I, uh— I- Uhm, w-well then, uh—“ This was, perhaps, by far, maybe and most definitely one of the best days of his entire life. God, he could probably run around the Arc de Triomphe hundreds of times over screaming it to the world if he so pleased. But for the moment, he was simply melting into a puddle in his own seat, snickering to himself through a bitten lip like some giddy schoolgirl. “—That’s really- I mean, uhm— That’s h-highly unnecessary, Claudia— I, erm—“

And I didn't have the energy to comment on each individual page (& was not willing to pause my reading enough to do so) so I'll just write my glowing review publicly here, so it can also second as a recommendation. Because everyone should read this comic.

nobody answer this for me i know how to add the word “wikipedia” to my google search but i greatly enjoy the fact that in my attempt to translate the “FTM” in yuta’s bio i ended up on a google search for “mets phillies” and while there are many mentions of sports words like “game” “division” “results” and the abbreviation “MLB” which i assume is some sort of tournament, there is zero mention of what sport these teams play ANYWHERE in the previews of the results on the first page of my google search

Adrien wondered when Felix would break first. Would it be getting drugged his first week, or locked in a closet during mealtimes?

Or maybe Felix wouldn't even have the mercy of the Design Expo lulling him into a false sense of security—if the railings saving him from the crowds would break again and Felix would be swarmed.

Adrien would love to watch history repeat itself, now from the outside. To watch the fear in Felix's eyes when he saw the road to fame was paved with brimstone... and then again, when Felix realized just how badly fear was punished in this house.

"Pretend to be his son all you like," Adrien snarled back. "But don't come crawling back to me once he starts treating you like it."

Adrien was still in bed when Marinette arrived. For a second, she thought he was still asleep, but as she circled around it was clear his eyes were wide open. 

“Hey,” she greeted softly. 

“Hey,” he croaked back. 

“You okay?” 

He shook his head, and then his eyes turned glassy and he turned away. 

She sat on the bed beside him and let her fingers card through his hair. 

“What’s going on?” 

“I wanted to bake you something, but I didn’t have all the ingredients. I went to the store, but… before I went in, someone recognized me.

She winced. “As a model or as Hawkmoth’s son?” 

“Take a guess,” he mumbled into his pillow. 

She sighed. It had to be the latter for him to be taking it this hard. “Do you want to talk about it?” 

He shook his head. 

“What if we dyed your hair?” Marinette suggested. 

He turned towards her with one eye peaked open. “What?”

“It probably won’t protect you completely, but if you dyed your hair and wore those big dark sunglasses anytime you went out, I bet a lot fewer people would recognize you. At least for a while.”

He rolled over and sat up, with her quilt pooled around his waist. “Could we dye it red?” 

She studied his face and hair. “You could probably pull off a natural red-head with those green eyes.” 

He shook his head. “No, I want deep bright red. Maybe with black tips?” 

She laughed. “You mean like Ladybug?”

“Yes,” he said seriously. 

And she had to swallow a sudden brick in her throat.

“I mean, we could. But if you’re trying not to be noticed, bright red with black spots is probably not the way to go.”

She would know. 

“True, but it’s more like hiding in plain sight. Who would think that Hawkmoth’s son would be dressing up in support of Ladybug?!”

"Yeah." Ismael sits by Cosette and gives them a little nudge with his elbow. "And after you win and move on to the next round, we'll stop by your place and rub it in Yvette and Jordyn's dumb faces. We'll be like, 'Hey! Check it out! Your sister fucking won the stupid, pointless game show you nominated her for because you're assholes who wanted to see her fail!' How does that sound?"

"... Pretty damn good."

"Of course it is! But real talk, though, first, you gotta learn to groan right if you're gonna be all mopey."

"Hey, it groans fine," Denise chides.

Ismael shrugs. "It just sounds weird."

"Uuuuugh. How was that?" They can almost hear her smirking.

"So you groan, then, Ismael," Jean snickers, playing along. "If you're so good at it." "Aaaaagh." Aurore arches an eyebrow. "That's a groan?" "Yeah. Aaaaagh." Deciding to join, Marc steps in. "I'll do it. Let me do it. Uuuuuugh..."
