MHA IS / NOT / ENDING IN 2024
Ok so, MHA is definitely having at least more 50 chapters at the very minimum.
MHA is weekly, and 2024 will have only 52 weeks, so that plus breaks, if it has 50 chapters, knowing Hori takes at least a break a month, it'd need around 65 or 70 weeks to be completed.
So it can't end in 2024, maybe MHA will end around February or March 2025... Perhaps even June!
But why I think so?
The final war arc started on chapter 343, so the current arc has 66 chapters.
This final arc is the longest arc in the series, as Hori's arcs got progressively longer each new arc, the longest arcs being 24, 41 and 54, from the first big arc, it basically doubled in size, it can double again.
But i think of the traitor arc as part of the final war, starting with the Sns chapter, which is chapter 329
So to me the final arc has 80 chapters so far to put it simple.
Also Hori wouldn't just cut the end dry, I can easily see a last, short, epilogue arc showing what happened after and all the changes in society and everything.
MHA won't end in more 15 chapters, we still haven't seen: Aizawa/Mic/Kurogiri, Sero's role, the tie up to Toga and Ochako, Hawks being the light of hope, Spinner's demise, seeing what talk Compress had with the heroes, Hisashi finally appearing(hori did promise it!), Hori did mention Class 2-A briefly showing up, tie the quirk singularity theory plot, AFO finally inserting his quirk factor on Tomura, AND finally, Tomura vs Izuku.
Tomura vs Izuku is probably not being quick, giving they are the main characters, and the grand finale, the greatest mess and also what needs more focus, In these 60+ chapters of this arc so far, izuku barely showed up, you can't have a 80 chapters only arc and your MAIN CHARACTER show up just 5 or so!!!
Considering Hori made almost 50 chapters of ONLY people fighting AFO and other stuff, I'm confident we will have at MINIMUM some 15 chapters of ONLY Shigaraki vs Izuku, he is saving these two for last, so I'm confident it won't be that fast AT ALL!
Honestly, I won't be surprised if MHA have more 70 chapters left, I can easily see this arc being over 150 chapters, like, come on, Hori didn't take his sweet sweet time only to half ass rush the most important part! Hori won't rush now that he toke so much care to build up the climax
Honestly i personally think MHA might even reach 460/480 chapters total, I wont be surprised if we reach 500 chapters either! (Each volume have 12 chapters, so MHA ending with a total of 47 or 48 volumes. )
Like- there is way TOO MUCH to be seen! The final arc is only on the half way but already been 80 chapters so far! And we haven't even got to the main fight!!!
Anyways, mark my words
MHA is ending in middle 2025.
Update/Edit: Just realized MHA will have only 33 chapters released this year and only 2 volumes
First chapter of 2023 was 377- the chain thus far
33 chapters of only fighting AFO, togachako and tododabi
Even If MHA have only more 15 chaps it'll still take half a whole year 😭 MHA IS SO NOT ENDING TILL 2025

I can really see you are thinking out a thought, here.
I’ll start by saying that anyone who actively mocks or derides others IS being rude and that’s always unnecessary. I don’t think “people are actually surprised that La Brava is back” is a particularly mean-spirited comment, though.
Now, I’d like to respond to your train of thought. You used a couple examples to paint a picture of how certain readers may think, and while I’m sure it IS accurate to how they think, how they’re thinking doesn’t really use any understanding of Horikoshi’s writing personality/style. And it is kinda just based on personal expectations and preferences. Perhaps from other shows they’ve liked?
Like, you immediately compared Mustard to La Brava because they both have one appearance and your personal preference is that they weren’t memorable characters. But that’s the only criteria you use. You didn’t compare how they were written: Mustard was a side character in Shigaraki’s gang, taken out in one episode by another side character, while La Brava was a co-lead of in her own arc. So, I take this moment to declare that they were not written the same at all! I do declare it!
It should be noted that Mustard is actually designed to be a VERY memorable character in Japan. Americans go crazy by how well-voted Mustard is in most popularity polls (He’s usually 35th, but to Americans its an insult.) Horikoshi designed Mustard to tick off a LOT of boxes of what makes Japanese audiences happy, primarily he's a psycho middle school delinquent. I could write an essay with eight examples of beloved anime character designs and their boilerplate would be “middle school delinquent”. American anime fans would realize they also love all those characters, too, but the only thing I can say to compare so that English speakers really get it is "You see how Mirko looks like a hip hop artist with a killer kick? You feel that switch that turns on in your brain that compels you to worship her?" So, based on character design alone, it would be ENTIRELY possible for Mustard to come back simply for the same reason that if an American pop culture story has one Black character, they are automatically a badass. Also, it should really be noted that if Mustard was arrested and ten prisons were broken... Whether or not you or I like or remember Mustard doesn’t make it more “obvious” if he’s coming back, its if Horikoshi took the time to say that a juvenile detention center was broken, too. LOL! (Americans are likewise complaining right now about Shindo Yo making an reappearance, saying the popularity polls influence the story, when its the opposite: Shindo was designed and characterized from the beginning to be someone the Japanese audience would WANT to see again, which is why he’s a #15-20 character in the popularity polls, and has even cracked top ten.)
But, to my point about writing, the reason it's funny to think Gentle and La Brava weren't coming back is because their last episode ended with the police recruiting them. :)
To anyone who was surprised about about La Brava returning, I don't blame you.
I figured she would return because she just gave me those kind of vibes.
I mentioned it before, she is a hacker. And the last we see of her, she was told she has useful skills. That just stood out to me. Especially since Skeptic shows up later being the tech guy for the villains.
That and a lot of minor characters come back or gets mentioned.
So yeah, I wasn't surprised.
But I'm also aware that La Brava isn't a major character, most of the fandom don't really care for her, and some minor characters don't return.
So when I see people be like "people are actually surprised that La Brava is back" my mind goes to...
"Well, yeah. It's not like she has had a lot of big hints of coming back. She isn't shown a lot. Hell, most people probably know her as just Gentle Criminal's sidekick and not a hacker."
Like how many of you remember Mustard?
Exactly.
If he makes a comeback, don't act like you remember who he is because a lot of you don't.
I'm just saying, that's just me. Any time someone says they're surprised about a character coming back or something happening, I just "Well, I don't blame you". People forget things, so it's not a big deal.
Acting like someone forget a character or a detail like they're stupid or "Oh my gosh, how could you forget? That's so important" is just not me.

That last MHA chapter had me hyperventilating! What the HELL is going on!? Istc if they kill off ANYBODY! Why did they mean "A SPECIFIC PERSON is dead"? (I won't spoil) They better not kill them off! Also, I feel like this is a hopeless situation unless we get Tomura to come back to his senses. Otherwise, we're all fucking dead atp! God give me the strength to get through this series.

Analysis master list
Hi!!!! You can call me Hope, and I love to draw, write analyses, and just ramble about thinks I love! I also like reblogging a lot of stuff I find cool, so in order for my analysis posts (and some ramblings) to not get lost on my blog amongst all my other interests, I’m making master list here!! Most of these are bnha so far, but I’m hoping to write stuff for other things I love too!!! Also please note: Deku from BNHA is my favorite character and I lowkey like to pride myself as an Izuku Midoriya meta specialist, so most posts can tie back to him even though I do plan on writing about other characters

By middle-aged, do you mean he’s 32? By under-aged-looking, do you mean woman in her 20s who is definitely not under-aged? And by loser do you mean “a petty criminal who never murdered anyone by burning them alive or dusting them into nothingness”?
By “the same dudebros” do you mean random people on the Internet with no real connection to what their previous stances on the other characters... and even if you knew exactly what their previous stances are, you are comparing them hating murderers to them loving a rogue thief who commits crimes for clout and calling it hypocrisy?
By “easy, unearned power-up of Gentle” do you mean a hype moment based on established lore that was developed during all of Class 1-A’s training and My Villain Academia on how quirks evolve and the story didn’t spend that same narrative energy again on a tertiary character?
And by “gets rewarded for doing one good thing” do you mean one amazingly selfless and heroic good thing that exponentially saved thousands of people by preventing the damage those escapees would have caused?
I just want to specify, I don’t hate villains getting redeemed.
I hate though the easy, unearned, exponential power-up of Gentle, in a flashback. Making him solo that prison in that arc, where he sidelined the entire Class A, not letting them have a single villain fight even though there were more than enough to go around.
And I especially hate fandom praising this as peak writing. The same dudebros who still want Shigaraki and Dabi to die, who still want Bakugou to be featless and humiliated, who still diss all the class a characters as useless pawns and yell foul whenever the kids get to do anything.
But when the loser middle-aged YouTuber with the under-age looking love interest suddenly gets an exponential and unexplained power-up, there is no problem with it. Because it’s another character they can project onto who gets rewarded immediately for doing one good thing.
I really hope these dudebros will keep their mouths shot when it’s gonna be the kids’ turn to shine.
