Dissonance Poisoning.

something something Project: Nexus succeeds and causes a catastrophic, Nuclear level event across Nevada. Few survive, those who do are slowly killed to Dissonance exposure. Showing symptoms similar to Radiation Poisoning. Alongside the mind, body, and reality altering affects of Dissonance. -Sanford and Deimos died soon after their injuries/exposure. Their injuries oddly reminiscent of their time in The Other Place. Leaving their last moments in pain and distress as their senses rotted away. -Tricky survived due to the Improbability Drive, but now is extremely "irradiated" and should be avoided. His form now resembling his MC7 look. Constantly drooling a mix between blood and Dissonance and his organs have since fallen out due to general organ failure and rotting. His lower jaw is barely hanging on. -Hank also died soon after his exposure, but gained the more "reality altering" affects. His behavior and appearance irregular. Looking more like soot and char, combined with the glowy features seen in Lamenters. He eventually collapsed due to organ failure and muscle atrophy. -Doc managed to get his hands on the Keystone Fragment not long before the event. Using it resulted in him gaining a bit of "immunity" to the affects of Dissonance Poisoning. While in reality it slows the symptoms and keeps his body from failing, but does not subside the affects it has on the mind. He is currently the only known survivor besides Tricky and is hellbent on looking for his Crews bodies. Only god knows why.

OKAY ANYWAYS i like my au alot so i wanna post about ittt you knowww. just to slightly infodump i guess, tricky is role-swapped with deimos and hank is role-swapped with sanford (oh wait its a roleswap au did i mention that XD) ill blab a bit more under cut i guess

i cannot wait to draw deimos and sanford n stuff but everything has been kicking my ass so i don't really have the time to draw much quality stuff anymore.. but i just wanna talk about my au so bad because i recently started fixating on madcom again

hank and trickys dynamic wouldn't really be similar to how deimos and sanfords was in the actual series, they're more so just allies than friends since hank is a pissy bitch here XD but tricky is basically braindead due to a botched revival and is a very forgetful and naive

It's me. And it's Madness Combat.

I'm wayyy too excited to show this to the internet, since the first time I did show the AU was in 2021 and.... you could say it was lacking in many details. I may have forgotten to add some information, but they're the least important things so here's all of those things in one post!

Ever wondered how much I've changed this AU after almost three years? It's a LOT of things. First of all, I made them from "Wyrms" into zilogytes, a cobra-like species of wormbugs that feed off of code in the Madness Combat world. And I redesigned them to be a bit more unique compared to a grunt, and then readjusted the story so it's not too outlandishly different other than adding hollow code-eaters and making three characters into brothers for some reason.

I will explain more about their species in another time, but I'm also a bit too tired to explain about the characters themselves because the AU is still a WIP believe it or not!
