Fine. I’ll jump on this. Hope y'all like DILF and GILF content.
fully exposed electronics, like the actual circuitry, that's high art. that's the appreciation of nudity. it's bold and brazen and yes, a bit horny.
translucent shells and casing ? girl that's lingerie, that's seduction and teasing. little bits of exposed wires and recessed reset switches, being able to see almost everything....that's more than "a bit" horny

Y'ever just think... wow... that's too many computers?
I have seven, not including my tablets.
Five of them are laptops.
Two of those laptops are Macs -- my current Mac laptop (an M2 Macbook Air) which I use every day, and my old laptop (a late-2011 13" MacBook Pro) which after some upgrades (and the removal of its spicy pillow battery years ago) currently runs as a backup server, print server, and network drive.
Then there are the three HP laptops.
One of them I technically don't own, as it's my work machine. It's just running Windows 10 -- nothing special -- and it works. Then I have my two fuckaround machines -- a 15 year old 17" 'desktop replacement' that originally ran Vista but currently runs Linux Mint (and we used for years as the registration computer at No Brand Con). Then I have a 14" laptop that's "current" (in the sense that you can buy it right now for less than $200 at Walmart) that I got for free -- which dual boots into Linux Mint and Windows 11.
And then there are the non-laptops -- my M1 Mac Mini (my primary production workstation for art and podcasts) and my non-laptop fuckaround machine -- a Raspberry Pi 400 running Raspberry Pi OS.
And I was realizing today... is that too many? That might be too many.

I hadn't used my 2011 MacBook Pro in a few months because the battery died, and my cat chewed through the cable. I bought a replacement cable for Christmas and booted it up. For some reason, after sitting OFF for a few months, Zorin OS shit the bed and kept throwing update errors at me. So I relented and re-installed it from scratch. I decided to leave the dGPU active this time, to just see, and... somehow everything worked worse on the more powerful AMD dGPU???
Night Light wouldn't work, and the UI was so laggy it wasn't even funny. Not to mention how hot the machine would get at idle. It wasn't fun. I couldn't watch YouTube; I couldn't use LibreOffice; I could even swap desktops with the three-finger GNOME gesture without the entire system lagging. As a last ditch attempt, I used a GRUB Edit to deactivate the AMD dGPU.
And now... everything* is perfect. The laptop is quick and snappy, it uses, like, 2GB less of RAM for some reason, and Night Light even works. The thermal issues are also gone. Somehow, with a less powerful Intel iGPU... Zorin OS runs better now.
Idk. Linux is weird. At least it works. I'm not fucking around with it anymore.
*For some reason sleep doesn't work properly anymore. When I shut the lid, the display turns off, but when I open it back up, I'm not prompted with a password screen. Idk, and idc. I'm not bothering with it. Nobody's gonna snoop through my shit, anyway.

Which app do you use for your drawings? And do you use special brushes?
I love your style soo so much. So easy (in a good way) and so full of emotion. You really have a talent for keeping it simple and focus on the important things.
Also your Sirius reminds me so much of flynn riders idk I love it
💌
Thank you!
For the last couple of months, I’ve been using my iPad Air + Procreate, but this is a very recent development. I bought a “paper feel” screen protector because the screen is too slippery, and I don’t feel like I have enough control without it. Truthfully, I use it because I can slouch like a little gremlin and draw in a comfy chair. I think I need a different nib for my Apple pencil, though, because I still don’t feel like I have control or that my lines are going where I want (could also just be practice). BUT! You can see my progress with the iPad from this to this in a couple of months. So it’s also very probably practice!
Otherwise, I’ve been using a Wacom Intuous Pro (the lil guy) with my 13” Macbook for years and years + Photoshop.
My go-to brushes are Kyle T. Webster’s and an ancieeeeeeeeeeeeeent brush set from a Deviantart artist called Thundercake. And when I say ancient, I mean I downloaded these in 2011 and have these brushes saved in multiple places so I don’t lose them; I mostly use these for painting.
HOWEVER, I only JUST remembered to fuckin, like, import my Photoshop brushes to Procreate, so I’ve been using the default Procreate brushes lately. Literally halfway through coloring the mustache dadfoot drawing did I remember that I didn’t have to suffer like this 🙄
Anyway, hope that helps. I need a LOT of control and it takes me forEVER to get things the way that I want. The “easier” and more simplistic the drawing is, it means it probably took me hours. (I’m not a professional so efficiency is not a priority—in fact, I like taking my time!).
OH! And I just remembered that Procreate has a playback button, so enjoy four minutes of me drawing that last Sirius. Watch me redraw the same arm eighty fucking times lol

Thanks to my own tendency to hoard hardware, and a little help from some friends, I have confirmed that the Amadeus: A Riddle for Thee demo runs smoothly on:
A Win7 Dell laptop from 2011 with 4GB RAM
Win10 Desktop PC with dedicated GPU that was a really solid build in 2016 and is still quite serviceable for most needs
MacOS Mojave on a MacBook Pro Intel 2015
MacOS Big Sur on a MacBook Air M1 2020
every other MacOS/Windows computer people have tested on so far
I'm currently working on a Linux build to have another friend test that, but from that Win7 laptop alone I think it's pretty safe to say that this should run on just about anything. The application window is fully resizeable for any screen size, and the game will always render the 4:3 gameplay correctly with black bars on the side as needed. It can also be expanded to fullscreen.
I'm very excited about this. I love the thought of people playing this game on the same old computers that have been used to play the early-mid 2000s VN's that inspired it!
#I am so beyond pleased that it runs perfectly well on that old 2011 Win7 laptop#that was my benchmark for 'it's not going to run on this but imagine if it does'#AND LO#amadeus game#system requirements#teaser

There's something really cool about holding a testfitted part of something you have as a 3d model in your cad program.
This is part of the hinge mechanism for the Kitbashtop, mostly just a test for now to see if the ideas I had actually work as intended and I'd say it's looking promising!
This is using the spring dampened hinges out of a 17 inch 2011 macbook meaning with this step I've successfully added another large company's parts to this project and the kitbashtop continues to get more kit bashed :)
Speakers from a microsoft surface, mainboard from a thinkpad p16s, hinge from a macbook pro. Wish I could have a touchscreen assembly from another company but eDP is already a ballache and adding proprietary interfaces to this build will increase the cost and time investment massively without really any advantages.
#raven rambles#my stuff#kitbashtop shenanigans#yes I know the holes are crooked yes there's other issues present I just wanted to test things so I eyeballed shit

Thank you @charmingmushroom for tagging me in this! I'm honestly excited to get to my answers because I loved yours so much! To anyone I tag, please don't feel pressure to complete this, especially if you have already been tagged, or honestly just don't want to! 💜 I tag @ohthesefaces, @kissalopa, @theworstsimblr, @simsdada, @igglemouse, @faeriefrolic, @lunelfy, @dragonplumbobs All of my answers are under the cut!
What’s your favorite sims death? This is a hard one for me, honestly, because I usually play with aging off because I don't want to deal with my Sims dying. Much like @charmingmushroom said about cowplants being a classic, I gotta say, I love that and death by meteor. I'm so glad that finally came back into the Sims 4 with the normal-sized telescope!
Alpha CC or Maxis Match? It depends on the version of Sims I'm playing! If it's Sims 4, I love the big, round, clay-looking CC. If it's Sims 3, I want the sharper, thinner, structured style of CC. I would say that Sims 2 is kind of in the middle of both styles. So honestly, I just try to match the aesthetics of the world and game around my Sims.
Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? Not at all! I try to match their lifestyle and character choices.
Do you use move objects? Oh yeah. I honestly couldn't play without it.
Favorite mod? More columns in CAS. It took me way too long to get on this train, but the more berry palettes I collected, the more out of control my hair and eyebrow swatches got. And as a tie for second, I absolutely could not play without brntwaffles' SweetFx or softerhaze's Sunblind in my game.
First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? So… I'm one of the people that got Sims 4 a few months after its launch. At the time, I was playing on a 2011 MacBook Pro, not made for gaming, and I was desperately playing The Sims 3 in Windowed Mode and restarting every 30 minutes to avoid crashing. If you guys know anything about Sims 3 and Macs, they were not made to go together. It was a whole thing. I've gotten the packs as they come out in order, which the exception of kits and Journey to Batuu. (I have that now, but I waited for a 1/2 off sale.) So my first was Outdoor Retreat, which is still one of my faves!
Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? I used to always pronounce it like aLIVE mode, but since Sims Youtube blew up, I now say LIVing mode out of habit of what I hear.
Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? At this time, Mentha from my Not So Berry (But Berry) challenge. This happened in the first version of her that I wasn't documenting before I lost my saves because of some of the updates, but after she made her freeze-ray, she walked up behind a coworker who was sitting and had no idea she was there, pointed the ray and whispered, "Dag-dag". Literally the highlight of my gameplay. She is WILD. I hope she does more things like this in this iteration of her!
Have you made a simself? I have! And I update her regularly. She's always a Witch or a Spellcaster, too! I'm planning to take some pictures of her and my wife's (@ohthesefaces) simselves for Pride this month! 💜 They're some of my favorite private gameplay that I have!
What sim traits did you give yourself? I also have a Simself in Sims 3, so I've got a few different traits. Sims 3: Neurotic, Light Sleeper, Loves the Cold, Avant Garde, Green Thumb Sims 4: Art Lover, Perfectionist, Squeamish It's a lot harder in Sims 4 with only three trait slots to start with.
What is your favorite EA hair color? cheese hair. Classic, iconic, weird. I love it!
Favorite EA hair? Honestly, this is tough for me because some of my favorite hairs are not EA. Shoutout to ClumsyAlien and Miiko who make CC I can't play without! But I have to say some of the updated Afro-textured hairs. Since I had Sims 4 when it first came out, not only were the options for Afro-textured hair basically non-existent, but they were carelessly made. Over the years, since they've gone in and redone some of those earlier textures and worked with creators to make new ones, I've really appreciated having those in my game. Guys, it wasn't always like this. lmao
Favorite life stage? I hate to be that guy since Sims 4 is basically a Young Adult simulator, but like, Young Adult. I'm closing in on the Adult life stage of my own life, and it's scary.
Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? When I first had Sims 4, and because I played on Mac and was trying to limit my CC (aka, play CC free), I was strictly a builder. I didn't play as much as I built, but now that I have a PC and the space for my 50GB of CC (yes, that's right), I play too! And honestly, I don't even have lag. A lot of it is recolors, and I have limited actual mods, so my game runs beautifully still! I have really been into renovating EA lots lately, though.
Are you a CC creator? no. I wish, though. It's something I feel like I could get into, I just haven't put in all the extra effort to learn how to do it.
Do you have any simblr friends/a sim squad? I don't think I do--no disrespect to anyone who thinks otherwise! I just feel very new, still, and on the outside. Thank you again to @charmingmushroom for tagging me in something like this! It's so much fun and gives me warm fuzzies! 💜
What’s your favorite game? This is a huge category for me because I play a lot of other things besides The Sims! I'll just list some of my current favorites in no particular order that are part of my rotation right now. The Sims (obviously, and if we're talking strictly gameplay, it's Sims 2 all day, baby), No Man's Sky, Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, Stardew Valley, Skyrim, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Sims Medieval.
Do you have any Sims merch? I do, actually. I have a print from the game that I still haven't found the right frame for that my wife, @ohthesefaces, got for me for my birthday one year!
Do you have a YouTube for sims? No! I don't think I would be entertaining enough, tbh. And my god, how horrible would it be to hear my own voice??
How has your “sim style” changed throughout your years of playing? Since my CC explosion in the Sims 4, I've really gotten into Berry Sims! I can't believe I didn't know about it before when I played the Sims 3, but I wasn't on the Simblr side of Tumblr.
What’s your Origin ID? Pass on this, as I share it with my household.
Who’s your favorite CC creator? I have WAY too many, but there are definitely some I couldn't live without. I mentioned the lighting and overall color correction mods I play with earlier, but for some of the CC, I 100% always need tainoodles Sorbet Remix, anything and everything by miiko, anything and everything by clumsyalien, anything and everything by teekalu, anything and everything by treefish, and honestly, so many more that I can't think of right now. But those come to my head right away!
How long have you had a simblr? Only since August of 2022, but I've been on Tumblr since 2010. My other Tumblr is just art aesthetic though.
How do you edit your pictures? I don't have or use reshade/gshade, so all of my editing is done manually with the strong arms done by SweetFx and Sunblind. But I'm currently obsessed with Kaleeko's Clean & Clear, and early-grape's Glowe Kit.
What expansion/game/stuff pack is your favorite so far? I'll do one from each. EP: Get To Work. I love the active careers, ESPECIALLY the Scientist Career. Plus, aliens, helloooo. GP: Though I'm an Occult simmer, I have to say StrangerVille is by far my favorite. I love the storyline and having the tasks to do! Like most things with Sims 4, I only wish there were more. SP: Paranormal, hands down. With Tiny Living as a close second. They really nailed it with both of these Stuff packs and they were only $10?! As insane as them giving away Desert Luxe for free, honestly. Kit: Pastel Pop, 100%. That pack was made for me and I use everything from it way too often.
What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next? Give me Faeries and/or give me Futuristic. But whatever they give me, please just give me gameplay.

OK, I’m gobsmacked.
After about a year of dithering about this, I reinstalled Sims 3 1.67 from scratch the pirate way, with some tips from @ktarsims.
(I find it darkly amusing that I’m installing an illegally cracked version of software that I own legally but can’t install because EA wiped the pre-Origin digital installers from the Internet. I’m pretty sure that’s not actually piracy. LOL.)
I have a weird setup, though, because I’m a Mac user. I run Windows 10 in a virtual machine using Parallels, and I run Sims 3 from there. I’ve been doing that since about 2011, since the official Mac version of the game never even got a long addresses upgrade. I’m proud of my setup. I use Smooth Patch and frame rate limiting and NRaas -- I have my game running pretty snappy for Sims 3, much faster and more reliably than it did when it was actually in EA’s support window.
The problem is that I’m running a 2019 Macbook Pro, and that’s the absolute last Mac release to have an Intel processor. Parallels now supports a Windows virtual machine for Apple Silicon, but you can’t port over an existing machine built on an Intel device. If I ever want to upgrade my machine, I have to reinstall from scratch, and I *can’t* do that an stay on 1.67. I figured I’d have to just go on to 1.70, which is hardly the end of the world. I just don’t want to do it.
At any rate, as an experiment, I just installed the entire Games4theWorld archive on a “wine bottle” using CodeWeavers Crossover, just to see if it would work.
Hoooooooly crap.
Not only does it work, it runs about 4x faster and completely smoothly!
Even my medieval save with its laundry list of mods and cc!
With the entire store installed!
It doesn’t even have Smooth Patch!
Or the menu sort fix!
(I’m guessing that Crossover might do something with frame rate.)
Moreover, the colors are more vibrant.
I don’t know what to say. OK, maybe I do. I can’t stop talking.
The only stupid downside is that I don’t seem to be able to run windowed mode at 4:3 aspect ratio, which is what I have always done because the size of screenshots everywhere is pretty much determined by their width. The only value I get for screenshotting widescreen is that my pics are smaller. The game is capable of running at that aspect ratio, but Options only offers me the ability to select screen resolutions that match the aspect ratio of my actual monitor, which is 10:6. I wonder if there’s some way to edit options.ini to make it do what I want. Probably. I’ll have to play.
But seriously. I have to PLAY for a while.
Please, Watcher of Watchers, let it be as stable as it looked in my tests. Don’t taunt me and then make everything crash. Pleeeeeease.
ETA: It was NOT stable. SOB.

My whole thing about Apple’s “revolutionary” new battery adhesive is… why do we need adhesive in the first place?
My 2011 MacBook has a battery that’s screwed in. Admittedly, this device is THICC and has a big ass battery, but I just feel like there’s no reason we can’t encase smart phone batteries in metal or hard plastic and screw them into place, rather than using adhesives.
Apple’s conductive adhesive in the 16 (Plus), and the metal battery case in the 16 Pro are neat… but I’m still sat here wondering why we need to glue in batteries at all.
It can’t be that hard to securely screw one in. After all, small, more complicated parts are screwed into phones. I just don’t get it.
And don’t even get me started on laptop makers gluing their batteries in, these days.

Dia wanti-wanti, lain kali kalo beli pake rekber hahaha.
