Things I need to sort out before I go to Spain.

Pretty boring admin post, but these are just a few of the things that I need to sort out before I get on my plane and go to Spain!

1) Passport. I think this is important because without this, I won't be able to leave the country.

2) ICPC. International Child Protection Certificate. This basically proves that I'm not a pedophile. :D It's like the international version of a CRB

3) My flights. This is going to be a fun one. I'm not exactly sure when my placement starts, but I know that there are all sorts of things going on in the few weeks before I start my placement, so I want to get out there sooner rather than later. Middle/end of September. 

4)EHIC - European Health Insurance Card. This means that I can get treated for medical care over there, rather than having to pay a tonne of money for emergency care.

5)My permisa de residencia - Permit to live. You can stay in a country on your passport alone for 90 days, but you need to have a residency permit to stay longer. 

6) Find somewhere to live - This could be something that I sort out when I finally get to Spain, rather than over here, as I still don't know where in Madrid I'm going to be teaching. 

7) Sort out some school materials - this will be based upon what sort of age I'm teaching, rather than something I can just make up. But I think if I do a couple of collages about where I live, where I'm from, what my life in London is like, that will be quite interesting for these children :)

This is all so very exciting, once I have the paperwork out the way, I'll be able to really throw myself into having a fab time!!!
