
Sancho, 18, provided an assist for Maximilian Philipp as third-placed Dortmund lost 2-1 at home to Mainz.
The visitors secured Bundesliga survival with the result.
Borussia Dortmund’s ex-Man City winger living the ‘dream’[1]
Sancho was a regular in Manchester City’s youth sides last season – scoring 20 goals in 35 games.
However, he stopped training[2] with the club earlier this season to force a move.
City did not give him permission to speak to any British clubs and a long-term deal was agreed with Dortmund.
Sancho scored his first goal[3] for the side in a 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on 21 April.
He has now provided four assists in the Bundesliga.

Bayern leave it late against Wolfsburg
Runaway Bundesliga leaders FC Bayern München needed a stoppage-time goal from Robert Lewandowski to secure a 2-1 win over VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday.
Wolfsburg 1 Bayern Munich 2 Didavi on target on eight minutes Robben has 55th-minute penalty saved Wagner levels with 64 minutes played Lewandowski replaces Wagner on 79′ Lewandowski wins it from the spot on 90+1
Match summary
Daniel Didavi shocked Bayern with an early goal at the Volkswagen Arena and while Arjen Robben missed a second half penalty, Sandro Wagner levelled the score just after the hour mark before Lewandowski’s late winner.
Full report
Bayern were quickly out of the blocks with Juan Bernat coming close to picking out Sandro Wagner with a good early delivery.
Jeffrey Bruma then did well to deny the same combination from stealing it from another good cross from Bernat from the left-hand side.
Javi Martinez’s acrobatic effort was cleared by the Wolfsburg defence and despite being under some good pressure, it was the home side who took the lead, with virtually their first attack, after eight minutes.
Having won a corner, the ball was played short to Yunus Malli, who curled the ball on to the head of Didavi to power home.
Sebastian Rudy’s 12th-minute free-kick failed to test Koen Casteels as Bayern looked to respond.
Niklas Sule then glanced his header from an Arjen Robben free-kick just off target, and while the visitors were seeing plenty of the ball, Rudy was well wide with a speculative effort as Robben hit the wall from a 29th-minute free-kick.
A rare foray forward for Wolfsburg came to nothing at the end of the first half, that ultimately ended with Robben missing a great chance to equalise. A Bayern counter-attack saw Franck Ribery feed the Dutchman, who fired against an upright, although he had strayed slightly offside.
Didavi fired a free-kick at the start of the second period onto the roof of the Bayern net, after Divock Origi had got forward well and won the set-piece.
Bayern though should have been back in the tie from the penalty spot on 53 minutes after Renato Steffen upended Corentin Tolisso, only for Casteels to tip Robben’s spot-kick onto a post.
Tolisso then should have done better at the back post after connecting to a deep cross, but Casteels made the save, and while Wagner was wide on the hour mark, he levelled for Bayern with 64 minutes on the clock.
The German striker headed in a Robben cross from the right-hand side following a swift counter-attack from Thomas Muller.
Wagner was off target with a looping header following another good swift break forward by Bayern and Robben so nearly made up for his penalty miss with 88 minutes on the clock, but with the goal at his mercy, Robin Knoche got back well to deny the winger.
But after another good effort from Robben, that curled just wide of the target, Bayern had the goal they were threatening, albeit from the penalty spot, as Lewandowski fired low past Casteels and into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.
Gian Luca Itter had fouled Robben inside the box leaving the referee with no choice but to point to the spot.
It was poor first half by Bayern but they managed to win it at the death after a better second period, to move 21 points clear at the top of the table.

Farewell and thanks for all the fish, Yunus.
