Ten years ago now, I was cosplaying Madoka. It feels like an eternity away now, but this was my first big cosplay project, and my sister (Kyubey) helped me learned the ropes at the time, showing me how to do bias tape, how to use worbla, how to make custom patterns from scratch, and bunch of other little things I wasn't super familiar with. She walked me through the Masquerade process (and while I'm super proud I went on stage I realized it was Not My Thing.) To this day we still teach each other new techniques we pick up! I had done a few other costumes before this one, but this is where I seriously fell in love with the sewing aspect of the hobby. Still going strong today!
