Hi! I'm absolutely in love with your Mated to Mad Dogs story!! It's so good especially with the art you made. I was wondering though, since I didn't see anything pertaining to it on your blog, if it was ok to make fan art of your story? If not that's cool but it made me have the need to draw and my hand is shaking.

I would absolutely love some fan art. If anything it would spur me on to write more. I'm also glad you are enjoying the story so far. Especially since we haven't gotten anywhere near the real tear jerking parts. Spoilers? Perhaps.

something something, the fact that Dazai despises dogs and yet is so insistent on Chuuya being one.

he isn’t wrong: of all the animals out there, Chuuya has the traits so stereotypical of a mutt. he was always one, i think, from the moment he was experimented on. and if he wasn’t under Dr. N’s rancid hands, then he surely was once the Sheep got a hold of him. sure, he was called the King of the Sheep, but what is that other than their herding dog? a shepherd so loyal to his flock, that even when a blade got buried in his abdomen he still cared for them. in the manga, it’s implied that his choker is the Sheep’s signature bracelet repurposed. he moved it from one pulse point to another, changed it from the sign of belonging to a crowd to the sign of defending one with a bloody maw. it’s a collar now, strung tight.

it’s explicitly stated that Chuuya will forever care about others, no matter how much they have hurt him. in his heart, there will always be a place for those who have done nothing but mutilate his life. a kicked dog whose tail still wags.

and. Dazai hates dogs.

genuinely, he’s disgusted by them. he takes every chance to mock or insult them. yet, he immediately became so fixated on calling Chuuya his dog, framing him as this portrait of unending loyalty, littered with wounds and stained with viscera. Chuuya becomes the one Dazai trusts the most in his current world, so much so that four years apart doesn’t change a thing. they’re back at each other’s side, lives immediately in the other’s hands; one soul, two bodies. the ends of a dichotomy that hides an endless spectrum within.

within hours of meeting, Dazai had decided that Chuuya was a dog, a mutt. he has yet to be proven wrong, and he has yet to truly hate him. something something

aziraphale, the one who gave the first human exiles his flaming sword as both a source of protection and warmth, who did not look on them as sinners deserving of destruction but people entitled to the best chances possible, has never once looked at crowley, a heavenly exile, with anything other than compassion and a desire to protect. from their first meeting, he never wanted anything bad to happen to him. when crowley slithers up to him in eden, he treats him like an equal rather than an adversary. when crowley appears, his eyes fill with love and excitement, his gaze turns soft and hesitant, his whole body seizes with joy of seeing him. crowley might typically the one to seek him out, but aziraphale has always welcomed him home.

Dead Poets Society really is THE movie for anyone who has thought “I will never be like them when I’m an adult” because all the adults in the movie, bar Mr Keating, do is push unrealistic expectations onto kids like their rent is due. NONE of those kids have empathetic adults in their lives, but when Keating becomes their teacher, something changes. Even if they don’t like the class, they love Keating. He was the only adult they ever knew who respected them, treated them like real people, like what they wanted mattered.

My point is DPS is a gift to everyone who has ever been crushed under the weight of their families egos and rules and I hope we all had a teacher or a coach or any adult who treat us like we were real.

(The English teacher I had for 4 years was mine and he still keeps in touch with a few of us, when I saw him on the bud a month or so ago he looked at what I was reading and talked to me about it and my life and he’s the only teacher that looked at my art portfolio for university)
