Posted @withregram • @layasthana "Whenever anyone utters with reverence the name of Babaji," Lahiri Mahasaya said, "that devotee attracts an instant spiritual blessing." No limiting facts about Babaji's family or birthplace, dear to the annalist's heart, have ever been discovered. He has adopted the simple name of Babaji (revered father); other titles of respect given him by Lahiri Mahasaya's disciples are Mahamuni Babaji Maharaj (supreme ecstatic saint), Maha Yogi (greatest of yogis), Trambak Baba and Shiva Baba (titles of avatars of Shiva). Does it matter that we know not the patronymic of an earth-released master? -Chapter 33 (Babaji, The Yogi-Christ Of Modern India) I had been desiring to paint an image of Mahavatar Babaji for several days. However; one, I had no idea how it’ll turn out. Two, I didn’t know if I had the courage to do it. And then exactly two days later after I made up my mind to go ahead, @aforarwind gets in touch with a request to create some artwork related to the great being. We were both equally surprised and ended up having a lengthy conversation. I could have easily shunned it away thinking it was a mere coincidence, but after this painting materialised today, I can safely say that it wasn’t. 🙏🏽 So blessed. Thank you @aforarwind for the nudge! #consciousness #nirvana #spirituality #digitalart #mahavatarbabaji #shiv #ishafoundation #isha #yoga #meditation #devi #paramahansayogananda #yogananda #procreate #god #kashi #varanasi #shiva #mahadeva #shambho #himalayas #instagramartists #instagramart #artistsoninstagram #sadhguru #kriyayoga #mahavatar https://www.instagram.com/p/CpsmuZASvxp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

"Do service only for the purification of oneself. Everything in future will improve if you are making a spiritual effort now. Remember that finding God will mean the funeral of all sorrows."
We prostrate at the lotus feet of Parapar Guru Jnanavatar Sri Yukteshwar Giri Ji on the auspicious occasion of His 165th earthly incarnation day.
He is an outstanding and unparalleled master of Kriya Yoga lineage. Highly introverted, extremely authoritarian, strict and breathtakingly awe-inspiring personality. One of the most advanced disciples of Yogiraj Sri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahasaya. He Acquired highest depth of wisdom and scriptural knowledge. He is the author of the marvelous book "The Holy Science" which He wrote as per the will of Mahavatar Sri Babaji Maharaj.
May we all be blessed and graced by the great spiritual master.

Immortal Master of KRIYA YOGA - MAHAVATAR BABAJI MAHARAJ·
🌹🌹🌹 ॐ क्रिया बाबाजी नमः ॐ 🌹🌹🌹
Mrityunjay Mahavatar Sri Babaji Maharaj (The Deathless Kriya Yoga Master believed to be Shiva's embodiment and of 2000 years of age) is the name given to an Indian saint by Sri Yogiraj Lahiri Mahasaya and several of his disciples who met Mahavatar Babaji between 1861 and 1935. Some of these meetings were described by Paramahansa Yogananda in his book Autobiography of a Yogi, including a first hand telling of Sri Yogananda’s own meeting with Mahavatar Babaji. Another first hand account was given by Sri Yukteswar Giri in his book The Holy Science. All of these accounts, along with additional meetings with Mahavatar Babaji, are described in various biographies of those mentioned by Sri Yogananda.
Mahavatar Babaji’s real name and date of birth are not known, so those who met him during that period all called him by the title first given to him by Yogiraj Lahiri Mahasaya. ‘Mahavatar’ means ‘Great Avatar’, and ‘Babaji’ simply means ‘reverred father’. Some of the encounters included two or more witnesses — discussions between those who met Mahavatar Babaji indicate that they all met the same person
.Legendary powers and age have been attributed to Mahavatar Babaji— by the disciples of Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahasaya, and by additional unconfirmed stories told in modern times. These stories have led many to believe that Mahavatar Babaji is a legendary person.
The ashram is situated near the temple town of Badrinath in an area surrounded by sheer rock cliffs on all four sides with a row of caves at their base. The largest cave belongs to Babaji. In a corner opposite this cave are two waterfalls. The residents of the ashram, use the largest waterfall for bathing and the smaller one for getting drinking water.
Even at night, though there is no visible light source, the whole area is well lit. A mysterious force keeps any one away from approaching the ashram closer than a mile. As a result, no one can reach the ashram without Babaji's permission.
Kriya Yoga sadhaks (practitioners) should understand that the "Heaven on earth" - "Gauri Shankar Peetham" exists not only in the Himalayas, but also within the hearts of Babaji's devotees....
Kriya Yoga is an ancient, secret, non-sectarian, universal and absolute scientific meditation technique based on the superior forms of 'mudras', 'pranayama' (breath regulation) and 'kumbhaka' (breath control). It is the fastest and safest process towards spiritual upliftment and Self-realization. Since time immemorial, the greatest Yogis all over the world have been practicing this supreme form of Yoga to attain the ultimate perfection. It is an experimentally and experientially proven and time-tested method to elevate the spiritual seekers and aspirants without any restriction of age, gender, religion, cast, creed and nationality.
The Sanskrit word "Kriya" can be divided into two root words - 'Kri' meaning 'action' and 'Ya' meaning 'Self'. Thus Kriya is the action guided by the Self, not by the ego, and hence it is the supreme action. One who practices it quickly progresses towards higher consciousness.
This is not a different type of Yoga, but a synthesis of all the different forms of Yoga - Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Mantra Yoga, Nada Yoga and Laya Yoga. The whole process is divided systematically into 6 stages and each stage contains specific techniques. Each of the techniques have been perfectly designed to contain the most essential parts of the different forms of Yoga. Earlier, only the highly advanced renunciate seekers used to get initiation into this form of Yoga, and they used to practice in secluded places. After their bodily liberation, gradually this royal science got lost its sight on Earth. In 1861, this supreme science of Yoga was again revived through Yogiraj Sri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahasaya as imparted to Him by His divine immortal Guru Mahavatar Babaji Maharaj. However this time it is specifically designed to uplift the householders. Though it is still a secret process, but the awareness has been spread all over the world.
Also as Kriya is purely based on scientific techniques, one must practice it under the strict supervision of the Guru who knows well all the intricacies of the process. If possible, a regular checkup of one's practice in front of Guru is also highly recommended to ensure proper progress. For practitioners who stay far away (in a different state or country), a regular contact with Guru (over mail or phone) is highly advisable. However, as Gurus are omnipresent, they can clearly see the level of practice of a practitioner irrespective of their location.
The practitioner of Kriya becomes free from all sorts of wrong addictions and mental afflictions. However, as affirmed by Lahiri Mahasaya, one who doesn't practice Kriya after initiation as per Guru's instruction is a sinner. So determination, commitment and regularity of practice is a must.
This page is lovingly dedicated to my Guru, the Immortal Masters of Kriya Yoga, their teachings, Kriya yoga, Third Eye, Dhyan (meditation), Pure Consciousness, Divinity & Supreme God....We welcome all types of spiritual groups to pray with us so that the Universal Unconditional love & friendship can be spread all over the world. We wish to guide those people, who want to learn more about - THE SECRETS OF IMMORTALITY.
