How to Plan a Maldives Tour from India: Everything You Need to Know
The Maldives, with its stunning white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and luxurious resorts, is a dream destination for many travelers. For those planning a trip from India, particularly from Kerala or cities like Kochi, the Maldives offers a perfect getaway. With the right preparation and knowledge, you can create a memorable vacation. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to plan a Maldives tour from India, including details on Maldives tour packages from Kerala and Maldives tour packages from Kochi.
1. Choosing the Right Tour Package
The first step in planning your Maldives vacation is selecting the right Maldives tour package from Kerala or Maldives tour packages from Kochi. Many travel agencies offer a variety of packages catering to different budgets and preferences. You can choose from all-inclusive packages that cover flights, accommodations, meals, and activities, or customize your package according to your needs.
Consider what you want from your trip. Are you looking for a luxury experience, a budget-friendly vacation, or a romantic honeymoon? Research various packages to find one that aligns with your travel goals. Popular options include water villas, beach resorts, and family-friendly hotels.
2. Best Time to Visit the Maldives
The Maldives enjoys a tropical climate, making it a year-round destination. However, the best time to visit is from November to April when the weather is dry and sunny, ideal for beach activities and water sports. This period sees fewer rain showers and calm seas, making it perfect for snorkeling, diving, and exploring the vibrant marine life.
Traveling during the shoulder season (May to October) can be advantageous as you might find cheaper deals and fewer crowds. However, be prepared for occasional rain and humidity. Regardless of when you choose to visit, planning your trip in advance allows you to secure the best deals.
3. Flights from India to the Maldives
Several airlines offer direct flights from major Indian cities to Malé, the capital of the Maldives. From Kerala, cities like Kochi and Trivandrum have regular flights to Malé, with a travel time of around one to two hours. Airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, and GoAir frequently operate these routes.
When booking your flight, consider using online travel platforms to compare prices and find the best deals. Many Maldives tour packages from Kochi include flights, making it easier to manage your bookings.
4. Visa Requirements
One of the most appealing aspects of traveling to the Maldives from India is the visa policy. Indian citizens can obtain a visa on arrival for 30 days, which is free of charge. Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months from your date of entry. You’ll also need to show proof of onward travel (return ticket) and sufficient funds to cover your stay.
It’s always a good idea to check the latest visa requirements and policies before your trip, as regulations can change.
5. Accommodation Options
The Maldives is renowned for its luxury resorts, many of which offer unique experiences, such as overwater villas and private island stays. When choosing your accommodation, consider the type of experience you want—whether you prefer a luxury resort, a boutique hotel, or a guesthouse on a local island.
Booking a Maldives tour package from Kerala often includes accommodation, which can simplify your planning. Look for packages that allow you to choose your resort based on your budget and preferences. Popular resorts include Soneva Fushi, Baros Maldives, and the Anantara Veli Maldives Resort.
6. Activities and Experiences
The Maldives is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Depending on your interests, you can engage in various activities, including:
Snorkeling and Diving: Explore the vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life, including turtles, manta rays, and colorful fish.
Water Sports: Enjoy thrilling activities like jet skiing, windsurfing, and parasailing.
Island Hopping: Visit nearby local islands to experience Maldivian culture and hospitality.
Relaxation: Indulge in spa treatments, yoga sessions, or simply unwind on the beach.
Be sure to check which activities are included in your Maldives tour packages from Kochi or Kerala, as many packages offer exciting excursions.
7. Travel Insurance
While planning your Maldives tour, consider purchasing travel insurance. This can cover unforeseen events, such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage. Many travel agencies offer insurance options that you can include in your package.
Conclusion
Planning a Maldives tour from India, especially from Kerala or Kochi, can be a smooth and enjoyable process. By choosing the right Maldives tour package from Kerala or Maldives tour packages from Kochi, understanding visa requirements, booking flights early, and knowing what to expect regarding accommodations and activities, you can ensure a stress-free vacation. With its breathtaking scenery, luxurious resorts, and a wealth of activities, the Maldives promises a truly unforgettable experience for every traveler. So pack your bags, and get ready to explore this tropical paradise!

Five major misconceptions to avoid for booking the best Maldives family holiday package
If you plan to book the best Maldives family holiday package, you need to know its many misconceptions to avoid them. Some may have misconceptions about culture, climate, costs, and the many activities and things to see and enjoy in the Maldives. Maldives tourism accounts for 28% of its GDP, as 90% of its government tax revenue is only from the tourism-related taxes and import duties. Hence, many misconceptions about visiting the Maldives are wrong as its government ensures all steps to make your trip an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. Anyone can get a 30-day tourist visa on arrival in the Maldives with a valid passport and sufficient funds.
So, check out the top ten misconceptions to avoid for booking the best Maldives family holiday package from an experienced and specialist tour operator.
Five main misconceptions to avoid for booking the best Maldives family holiday package
The Maldives has only half a million inhabitants in its 1192 islands, of which only around 200 islands are inhabited. Of these, 132 resort islands are in the Maldives, and Male is the most popular among them. The 2004 tsunami caused a loss of over 400 million dollars and divested most of these islands. Hence, many misconceptions exist about the suitable islands, costs, facilities, airports, activities, and resorts, among others, to book the best Maldives family holiday package. A few of them include.
The Maldives is best only for a honeymoon.
Many people want to book only the best Maldives honeymoon packages as they think that is only best for the honeymoon. But the Maldives is not only heaven for the newlywed couples but also the entire family and friends, with many stunning islands and a lot of activities above and below the crystal-clear blue waters surrounding them.
2. Maldives tourism is expensive.
The Maldives thrives on its tourism business, with many over a hundred islands having private resorts to suit the budget and not break the bank. From the five-star resorts of the Taj Group, which are the most luxurious and expensive, to budget resorts, there is one suitable for all. Hence, choosing the right Maldives family holiday package per the budget will not make it expensive.
3. No direct flights to the Maldives
Contrary to many who think there are direct flights to the Maldives, many airlines have it from many countries like India, Dubai, China, and Sri Lanka. British Airways, Iberia, and others have direct flights to the MLE or the Male International airport. There are also chartered flights from Europe, China, and Singapore.
4. Not enough facilities to travel to the many islands
From live aboard or localized cruise ships which have a wide range of facilities and accommodations to visit the many islands, there are small yachts and houseboats to safari the pristine waters of the Maldives
2. Worried about Maldives climate, culture, and language
The Maldives is a mix of many cultures that, reflected in their songs and dances, are additional attractions. Also, the average climate is only around 25 degrees Celsius and crosses the 30 degrees level rarely to have pleasant weather throughout the year. And most of the people here speak English sufficiently to have no language problems.
The best Maldives specialist tour operator will clear all the misconceptions and offer the best Maldives family holiday package for your next vacation to have the best time of your life.

Trip to Maldives.
We just came back from the Maldives. It is an amazing place but we had such a difficult time looking for a hotel there. In Maldives usually, there is one hotel on one island. You book a hotel and spend all your vacation there. So while booking the hotel, you have to make sure that the hotel has good activities so that you don't get bored.
Also, it is better to book complete package with the hotel from the beginnings. Complete package includes transport to and fro from the hotel and airport, food and stay. Unlike other places, you can't stay in one place and eat at other here. Also since only one hotel is there on one island, it's only your hotel people who will go there. The cost of airport transfer depends on how far your hotel is from the airport.
There are a whole range of hotels from the cheapest one to the most exotic ones. When we were checking we also saw a hotel as expensive as 10k $ per night. That hotel was a two-storeyed private water Villa with a slide into the ocean. Anyway, that was fun only for viewing.
We decided to stay at Centara Ras Fushi, obviously took the complete package including food and airport transfer.
Because of the outbreak of Coronavirus airports were unusually empty. It was 4 hours flight from Kuala Lumpur. I think visa for Maldives is free of cost for all the people around the world.(At least it was for us with Indian passport).
The representative of Centera hotel were present at the airport. As soon as you come out of the airport, you see the ocean. You are that close to water. We were waiting for 3 other couples to join us. They joined in 15-20 mins. We had to take a boat to reach the hotel which was a 20-25 mins ride. It was windy that day and hence a little bumpy in the boat.
The staff of the hotel greeted us at the arrival and briefed us with things that are included and not included in the package. They served us lemon-cranberry juice on arrival. Since there was some time remaining for check-in, we went for lunch. We were not sure how the lunch is going to be especially when we are vegetarians but to our surprise, the lunch was really good with lot of options. They had a full course buffet with lot of options to eat. We were overwhelmed by the quantity of the food.
We checked in to the room after that and we were welcomed with the bottle of wine and sweets for our "honeymoon". We had room on the beach for the first day, so you walk out of the room and you are on the beach. As mentioned earlier all the property in the island is owned by the hotel. There were 4 restaurants in the hotel. One was a Thai restaurant, another Italian, an Arabic restaurant and a common restaurant with mixed theme. The seats in all these special restaurants were limited and required pre-booking. There were 3 bars as well, all with amazing and different views. Apart from that, there were 2 swimming pools as well which is quite ironic since we were surrounded by water all around.
They also had water sports on the beach which included banana ride, kayaking, para sailing and few other activities of which I don't the know the name.
There was an e-zone with some games. Fussball, pool and play station. They also had gym. Apart from that, here are also some other unique functions which were arranged. For example, during our stay one night was a beach movie night where they showed a movie on a big screen on the beach.
We stayed in a water villa and the view there was breath taking.
I wish we could stay there more. Resort service was awesome. You enjoy/buy whatever you want during your stay at the resort but no need to pay. Everything is calculated at the end during check out. Speedboat was ready at our time on the day of departure. We bid goodbye to the resort and came back to Male airport for our flight back home.

50 shades of blue - The Maldives!
Travel; travel to broaden your vision and to see what you cannot see without traveling! - Aparna Tiwari
It has been my favorite hobby to shortlist the next possible travel destination and plan an itinenrary that helps me experience the most without spending a lot. When I make travel plans, I always aim to gather unique experiences and learn local culture. Usually I travel with my husband who also loves to travel and is becoming an explorer like me ;). I also love to have my friends or family join me on my trips whenever its possible for them. I have also done some solo trips that made me a different person altogether, my other blogs will highlight more details on my solo trips. For now, I hope some people can find this blog helpful and some who has already traveled can share their experiences which will help me learn something new.
About Destination
I chose to start my first blog with Maldives since I feel this has been the best destination out of 14 countries I have traveled till date.
Maldives encompass more than 99 % of the sea and less than 1 % of the land. The 99 % of the sea is home to one of the most diverse marine treasures of the world. Less than 1 % of the land is a masterpiece in natural landscaping. It is located on top of a vast underwater mountain range have around 1190 islands and sandbanks and it is ranked the third most endangered nation due to flooding from climate change.
Maldives is an assortment of various small islands with Male’ being the biggest island and hence capital of Maldives. Any resort or hotel you have chosen to live in will always be on the island other than Male'. To commute to these islands you would require a public boat (called as dhoni in Maldives) or a private boat or a sea plane that can be arranged by respective resort/hotel. Maldives being one of the premium destinations for vacation and honeymoon, resorts/water villa experience can cost you a lot.
Our choice of stay - the best desicion of this trip
My idea of vacation is always to spend less for the place of stay and spend more on activities and food, hence after huge research on all hotel websites we decided to stay in 2 islands mainly - Mahibadhoo which is a 945m wide inhabitated island 80 kms away from Male’ and Maafushi which is more of a commercial island 26 km away from Male’.
We chose to stay in Mahibadhoo, primarily for 5 days, out of our 7 day trip because we chose to stay with Mazin’s family in his guest house named Amazing Noovilu. I came across this guest house after my intense research on hotels and resorts, and relalized how expensive it is to stay in a resort plus water activities were exorbitantly expensive. We never wanted to spend a lot but we definitely wanted to experience lot of things hence Amazing Noovilu was a reasonable deal and turned out to be the best decision of our trip.
Last 2 days, of 7 days, were spent in Maafushi to experience the commercial side of Maldives ofcourse the former experience was better and undefinable, anyday. We did not do any water activity in Maafushi, since everything was expensive and commercialised and we already did watersports during our stay with Mazin. We chose to stay at the beach and explored the island on rented bi-cycle.
We made this trip to celebrate our 4th Marriage anniversary in the month of February 2015.
Local tastes
We make it a point to always try the local cuisine—no matter where we are travelling. Here at Mazin’s Noovilu we had a great chance to eat local food with his family which we greatly appreciated, specially his family’s hospitality was incomparable. We had our breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked by Mazin's wife and sister, this gave us good opportunity to try Maldivian local food. I am unable to recall the dish name which was my most favorite - but in my words it was Maldivian Tuna fish bhurji with hot chapati. We also had fresh passion fruit juice everyday.
In Maafushi we had a lavish buffet, on the beach, which had great spread of local dishes and the highlight was Maldivian styled grilled Tuna over a garden bbq grill.
Favorite Spot
Though every place in Maldives is so beautiful that it makes difficult for us to say any one spot is my favorite. As soon as we landed at Male’ airport we were mesmerised by the beauty and color of water, we ended up doubting if the water could be so blue!
We haven't counted how many shades we witnessed during our whole trip, but if someone is tasked to do so, one could probably count close to 50 shades of blue color in the surrounding (to my best assumption), hence the title of this blog!
It is very difficult to funnel down to any one favorite spot out of all the places we visited in Maldives, hence, I would mention spots that gave us the most unique experience:
1) Snorkelling in the non commercial and pristine coral reef locations where visbility under water can be compared to looking on the other side of a transparent mirror and I witnessed things that I could have never been able to imagine even in best of my dreams - colorful reefs, fishes of different colors, shapes and sizes, sun rays getting inside the sea water making everything look like a fairy land and what not! Life under sea can never be explained in words and it can only be experienced. And to make a difference we also did night snorkelling wich was very unique and scary experience for us.
2) Sand banking - This was, another, most unique experience of the trip when Mazin took us in his boat in middle of the sea and asked us to get off his boat - it was a little shocking moment for us but we knew we will be experiencing something unique. Sand banking is banking on a small peice of land (about less than 10 meters) under water that emerges out of the sea due to low tide and stays under water otherwise. We were fortunate enough to experience sun downing on this small peice of land surrounded by blue water all around and at the same time enjoying our evening tea.
3) Camping on unhabitated island - Mazin took us to an unhabitated small island and we spent our whole day under small white tent on the beach. If there exists a pure blue color then I would say I have witnessed it right here. We snorkelled around the island, took power naps on the white sand, had Maldivian snack in eve while enjoying sunset and came back home completely tanned which I didnt bothered till I reached back home!
New Maldives traveler essentials
1) While booking your resort/guest house or hotel make sure to book all inclusive package deal (including food/drinks and commute), else you may end up paying huge for food and your commute specially.
2) Do keep motion sickness pills, you would require these the most since most of the commute in Maldives is on the water and not having motion sickness pill can spoil your journey - this is based on our experience :)
3) Plan your flight timings according to public ferry (dhoni) as they run on a specific schedule. Be mindful of the fact that all public ferry/boats are closed on a Friday - so if you have your connecting flight on a Friday, you will end up paying anywhere between USD 150 to 500 per person, one way, for a sea plane or a private boat, ofcourse sea plane will be more expensive anyday. A public ferry would cost you around USD 30 per person one way.
4) Its a Muslim country so alcohol is only available in 5 star resorts, you cannot take alcohol with you in your luggage so beware and respect this fact.
5) Staying in resorts can be very expensive and water activities are commercialised and can be equally expensive. My personal suggestion would be to spend majority of days in a guest house or less expensive place where you can customize water activities according to your own taste and then take experience of 5 star resorts or water villas which will give you taste of both sides of Maldives, plus will be easy on pocket too.
Overall, an experience to Remember!
Apart from all the activities we did in Mahibadhoo we also spent every night sitting next to the beach in the moonlight feeling breeze and sound of the sea waves, ate Maldivian food with Mazin's family, met Ritchie (Macau bird), saw Maldivian local performance, danced on Maldivian folk song and discussed bollywood every night with Mazin and his crew while sitting in a small and only cafe in Mahibadhoo by the sea. It was an amazing experience to stay in Amazing Noovilu. Maafushi was a short stay for us but we enjoyed exploring the island on bi-cycle and enjoyed our relaxing time on the beach. I usually watch my photos to revisit the beautiful memories made on the trip and it got refreshed again with more details while I was writing this blog.
For all those people who have not visited Maldives, I am sure you will be enticed to book your next vacation to this place before this place submerges under sea and for the people who already have visited can correlate with the beautiful experiences in common.

Of course, this includes safari game drives, but I’ve also done paragliding, shark cage diving, abseiling, hiking and other milder activities like wine-tasting.
During this whole time, the experiences I had with my stays and activities that I partook in were so romantic in nature that there were more than one instance my travel buddy, Daniela, and I felt almost like we’re celebrating our own honeymoon.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ededed” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”20793″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_blank” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%” img_link=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/day-trips-from-reykjavik-iceland-with-preposterous-views/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5Bvc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]TRAVEL HACK:[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]As always, I find the best way to source for the cheapest flights is by checking on Skyscanner & Momondo.

I always thought that the Maldives would be my honeymoon destination, until I went there in January 2017 (not on a honeymoon) and I fulfilled my premature honeymoon dream. From that trip, I realised how visiting the Maldives can also be done easily on a budget. But I digress.
It was not until I was in the shoes of a visitor in South Africa, experiencing all that they had to offer – the service, the hospitality, the wilderness, the views – that I am truly sold for it being a prime honeymoon destination.
Hence this article which will convince you on why South Africa makes for the perfect honeymoon destination!
South Africa as a honeymoon destination – Why you should book a honeymoon package in South Africa
1. Stay in luxury.
Nothings puts the spotlight on romance in South Africa more than the luxury hotels here.
And we have to begin with the bathrooms, because out of all the hotel reviews I’ve done, the bathroom usually makes or breaks my experience.
When it comes to the bathrooms in the luxury lodges in South Africa, you can be sure you’ll never see anything quite like it (unless you’re in one of the overwater villas in the Maldives).

Cape View Clifton

Rhino River Lodge
Large rooms, fluffy towels, comfortable linen, bed so soft you want to sink and never get out of, so many pillows (anyone else love being surrounded by pillows when they sleep?), quality toilet rolls (trust me, I’ve learned not to take this detail for granted after being in different types of accommodation around South Africa) and turndown service (what this means is that the service staff would come in when you’re out for dinner to open your sheets to welcome you to bed, roll down the window blinds and do a quick sweep of your room to make it look welcoming again when you return. Occasionally, they may include a chocolate or two on your bedside.).
Wildehondekloof
Turbine Boutique Hotel & Spa
Double sinks, fluffy bathrobes, a choice of indoor or outdoor shower… even the shower heads come in pairs!
Most of the time, you’re spoilt for choice between a shower or a bubble bath in the bathtub, like what the The Old Rectory, Brahman Hills, Wildehondekloof and Turbine Hotel offer.
The Old Rectory Hotel & Spa, Plettenberg Bay
Brahman Hills
Here’s the bonus: I know for a fact that some hotels have bathtubs but no bath salts. All of these above mentioned hotels provide the aromatic scents of bath salts that make you can’t say no to bathtub soaks!
2. Luxurious spa treatments.
Nothing like a pampering session with your loved ones especially since you’re already splurging on a fancy hotel stay aye?
Brahman Hills
We had the chance to experience spa sessions in some of the hotels we stayed – Brahman Hills and Thanda Safari. Most of these spa rooms have double beds, some even have side-by-side bathtubs for you to soak in after the rejuvenating spa session.
They use natural scented oils to inhale and to rub our bodies with, for a truly sensory experience.
If you want a little something extra like a pedicure or manicure, Brahman Hills offer it.
3. Wedding packages readily available.
If you’re thinking of holding your wedding ceremony or renewing your vows here, most of the hotels, resorts and lodges are well-equipped for it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ededed” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”22630″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_blank” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%” img_link=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/top-destination-wedding-locations/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5Bvc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Don’t miss:[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”default_arrow” text=”Top Destination Wedding Locations” url=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/top-destination-wedding-locations/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5B/vc_row%5D%5Bvc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]They offer a dedicated Wedding Planner, space for bridal preparation, out-of-the-world wedding venues and even world-class gourmet foods that I can imagine it being challenging to pick one location out of so many of them in South Africa.
At the risk of being biased, If I were to hold my wedding here, I know for a fact that Brahman Hills has got me covered.
With their 2 dedicated glasshouse chapels overlooking a lake or the gentle hills, a long table and hearths in their dining restaurant, full bridal hair and make-up service, a dedicated spa room which converts into a preparation room for the ladies and a cosy underground bar for everyone to celebrate, what more can any bride or groom ask for?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][nectar_btn size=”medium” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”none” url=”https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g1207687-d9458145-Reviews-Brahman_Hills_Hotel_Spa-Nottingham_Road_KwaZulu_Natal.html” text=”Check out reviews of Brahman Hills’ wedding package here.” css_animation=”fadeInLeft”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]I know for a fact that there are many hotels and resorts offering amazing, romantic wedding packages too. Depending on your tastes and preferences – whether you like the outback, somewhere laidback by the lake, right in the bush, a beach wedding – the options are aplenty in South Africa.
4. Totally exclusive, 100% privacy.
For a country that is so wide and expansive, wherever you are, you can almost count on being alone with you and your companion. Some of the lodges I’ve stayed in were void of civilisation around our cottage/ tent/ lodge. All we were surrounded with were large expanse of fields or forests.
Set in the heart of the Blue Crane Reserve, our self-catering cottage in Brahman Hills was so secluded that driving is necessary just to get from the reception to our cottage.

Our bathroom had floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlooked the wilderness – that’s how little you have to worry about being seen naked!
At Thanda Safari, the property sits on 14,000 hectares of private land that we had to have a vehicle drive us to our spa location.

5. Free-flow champagne, wines, beers.. you get it.
Thanda Safari’s bar
If you book with luxury all-in-one lodges such as Thanda Safari, their package includes free-flow house wines, local spirits and beers in it.
More than once, we were gifted a champagne upon check in, which is a pleasant surprise and an instant mood-lifter. The folks at Thanda Safari very sweetly baked a homemade birthday cake and surprised me on my last dinner there. The cake was delicious and so massive we shared it with all the other guests on the property that night.
6. Indulge in wine country.
Wine tasting at Ken Forrester Vineyards, Stellenbosch
Wine tasting at Ken Forrester Vineyards, Stellenbosch
You can never go on a honeymoon without going on a wine-tasting experience, can we? Especially when you’re right in the heart of the Winelands. Yes, the Cape Winelands is an actual region, and a very known one at that!
It consists of three main towns – Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl. The closest town to Cape Town is Stellenbosch, which is a mere 40-minute drive away.
Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch is South Africa’s second-oldest European settlement after Cape Town, established in 1679. Popularly known as the wine town due to its rich viticulture scene, tourists flock here daily for the hundreds of world-class wine estates that fringe Stellenbosch town within a 15km radius.
The little university town, dotted with Victorian and Georgian buildings, is reminiscent of the colonial times that once stood here.
Town of Franschhoek
Town of Franschhoek
Franschhoek is another underrated town we almost missed if not for the recommendation of a local.
Translating to “French corner”, most of the town’s activity is congregated around the main street on Main Road. It is along the vicinity of the Main Road and towards the Franschhoek Pass that you’ll find vineyards, wineries and wine farms.
You’ll feel like you’re transported to France, with the manicured gardens, the terrace resorts and the undulating valleys interspersed with fields of symmetrical vineyards.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ededed” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”22769″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_blank” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%” img_link=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/paragliding-along-the-garden-route-south-africa/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5Bvc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Read this:[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”default_arrow” text=”Paragliding Along the Garden Route, South Africa – What Better Way To Enjoy The View?” url=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/paragliding-along-the-garden-route-south-africa/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5B/vc_row%5D%5Bvc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]If you want to save the hassle on deciding which wine yards to choose from, you can hop on the Franschhoek Wine Tram, a hop-on-hop-off tram that goes around town and stops at selected vineyards.
Most estates offer food-and-wine pairings, so you can always decide to stop in one you fancy and settle in for a meal.
7. Go on horse-drawn carriage rides.
As if wine tasting on a vineyard isn’t enough, how about taking up a notch and sit on a horse-drawn carriage while you’re at it?
At Hog Hollow Horse Trails in Plettenberg Bay, they offer a 10-seater carriage drawn by 2 beautiful Percherons to take you to explore The Crags Winelands, along with artisan wines from Kay+Monty.
The trail passes through views of mountains, forest, farm land and old woodcutters trails, all while being surrounded by the imposing Tsitsikamma mountain range.
Kay+Monty
Kay+Monty in itself is another whole new attraction in itself. A wedding venue, tasting room and restaurant, this former old orchid greenhouse was thoughtfully converted into a modern-rustic venue, and now produce crisp Sauvignon Blanc and a delicious dry Chardonnay MCC.
Methode Cap Classique (MCC) is a type of sparkling wine that’s made uniquely in South Africa, according to the traditional Champagne method. I really loved the one I tried in Kay+Monty and grabbed a bottle home!
Even with less than 8 hectares under grape, this sprawling estate can serve up to 200 people in their restaurant, making it a very attractive venue to host a memorable event.
You’ll feel right at home with their large fireplace welcoming you as your entrance and wooden furniture that make up the space, not to mention the picturesque farm that serves as a perfect backdrop.
8. Breakfast in bed (with cherry on top)?
Breakfast on our room deck, Turbine Boutique Hotel & Spa
With views like the one we get at Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa overlooking the pool and the Knysna River, it’s hard to get out of the room!
As such, we ordered breakfast in – and I can bet this sure beats eating at the dining hall![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][nectar_btn size=”medium” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”none” url=”https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g312664-d1963097-Reviews-The_Turbine_Boutique_Hotel_and_Spa-Knysna_Western_Cape.html” text=”Check out reviews of Turbine Hotel here.” css_animation=”fadeInLeft”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]
9. Romance in candlelight dinners.
You can be sure to expect candlelight dinners and bonfires wherever you stay.
More functional than for aesthetic purposes, being in the wild means getting used to darkness, though it’s hard to dispute how romantic this whole setting is especially when you’re with your partner enjoying dinner.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ededed” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”4445″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_blank” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%” img_link=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/6-best-destinations-for-a-relaxing-holiday/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5Bvc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Read this:[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”default_arrow” text=”6 Best Destinations for a Relaxing Holiday” url=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/6-best-destinations-for-a-relaxing-holiday/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5B/vc_row%5D%5Bvc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Some lodges even offer African boma-style dining settings. A traditional Boma is set up in a way that encloses guests to allow for full privacy while dining under the glittering African sky.
Rhino River Lodge let us experience exactly that! We had a boma dinner on our last night, dining in a private enclosed area by the beach with a bonfire beside our table. A kerosene lamp provided light to our table and the homely staff frequently came in to check in on us and the fire.
This is African outdoor dining at its best!
10. Enjoy a picnic in the wilderness.
Hotels such as Wildehondekloof can prepare picnic baskets for you to take with you wherever your heart fancies.
Klein Karoo trail
Whether it is a trail into the Klein Karoo mountain ridge or a viewpoint overlooking the Swartberg Pass, the desert conditions and cool temperature (only 15°C in October) make it a glorious day ANY day to be out![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][nectar_btn size=”medium” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”none” url=”https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g14058349-d12860750-Reviews-Wildehondekloof-Matjiesrivier_Western_Cape.html” text=”Check out reviews of Wildehondekloof here.” css_animation=”fadeInLeft”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]
11. Road trip views.
Swartberg Pass, Oudtshoorn
The drive in and around South Africa itself is a sight in itself. Whether you prefer the lush greens of the Garden Route or through the arid landscapes of the Klein Karoo near Oudtshoorn, the landscapes of South Africa is as ever-changing as you can imagine.
Driving through South Africa, one minute I was reminded of my times driving in Scotland and New Zealand, the next, I enter the desert landscapes akin to Arizona and Zion in the USA.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ededed” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”8919″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_blank” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%” img_link=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/best-drones-for-travel-these-77-drone-photos-will-make-you-want-to-fly-a-drone-immediately/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5Bvc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Read this:[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”default_arrow” text=”Best Drones For Travel – These 77 Drone Photos Will Make You Want To Fly A Drone Immediately!” url=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/best-drones-for-travel-these-77-drone-photos-will-make-you-want-to-fly-a-drone-immediately/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5B/vc_row%5D%5Bvc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]
12. Animal visits.
You can wake up to the view of mountains and animals grazing ANY and EVERY morning.
Impalas grazing any time of the day in Wildehondekloof, Oudtshoorn
I spotted impalas and nyalas in Wildehondekloof with a backdrop of the thick forests.
Ostriches greeted me from my full-length window when I stayed in a small town called Scarborough in Cape Town’s Cape Peninsula, just 30 minutes drive to Cape Point.
Zebras caught me unguarded as I was stark naked enjoying an outdoor jacuzzi in Brahman Hills.
Warthogs being elusive as ever – my favourite, for they are so cute – inching close to my lodge at Rhino River Lodge when they think I’m not looking.
13. Delight in spotting wild animals on safari game drives.
Fulfil your African safari dream right here on your honeymoon!

We were always the only two that were travelling as friends.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ededed” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”4487″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_blank” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%” img_link=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/african-safaris-go-luxury-less-budget/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5Bvc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Don’t miss:[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”default_arrow” text=”African Safaris: How to Go Luxury for Less” url=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/african-safaris-go-luxury-less-budget/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5B/vc_row%5D%5Bvc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]
That’s not to say that solo travellers or family travellers don’t go on game drives, because we did see a fair amount of them as well.
Aim to catch the Big 5 animals (but also keep your expectations low and let the animals you see surprise you) if you can, but otherwise, take in the rawness of South Africa’s game reserves and let the outback experience transport you into another universe where only the fittest survive.
Free flow alcohol
or a cuppa
What makes game drives romantic is how you can enjoy a hot cuppa in the middle of the wilderness as the sun rises in the horizon, or a bubbly as you embark on one of the sundowner drives.
Catching a sunset on a sundowner game drive
Game drives, if you don’t know already, usually include a small tea break in between game viewing for you to stretch your legs and recharge so that your senses are on point to spot more animals in the second half!
14. Idyllic beaches.

Each of these towns offer their own marine specialty, whether it is shark cage diving, snorkelling, kayaking, penguin-watching or scenic drives.
View from Cape View Clifton
I’ve had tear-dropping moments looking at the beaches in Cape Town’s Clifton and Camps Bay (especially from my hotel at Cape View Clifton!!).
Penguins on Boulders Beach, Cape Town
Penguins on Boulders Beach, Cape Town
At the East side of Cape Town, surprises await. Boulders Beach on Simon’s Town has cute resident penguins you’ll spend your whole time looking at.
Kalk Bay, Cape Town
Fish Hoek, Cape Town
Kalk Bay and Muizenberg offer surfers addictive surf breaks, and it is here you’ll see surfers year round in action.
Misty Cliffs
Further South, Misty Cliffs and Scarborough offer some really secluded, untouched, local beach hangouts.
Chapman’s Peak scenic drive
The cliffs and natural rock formations forming the West side of Cape Town as a result of the ocean action has turned it into some of the MOST scenic drives I’ve ever been on.
Seriously, I had to bite the urge to stop at every viewpoint! I was also very lucky to have witnessed a rainbow driving through Chapman’s Peak, a scenic drive I ABSOLUTELY recommend if you’re in Cape Town.
I could go on about Cape Town, but I’ll write a detailed post about Cape Town talking all about my favourite city.
15. Thrilling adventures for the thrill-seekers.
If you’re one for the thrills (I totally am), there’s no better excuse than to grab your partner and indulge in some raw adventures!
Make use of the opportunity of South Africa’s abundant wildlife and marine creatures by hopping on board a shark cage diving tour to see REAL Great White Sharks. I ticked off this bucket list at Mossel Bay, where I came nose-to-nose with Great Whites that were as large as 6 metres long! Watching them sear off the tuna head (which acted as bait) gave me a newfound respect for these jaws.
Entering the shark cage
If crocodile is more your thing, Cape Town offers crocodile cage diving tours too.
Throughout the whole country of South Africa, there is no shortage of panoramic views. Jump on a parachute to skydive, zip-line, bungee jump, kitesurf or paraglide![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” bg_color=”#ededed” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=””][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”22777″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” img_link_target=”_blank” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%” img_link=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/paragliding-on-cape-town-south-africa/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5Bvc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”3/4″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Don’t miss:[/vc_column_text][nectar_btn size=”small” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”see-through-2″ color_override=”#f27471″ hover_color_override=”#f27471″ hover_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”default_arrow” text=”Paragliding on Cape Town, South Africa – Is It Worth the Hype?” url=”https://www.belaroundtheworld.com/paragliding-on-cape-town-south-africa/”%5D%5B/vc_column%5D%5B/vc_row%5D%5Bvc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]

Atop Chapman’s Peak hike
Knysna in particular is nice to kayak and bike because you can do them along the Knysna River where the water is calm and the view is therapeutic.
17. Take a sunset cruise.
Knysna Heads
Sunset cruise on Knysna River
At Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa, they offer sunset cruises on the Knysna River towards Knysna Heads.
Nothing sets the tone better than having canapés and wine on the boat while riding into the ocean, with the light around you turning softer and your significant other by your side to take it all in with you. Talk about being romantic!
I already feel in love just writing about all these romantic things to do in South Africa.
So go on, take a break from the city and immerse yourself in the wild. Disconnect from the world with your significant other. It is simply achingly romantic to enjoy a glass of wine at sunset, cuddling and gazing into the nothingness of South Africa’s nature.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” color_overlay=”#ffffff” overlay_strength=”0.3″ enable_shape_divider=”true” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none” shape_type=”mountains”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_text_separator title=”Read other useful Africa posts!”][recent_posts style=”slider_multiple_visible” category=”africa” columns=”2″ button_color=”Accent-Color” hover_shadow_type=”default” order=”DESC” orderby=”modified” posts_per_page=”8″][vc_column_text][mailchimp][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
Why A South Africa Honeymoon Is A Must For Every Couple Throughout the whole month of October when I was in South Africa road tripping from the East to the West, I’ve stayed in various hotels, resorts and lodges, while experiencing activities iconic of the South African culture.
