I am braving the world of Getting My Medical Shit Figured Out again after being on hiatus because I was very done with that shit and decided to procrastinate.

Turns out it's not that my top surgery letter of rec is out of date (although that is a problem) or that they never received my letter of rec, it's that they lost my entire fucking referral. Somebody has been fucking lying to me because I called the surgery place last time I was dealing with this and they said they saw my referral but needed the letter to schedule me and I called the therapy place and they said they didn't have a letter of rec on file (although that turned out to also be a lie). I called the surgery place just now and they said that they saw the letter of rec but that there was no referral, but if the referral got sent through official channels it likely got lost because that shit has been a mess since COVID and that my doctor should probably just fax the letter of rec directly to the office and bypass official channels (which is bullshit).

I called my doctor to see if I could get a new referral sent, and the front desk person forwarded me to referrals, which immediately told me to leave a message, so hopefully I hear back soon. I could also just schedule an appointment with my doctor and talk to her directly, but I don't want to schedule like two appointments in two months because I need to schedule an appointment with her late May after I figure out if I can get my meds and shit transfered to a different doctor for after graduation. (All of my current doctor/therapy stuff is at university because I can't get to my home doctors. However, since I haven't seen my home primary care doctor since high school, I'm technically not a patient of his anymore and I have to go through the whole intake process again, if they're even accepting new patients at the moment. If not, I gotta find someone else who's in network -- which is a whole nother clusterfuck because my insurance status is not certain at the moment -- who is also accepting new patients and go through their whole patient intake bullshit.)

I remember now why I was procrastinating on all of this bullshit.
