Sapphires
Derived via the Latin “sapphirus” from the Greek “sappheiros”, which is referred as lapis lazuli; sapphire is a precious gemstone. Christians in the past even referred to the stone as “The Stone of Destiny”, and associated it with faith, hope, and destiny.
Sapphire is a stone that comes in many colors, with each symbolizing something different and some things the same. Any type of blue sapphire (ranges from light blue to dark royal blue) is one of the colors that is most desirable when it comes to the gem. This color represents confidence, truth, and sincerity. A lot of people put this color in necklaces. Black sapphire is for the people who suffer from anxiety and sorrow. It symbolizes confidence and wisdom. When it comes to artistic people, they want to look into the orange sapphire. This one oozes out the aura of creativity, sensuality, and spirituality. It helps bring forth the creative juices. Tourmaline
Emotional damage... broken-heart... or disruptive feelings... All of that can be healed away by this gemstone, tourmaline! This semi-precious gemstone is known to affect the emotional pain and negative feelings for the person that is wearing it, in a positive way. The aphrodisiac feeling that helps people feel the protection and healing from the stone is due to the use of infrared rays that penetrate the body. These infrared rays cause ions to oxidize your body, with no negative effects. That is why each color has a different healing effect on a person. Personally, my favorite tourmaline color pink (also rare), represents love of people, and is seen as a stone for healers. That it helps promote better attentive listening and carries unconditional love and friendship. The next color is watermelon (yes, it is pink and green). This color is for reconciliation. It is one that radiates energy for compassion, reaffirming one’s roots, and healing friendships. Blue is the next color. This one is used to ward off and protect the wearer from danger, as well as keeping them committed to their goals. Black tourmaline repels negative energy. Wear it in times of crisis or stress, as it will protect you until you have cultivated enough courage and stability to repel the bad juju on your own. The yellow tourmaline is promotes both physical and emotional well-being. But that is not all, it can be seen as a gemstone for an artist, because it helps to bring out creativity and mental clarity. Green tourmaline is an active type of compassion. The purpose of this stone is to help make connections with others and create beautiful things in life. It attracts nature spirits, herbalists, gardeners, and other people who have an affinity to the Earth in some way. Since it gives off courageous and joyous energy, it allows us to open up ourselves. That we joke at ourselves when we do something silly. Last is red tourmaline. This color unites the heart and body as one in love and passion. It builds up your wisdom and inner strength, which allows joy, emotional stability, and compassion to follow closely behind. Since these stones have many protection and healing properties, as well as a good color variation, and they are durable, they have become more of a rave in the ring market. It is used for a lot of promise rings and some engagement rings, due to the symbolism they represent.

Emerald
Have you ever thought you were fit to be a king or queen? If so, even without the actual title, you can feel like one with “The Jewel of Kings”. This jewel not only represents royalty, but also foresight, eloquence, and wit. It is a superior jewel and has been stated that they are more rare and more expensive than diamonds. These jewels get there green color from small amounts of chromium and vanadium. They are unlike other precious stones, as they can’t be found in a variety of other colors… they only are the color green, but their range of color hues is from a yellowish type of green to a dark jade color. Natural emeralds almost always, without a doubt include incursions within the gem. They are formed by natural gases, other minerals, liquids, and other debris that may get in the emeralds during the crystallization process. These incursions typically seen as features that are desirable, because they create amazing patterns (Jardin: incursion patterns). Due to this incursions, emeralds are treated with oils or resins to improve their quality and clarity. Emeralds are thought to have special qualities and meaning. They bring balance and harmony to those who wear them, as well as guard against memory loss and enhance intuition. People even believe that the emerald, when worn, can act as a special truth potion for lovers. It tells them if their lover’s promise was truthful or not. Also, just a fact about the emerald… in ancient folklore, it was said that whenever someone would put an emerald under their tongue, the person would gain the ability to see into the future. They are used in bracelets, necklaces, and rings. A lot of people have been using them in rings lately, because they are so expensive and it is unique to have an emerald ring. People have been showing them off as of late, to show that they are not following traditional engagement ring styles. Emeralds are also fashionable in anklets and bracelets, except the emerald is on the smaller size, and is not meant to pop out at people. The biggest emeralds are typically in the necklaces. As people can carry the heavier gems around their neck easier, and they can show them off to others easier.
