I just realised I have very little context on this blog about...carce and how the world there is set up. So I’m stealing this old post from my patreon discord lmao

The sunken cities are a fun little bubble of air in between two oceans and carce is just one of ten islands within that little pocket.. carce is the only island that’s owned by the humans on the surface due to a pact with giant insect ppl who live in the Hives, tho there are settlements of humans that arrived there before it was industrialised and turned into what is essentially a prison island

Tobias was born on the surface, but due to a series of unfortunate events ended up taken down to the sunken cities & incarcerated at the age of 10.
