MCU, meets The BOYz.
There is chaos in the streets. People running and screaming, looking for any way to escape whatever is happening. The sky crackles like glass, and splits in dozens of deep swirling crevasses. Whether this was fate acting in the two girl's favor, or actively trying to trap them, was unclear. But they continued to run. A small blonde girl with short blonde hair, and bright blue eyes, and leaning onto her shoulder, a taller, thinner girl with thick black hair and steel blue eyes.
The two had come so far in the last few months of their short turbulent life. Escaping one evil only to run into more and more. The world in chaos as Steven Strange battled some dark force and in doing so, manage to twist the fibers of reality into knots.
The girls kept moving, though a trail of crimson was left behind them. The older girl with raven hair was barely conscious at this point. Gripping the pistol in one hand, and a gushing wound in the other.
The two couldn't afford to stop, not even to breath. Practically tumbling into an alley just as another tremor rolled past them. It was so loud both of the girls had to cover their ears.
"We have to keep going! C'mon Winter, get up!" The younger blonde cried, as she tried to put her friend's arm around her neck.
"Brayla, just go without me. I'll just slow you down." Winter croaked tiredly. She could feel the weakness in her limbs. She was slowly bleeding out.
In her mind it would be a worth while sacrifice. After all the horrible things Hydra forced her to do all her life, saving her best friend didn't seem like a bad thing to die for. She had always been the one to look out for her. She was smaller, more frail than Winter was. It was her responsibility to take care of her. But that was exactly how they got into this mess.
If you weren't strong in Hydra, they threw you away like trash. And they had planned to be rid of Brayla. She wasn't what they wanted in a super soldier. Her abilities hadn't manifested like they had hoped, not like Winter's had. She carried more of her father than they had expected, but that was also a bad thing for them. Because it meant she had her father's loyalty. And when Hydra threatened to 'terminate' Bray, Winter snapped.
And now they were on the run. Desperate for shelter, and a place to think of a plan. And Brayla was making it very clear she did NOT plan on leaving Winter behind.
She braced herself against the concrete wall behind her friend, and groaned as she lifted Winter back up onto her feet. Starting to walk again, only to notice,.... the city looked different. It WAS different.
"Winter,.... where are we?"
