the english localization creates an equivalency here that isn't there originally - and that i think obfuscates a pretty start difference in the underlying emotions from louis here. with will he's simply drily mocking him for making a mistake and missing his opportunity to kill him at the last second - with the brothers, this is personal, muttered to himself through gritted teeth.
he's hurt here, he had genuinely believed in them, and it's that hurt that then steels him to actually try and kill them, past the point that there was any "reason." this is a fairly distinct crossing of a line for louis, and i think the significance of that in the greater scheme of his issues - the fact that he did honestly think they were different than all the other "possibilities" he can't trust - gets lost in a translation that words these lines to be so similarly detached.
