Horikoshi didn’t write 431, his team did. The last chapter he wrote was 430 about the manga that impulsed his career and dedicated 10 years of his life.

Wouldn’t it make sense that he would draw the last chapter as it is the most important one of the whole series? Why would you have anyone else than you drawing it? And why does it look like he didn’t even revise it? ( cause horikoshi is very careful with the details and cmon dekus scar missing and ochako holding things with her hands all the time???? Font inconsistency????) it looks like he didn’t even read it tbh

What I’m saying now is that it doesn’t even look like horikoshi cared at all about the “ending”. However, we bkdk shipers also cope with not canon material to prove that they’re canon, like the novels, movies, extra chapters.

So in my opinion nor izuocha nor bakudeku can be confirmed by non canon material, only what Horikoshi specifically wrote from chapter 1 till 430. So if you wanna argue about your ship being canon or not I think you should not consider anything else…

Izuku's weird ass intensity about being a hero and wanting to beat Kacchan was the most interesting part of him. Yeah he was a great person, but a protagonist needs to me more than a good human to be interesting.

So inheriting AMs legacy was just not important? Their lifelong rivalry ended first year high school when they achieved being the greatest heroes who save to win and win to save for FIVE MINUTES? You're saying they went through ALL THAT just to PEAK IN HIGH SCHOOL????????

Like I would understand if Izuku wanted to chill if he was fighting for years and lost his childhood to his heroic fate like Harry Potter, but he literally just lived out all his dreams for ONE YEAR. He wasn't just supposed to he a hero because the world needed one, he was supposed to be a hero because that was what he always wanted.

Sure, his ending is proving that there are many other ways to be a hero, which is great, but instead he's like a full time teacher and casual hero? And heroism is just a cool thing he gets to do? And all the kids he went to school with still maintained their passion? Except for the most passionate of all who's passion seems to have died in highschool, because he was fueled by the need to compete. And through the entire story he learns how to compete in a healthy way that isn't motivated by self-loathing and acted out through abuse. And then his lifelong rival who vowed to surpass him just dips out of the competition after surpassing him for 1 day (even though only Kacchan actually seemed to recognise that because Izuku tends towards extreme modestly).

I am ramble mcramblesen rn sorry - I just wanted to see these boys be interesting and passionate and EXCELLING. Instead one is doing alright for himself and the other is just kind of finding his way and seemingly unsatisfied.

your thoughts about chapter 431 of mha are super understandable, I hope the chapter won't discourage you completely from the series and such, and hopefully it'll only be temporary <3 I went through a bit of a creative rut when some of the later chapters were let out too, and thankfully it has passed. My feelings are little more settled about the whole thing. I'm still determined to hang on to what I love about the series but its overall ending has me just really disappointed. The message and tone and the end to this story that 431 leaves us with... it all has me feeling really really sad.

—Ahora mi corazón tiene mucho tiempo libre— le respondió Todoroki sonriendo.

Sintió que esa respuesta lo había tomado con la guardia baja, la mirada que le dedicó mientras lo decía tranquilamente parecía cómplice. No era bueno para él y su mente hecha un lío.

Katsuki nunca había creído que una noche como esta llegaría, una en la que fuera Izuku quien rechazaría su oferta de unirse a su agencia. Una noche en la que Shoto se convierte en el héroe número dos y él baja a ser el quince.

Ahora, con el nuevo interés de Shoto por los cuencos y palillos, se da cuenta de que quizá ha caído algo bajo. No quería seguir persiguiendo cosas que no le pertenecen y dejar ir las que sí se merecía.

El resto de la celebración la pasó aturdido, sin saber de qué hablaban los demás, sin saber de qué hablar consigo mismo. Sólo se dio cuenta de la incesante mirada de Todoroki sobre él. Supone que hay costumbres que nunca se pierden.

—Bastardo— lo llama cuando todos vuelven a sus casas, antes de él mismo tomar su auto lleno de idiotas y largarse—. Felicidades por tu ascenso en el ranking. Sé que no te lo dije antes.

Shoto no le contesta, sólo le sonríen. Ya no es tan raro verlo sonreir, pero sigue causando esa sensación nerviosa en su estómago cuando lo hace.

El tono de voz con el que dijo aquello tenía un tinte sospechoso, algo seductor. ¿Era un coqueteo? Uno muy extraño, al puro estilo Shoto Todoroki.

Se obliga a quitar la cara de sorpresa y a controlar las cosquillas en el estómago.

—¿Por qué siento que no me lo dices sólo por el trabajo, icyhot?

Shoto encoge los hombros, tal vez fue muy obvio.
