Mmkay, I haven’t been very active on this Loki-themed Tumblr for a while, and a lot of my old mutual Loki stans have drifted away, but I’m putting this out there just in case someone might still be interested.

The MSU Loki was totally misused and misunderstood, from about Ragnarok on. This character had SO much potential and so much depth to explore—and yet, even when they finally gave him his own show, it wasn’t really about him. It didn’t delve into why he had become who he was. It didn’t address the unanswered questions about him—who was his birth mother? What happened to him in the void? What did Thanos do to him after that? How did he live over 1,000 years and never find out he was a frost giant? All kinds of rich opportunities were just ignored, and Loki was never done justice.

So, I’m writing this story about Loki set around 823 A.D., before the events of the MCU, so I can explore some of those questions about who Loki is. I want his perspective on his family—a father who tells him his “birthright was to die” and banishes him to life imprisonment for crimes he himself had committed in the past; a mother who ostensibly loves him, but allows him to endure the father’s emotional abuse from childhood; the brother who treats him as an inferior for a thousand years and then wonders why Loki is so mad.

I’ve been creating and editing AI images to help tell the story, so it reads sort of like a storyboard. It uses title cards for dialogue, like a silent film. And I want to post some of this stuff here as sort of a preview, and also sort of a test run. Does this weird format even work?

The following are shots I’ve randomly pulled from the story at various points, so they won’t make sense in a linear way. I just want to put them out there. I would very much appreciate feedback/notes/constructive criticism on any of this!

If He Be Worthy...

I was always skeptical about the spell Odin put on Mjolnir. Worthiness is such a vague word and the concept differs for each individual. And so Odin's idea of worthiness made it even more suspicious in my opinion.

Ragnarok made me think about it again. Hela grabbed the hammer in the air, stopped it, held it in her hand. You can clearly see there is a battle going on between Thor and Hela for claiming the hammer. Thor tries to call it back and it doesn't come. And then Hela destroys it. So why Mjolnir deemed Hela worthy?

Remember in AoU, avengers tried to lift the hammer? Remember Tony's opinion: “The handle’s imprinted right? Like a security code. Whosoever is carrying Thor’s fingerprints, is I think the literal translation.”

I think he is not far from the truth.

Let's see the symbol of the spell in first Thor movie:

Familiar, isn't it?

It is safe to say, it's a symbol that is heavily associated with Odin. On the paintings it is on top of Odin's figure. In the vault, it is the place that Odin sealed it. Therefore if there is a spell involved, it only works for the people who are part of his bloodline. Meaning only they can break past the spell. Thor and Hela can lift Mjolnir. Hela breaking the seal.

The hammer only came to Thor after he was literally about to die. Before that we see Odin's tear in his sleep. I think it was always in his control when Thor can have his powers back, not the hammer. Because the hammer could come to him the moment he decided to face the destroyer alone and defenseless and sacrifice his life. Because it is the state of mind and personality of a person that makes someone worthy, the acceptance and readiness for a sacrifice, not dying.

Furthermore, if Thor's power was bound to Mjolnir as the spell vaguely suggest, Thor had to lose them when the hammer was destroyed. And I think Thor thought the same and it was one of the important reasons that he couldn't use them right away. He doubted himself, thought he was unworthy and his power was bound to the hammer. Only after visions of Odin, and after learning the truth he was able to find himself and his power again.

My theory also explains why Loki couldn't lift the hammer. Odin didn't want him to and he wasn't of Odin's bloodline. Because if we want to consider the vague concept of worthiness, Loki isn't better or worse than any one of them. He can even be considered better than Odin and Hela.

I know what you're thinking. What about Vision? Well, remember this?

Thor was directly involved in bringing Vision to life. I think this electricity was part of Thor's power and therefore magical. As a result, Vision kind of carries Thor's signature with himself. So Mjolnir recognized him as someone in Odin's bloodline.

In conclusion it wasn't worthiness. It was a trick and again a lie told by Odin to control his child. Mjolnir used as a tool by Hela. Hela knew her power came from Asgard and herself and she rebelled against Odin. So with Thor, Odin didn't tell him that his power came from Asgard(Valkyrie told this to Thor) and Thor himself. He made Thor dependent on his hammer to control him through it. More proof of Odin’s terrible personality and parenting.

P.s. The symbol is actually called Triquetra . It is also similar to Horn Triskelion and Valknut . If you are interested in norse mythology and symbolism you can find information about them in the links.

I think the MSU itself is largely to blame for the fact that many fans are disappointed with the show. Their teasers and trailers promised something completely different. Jaws, time travel, Pompeii and the pyramids, King Loki in Asgard, JB Cooper. This turned out not to be the case at all, and many felt disappointed.

Have MSU fans not watched any other MCU trailers before? If you're basing your expectations on the trailer, you really need to re-assess.

Also, Jaws not in a trailer, was merely an investor's drawing that got expanded by -- get this -- clickbait sites. Please stop relying on them. They're just guessing, not insiders.

The King Loki scene was there until late in the edit, too.

So no, the MCU isn't to blame. The fans are to blame for expecting 100% of the trailers and believing clickbait sites.

I agree with you and the anons. The MSU said that Loki would travel in time and interfere with historical events. And I was waiting for historical eras, different events and Tom in historical costumes. But this is not at all. But I'm not disappointed, I'm not a fan of Loki, and I don't care. The main thing for me is that I see Tom every Wednesday and a lot of his content. I already got more than I dreamed. I just hope that this show will give a huge boost to his career and Tom will not miss it.

Michele returned to TV to compete on The Challenge season 37. While she might not have achieved the success she has claimed in previous contests, she left her mark on the high-stakes reality series. From her rise to competitive TV stardom to her off-camera reality, here’s everything there is to know about Michele.

Michele recently returned for another round of reality competition on The Challenge season 37. Unlike her previous experiences on TV, Michele was not able to evade elimination on The Challenge. In episode 4, Michele was outed from the series, along with her partner, 12 Dates of Christmas‘ Corey Lay. Michele didn’t take the loss too hard, however, as she tweeted, “Ya win some, ya lose some” in response to the end of her journey on The Challenge season 37.

Michele was born on May 5, 1990, in Freehold, New Jersey. Michele’s birthday means that she’s 31 years old and has a Taurus Sun sign. Michele grew up with her sisters, Kim, her brother, Joe, and her parents, Ralph and Linda Fitzgerald. According to LinkedIn, Michele embarked on her education at Montclair State University in 2011. In addition to studying at MSU, Michele worked as a public relations specialist for the university. Michele graduated from Montclair State in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and media studies. After college, the Survivor winner Michele worked as a sales associate in Martha’s Vineyard at Island Company, a resort clothing brand. Michele also worked as a caterer in her New Jersey hometown in the years after graduation.

Just before she took on Survivor season 32, Michele was a travel consultant at Liberty Travel. In 2015, however, Michele’s life changed drastically. Michele was cast as 1 of 18 cast members to star on Survivor: Kaôh Rōng. This season of the reality competition series went by the themes, “Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty,” and Michele was designated the Beauty label. At first, Michele was underestimated by her Brain and Brawn competitors. Michele was seen as weak and not a threat to her competitors initially, but she developed to be a major threat to her contenders as the season unfolded. Even as she was in the top three, Michele wasn’t an obvious Survivor winner. After getting kicked off of the jury by Michele, Neal Gottlieb shared he didn’t think Michele had a chance to win and compared her to a “little puppy, still suckling at the teat.” 

Neal was swiftly proven wrong when Michele earned the most votes from the jury and became the first Survivor winner born in the 1990s. After winning Survivor: Kaôh Rōng, Michele returned for Survivor: Winners At War. Michele proved her prowess, as she was fundamental in the elimination of former Survivor victors Danni Boatwright and Ethan Zohn. Michele made it to the end of the competition with the help of her ally, Natalie Anderson, who won the final immunity challenge of the season. Ultimately, Michele didn’t receive any votes to win Winners At War, as her great competitor Tony Vlachos did. Although she didn’t win, Michele became the first Survivor contestant to take part in multiple seasons, win, and never get voted out.

Since Survivor, Michele has embarked on a career as a business development manager with Palace Resorts. Michele is one of the most successful reality TV competitors of all time, as exhibited by her record-breaking achievements on Survivor. Although she didn’t succeed in The Challenge, it’s very likely television hasn’t seen the last of Michele.

Well what a coinkydink, I love you too so much. I forgot i wanted to say that I watch and read so many interviews where tom and I have similar opinions on stuff and I love that we would be able to connect on a spiritual level about stuff we would talk about and agree on irl. Also if you wanted I'd love to hear about stuff behind the scenes of your other movies. I'll watch stuff thats a little fucked up because judging by your choice to do crimson peak with all it's hot incest coupled with your usual brand of cultured existential angst and a particular interview, I presume you are also into it, like I would love to watch a cure for wellness with you (hi Jason Isaacs ilu 2). We can talk about divorce and family drama because even though my family is fucking ridiculous and has been married for 40 plus god damn years I know from first hand experience that that doesnt rid you of lifelong family ptsd and I know lots of people with divorced parents who are very vocal about how it was growing up besides.
