Step-by-step registration process of SNAP Exam 2019
Just like several MBA entrance exams, the exam date for SNAP is fast approaching. Meanwhile, Symbiosis Deemed University [SIU] opened its registrations for SNAP entrance test 2019. Counted amongst the popular MBA entrance exams in India, here’s a basic overview of this exam -
● It is a computer-based test.
● The test lasts for 120 minutes, i.e., 2 hours.
● SNAP will take place on 15th December 2019.
● It is an objective-based Test, with each incorrect answer resulting in 25% negative marks.
● From 2019, SNAP will consist of three sections - General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. Henceforth, there will be no General Knowledge section.
Now, let’s look at the step-by-step registration process for MBA application exam for this exam -
1. Registration form part I
SNAP’s registration commences from 16th August and closes on 23rd September. To register for the exam, first, click on apply now on the website - https://www.snaptest.org/. Since you’re a new user, click on register, where the site will direct you to the part I of the registration form. In this form, you will have to fill in the following details -
● Name as per your 10th/12th mark sheet
● Date-of-birth
● Mobile number
● Primary email
● Category (General/SC/ST/OBC)
● Are you an NRI candidate? (Yes/No)
● Your three preferred test cities
● Upload a photo between the sizes 10kb and 5MB. The photo should not be older than three months.
After filling these details, click on save and continue. Post that, you will receive an OTP on your phone. Once you submit the OTP, you will officially register for SNAP.
2. SNAP Payment
After filling the registration form part I, the next step is payment of the exam. You can only proceed towards registration form part II by paying for the exam. Here’s the guide on how to pay for the exam -
a. You can choose your payment option from one of the three payment gateways or a demand draft. The three payment gateways are -
● Bill-desk Payment Gateway
● Easebuzz Payment Gateway
● Indian bank Net Banking
b. Once you choose your mode of payment, you have to INR 1750 before the deadline i.e., 23rd November 2019. Select ‘Click here to pay’ to proceed.
c. If your mode of payment is a payment gateway, you will get the following options to make the transaction -
● Credit Card
● Debit Card
● Debit Card + ATM Pin
● Internet Banking
● Wallet/Cash Cards
● UPI
After you make the payment, you will receive a confirmation in the form of a receipt number, which you must store safely. Moreover, this payment only for the SNAP test. You must complete the remaining portion of the application form and individually pay INR 1000 per institute per programme to be eligible for their admission process.
3. Registration Form Part II
It is the final step for the registration of SNAP. Here’s a guide on how to fill this form -
a. Personal details
Since you already filled your personal details in the registration form part I, the website will auto-fill all details except your gender and nationality.
b. Work experience details
In case you have work experience, tick YES and mention your total number of working months till 31st December 2019. Remember that only full-time experience counts here. Hence, refrain from mentioning your part-time or internship experience.
If you don’t have full-time work experience, tick NO and proceed.
c. Educational details
In this section, you have to fill the requisite details -
● Your Highest Qualification
● UG Education Type
● Your UG Qualifying Degree
● Your UG University Name
● Tenth Marks (in %)
● Twelfth Marks (in %)
d. Programmes offered
There are 16 programmes and 28 institutes in total. You can select as many programmes as you want. In case you want to make changes, you can review and update your programme list before payment.
e. Fill your address
Submit your address details filling the requisite rows -
● Address lines (one after another)
● City
● State
● Pin code
● Phone number
● Alternate email
f. Select your preferred test cities and upload your photo
Just like in registration form part I, fill in the same preferred test cities and upload the same photo.
g. Payment
Upon selecting your programmes, choose your payment mode as before and pay the programme fee of the institutes for Symbiosis admission. You have to pay INR 1000 per institute per programme.
With that, your registration for SNAP exam 2019 comes to an end. Remember to complete the entire process before 23rd November 2019. Or else you will miss out on a golden chance to secure an admission in Symbiosis college! All the best with your preparations!

5 tips that will help in your SNAP preparation
With 8 months to go for SNAP, the ideal time to start your preparation for the exam would be now. The earlier you start, the more time you have to learn and revise your topics thoroughly. 2. Solve DI sets and RCs
Reading comprehension and Data Interpretation sets comprise nearly 7% of the paper. To ace this section, it is essential that you solve at least two DI sets and RCs on a regular basis. If you follow this routine from now till the exam day, you will know how to solve these type of questions like the back of your hand.
3. Read on current affairs
Most MBA entrance exams in India ask current affairs. In SNAP, 25 of the 130 questions comprises of current affairs. Generally, this is considered to be the make-or-break section, as there is no specific portion to study current affairs. You have to grasp as much information as you can from the past two years so that you stand a chance of clearing this section.
The ideal way of preparing it is noting down major events every week in your notebook. This will help you keep track of the current affairs. Manorma’s yearbook is also of great help.
4. Note down formulas for easy reference
Since SNAP is an objective type paper, the quant questions will be based on the direct application of formulas. Therefore, it would be wise to jot down formulas of the required quant topics for easy reference. 5. Give mocks
