Confession #109
"Watching Star Trek Into Darkness, I shipped Carol Marcus with Bones instead of Kirk. At least when McCoy commented on Carol's attractiveness, he was more respectful about it than Kirk was."

How I'd fix Star Trek Into Darkness
Yeah, I know what you're thinking, you'd be surprised to see this coming from who is arguably the biggest CumberKhan apologist on the face of the Earth. I even call him my schmoopsie-poo and I made a whole backstory explaining why he looks Like That™, it’s pretty damn tearjerking.
But do you know what I also love as much as Benedict's Khan? Klingons. Yeah, I love Klingons so much.
Tumblr media
I found this on the TVTropes YMMV page for the movie, and if the big hats had actually gone through with this back in 2013, I wouldn't have minded because I'm crazy for Klingons. Plus, it would spare me three years of sadness and heartbreak. (if you've been following the #vengekhan tag on this blog, then you'd know why)
So, here's how I'd fix the movie:
Basically, Admiral Marcus and co. are a bit smarter than how they're presented in the actual movie, and they actually decide to put the transwarp technology made by Scotty to good use and just beam a bunch of bombs to the enemy's home planet and sit back and relax as they are wiped out. And as a result, the Klingons get mad-mad and dispatch Koloth(portrayed by Benedict) and his beloved IKS Qugh(which is tlhIngan Hol for "disaster"), the finest battleship the Empire has to offer, to investigate! (diabolical laughter)
Koloth and the Qugh get into conflict w/ Kirk and co. and the Enterprise, and after a buncha epic space battles, the Qugh is soundly beaten by the Entewpwise in classic David VS Goliath fashion. But hey, Koloth ain't mad at all! He's impressed by Kirk and co.'s tenacity, and they decide to go all enemy mine to find out who beamed those bombs to Qo'noS and eventually find out Marcus is responsible and Scotty finds out his technology took a huge part in all this.
After learning Scotty's "transwarp transporter" technology ultimately led to Section 31 launching that attack on Qo'noS, Koloth gets mad (for real this time) and tries to execute Scotty with a mean-looking bat'leth, only for Uhura to stop him and they have a nice long talk (in tlhIngan Hol, of course) and I have no idea what happens next because I'm a shit writer. Just know that this "fixed" movie will be just as Spirky as what the big hats gave us, with a side of McCarol and Uhotty and at least one "please, captain, not in front of the Klingons" moment.

sometimes, if the planet is really well known and especially safe, bones and carol will take little david down on research missions with them so he can use his baby tricorder and be a grown up scientist just like mummy and daddy

'Definitely Maybe': 30 años del debut de Oasis
A principios de los noventa, un pequeño grupo llamado Oasis, liderado por los hermanos Liam y Noel Gallagher tendrían la oportunidad de grabar su primer álbum sin saber que los catapultaría a la fama, pero nadie dijo que sería fácil.

OK so I just connected a few dots for myself. In Supersonic we are shown this clip of GQ journalist Daniela Soave talking about the time Liam called her down to his room and started taking about the traumas of his childhood
She was following the band on their Japanese tour in 1994.
In Tony's McCarolls book in the pages that cover that same tour he tells a story about himself and Liam witnessing a man attacking a woman in a club and Liam and him intervening, with Liam managing to free the woman from her attacker.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was the same night and after this awful incident that Liam and Noel started talking to the band about their childhood and Tony was dismissive. He claimed that their childhood was no different to anyone else in the bands. This is in spite of the fact he did not recount any similar violence in his own childhood in the book and him sharing that Guigsy remarked to him later in the toilet about terrible it was for Liam and Noel that they had to go through that. Tony responds dismissively and Guigsy dobs him in to Noel and Liam.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tony also tries to imply that Noel and Liam were spinning a bit of a yarn about their dad influenced by what the media had been saying... but this was 1994 Tommy's violence didn't come to light in the media until Paul Gallagher published his book in 1996.

okay, i LOVED your headcanons and you told me to ask if i wanted more so here i am. any and all of your favourite headcanons 3.2.1 go!
Sure! Let's go for it
Carley hated her job, and wished everyday that her news editor would retire or just leave. But when she died, Carley couldn't help but feel strong guilt over it despite not having much to do with it.
Carver definitely had a girlfriend/wife before the apocalypse, but never had a child. His fixation on Rebecca is due to him really wanting a child, and he would do it no matter what.
Doug loves cookies, and kept a pack on him quite often when he'd go on his IT Guy services.
The Ericson Kids had a car in the past, but Brody and Marlon didn't let anyone use it, eventually losing it when one of the dead kids stole it and crashed it.
Alvin killed George due to accidentally believing that he was one of the Howe's guards and panicking with his pistol. It's one of the reasons why he doesn't give Clem the gun when she asks for it, not wanting her to make a mistake like him.
Lee definitely wanted a daughter first with his wife. He seems glad to treat Clem, and it felt like he wanted to learn and grow up with her around. He was friends with the State Senator, which is how the affair ended up happening.
Clementine and Christa went days without talking to each other after Omid's death, and did the same after her baby died. Clem was fine with the silence for a little while, but at some point she began having constant nightmares and would force conversations with Christa to stop thinking about them.
Ruby and Ms. Martin would spend nights together with the elder teaching Ruby how to stitch wounds, even giving Ruby a cut on her arm to see if she could stitch herself up.
AJ's first walker kill came when Clem was sleeping in, and their little spot got infiltrated by one lone walker. He also has a scar on his left ankle from getting cut one time at the McCaroll Ranch.
Carlos isn't actually a doctor, he just has good knowledge on medicines and that area, but was never qualified or anything.
Uncle Pete actually wanted to keep Clem around and was glad to teach her some things, considering how Nick turned out.
David Garcia divorced/broke up with Gabe & Mariana's mother due to his military services. She didn't like how much he stayed away from the family, and eventually left.
Tripp is a gym bro, he has great genes and got really big, but never actually learnt to fight or anything.

OMG, OMG, OMG. Anything you write, but maybe Carol and Bones share the same quarters, but even so sometimes they don't see each for days and when they do it's never like they would expect?
Here you go, anon! Hope you enjoy, and, please, don’t pay attention to grammar or spelling (not my forte).
~~~~
Carol is exhausted when she enters their quarters (his, it is his, hers are two decks up, half the size and without the luxury of hot water). Her back and neck are sore after so many hours hunched over her lab station, tension and irritation making her cranky and grumpy (she shouldn’t be, he is the one supposed to be cranky and grumpy, even if he is not any of these things, really). They haven’t seen each other in days, and she is not counting that quick replicated meal shared in the mess hall (they were supposed to have the real stuff and nice bantering after their shifts and do all the couple-y things, but they serve on the Enterprise, where one should ask oneself what is the purpose of having a boyfriend if you do not rip the benefits). She is sleep deprived, food deprived and sex deprived (only one week, and she misses him in so many embarrassing ways). She wants to be anywhere else but there (it was what she had feared the most, the obligation to be with him when all she wants is to be miserable and alone). He has been busy, too, and a spaceship that big with only three surgeons is pathetic (he is a workaholic doctor who always puts his patients first, and she hates that she comes second, greater good be damned).
She stops when she realizes he is already there, asleep on bed (larger than hers, softer than hers, and it comes with him on top). She knows his day was that bad because he passed out in the same clothes he came from sickbay (he always waits for her when they are on the same shift and he never ever sleeps without scrubbing his skin raw under the sonic). He usually looks ten years younger when he sleeps, but now he appears to be ten years older, and she curses whoever got sick, injured or killed under his watch (he is only 33 but he carries the weight of the  decades and decades of everybody else’s life on his shoulders). Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence, never a dull day deep in the universe (sometimes when the ship pass a nebula, they lay for hours on deck nine, looking at dust formations and guessing the cloud shapes in the sea of colors against the black). Five years of this, five years of the same people, five years of metal walls, five years of sporadic shore leaves, exquisite new worlds, perils beyond their wildest dreams (only three years of him if it all works out, what with their late start and everything that may go wrong, that will go wrong, and she will not think about what will become of them when their mission is over).
She tosses her uniform on the floor, grabs one of his t-shirts and slips next to him, pulling the covers he didn’t bother to use over them both, one of her hands resting on his chest (thump, thump, thump, 45 and counting). He looks so tired, and she can’t refrain herself from brushing her fingers over his cheek (she will die before confessing what these dimples do to her when he smiles). She listens to his breathing until his eyes flutter open, but in the dim lights they are not hazel, but brown, all traces of green gone (they once talked about heterochromia, starting with genetics and recessive genes, passing through a debate over politics and ending with her secretly thinking that her smile and his eyes would make an unbeatable combo).
“Len”, she says (Bones for the Captain, Leonard for Spock, Uhura and Scotty, Lenny for Christine, Doctor, McCoy or Doctor McCoy for the rest of the fleet, but he is Len only for her).
“Darling”, he replies, his voice hoarse, and his arms pulling her towards him (it is ridiculous how much she adores the way he calls her ‘darling’, even if he calls half of the ship the same way).
“How was your day?” and she witnesses the tension melting away from his features (she wants to kiss him, and hold him, and love him, and see the joy on his face).
“Just got better”, he replies, struggling to keep his eyes open, and he is asleep again before she can say the same (what really she wants to tell him, though, is that she loves him, but she is scared that loving him will not be enough for her, and that he loving her back will not be enough for both of them).
Then he does that thing he always do where he is laying on his side but half rolls over her, using her body like an oversized pillow (one molded to another, fitting so well). He adjusts his chest just a little, and her head finds the right spot on the curve of his neck, even if he is crushing her just a little (he is heavy and solid and he is hers).
And she wouldn’t have it any other way (as long as he wants her).
