#MAU: Pleasantview Round 2

Jill had rolled a want to throw a party but by the time Jenny got home it was already past 9pm and I had forgotten. Plus Jenny was on the brink of passing out and I wanted to get through all this before she passed out.

Up first is Luna!

She’s an Aries with a 8/5/3/3/7 personality. She’s inherited PT9′s heavy sleeper trait and Jenny’s natural cook trait which unfortunately she won’t be able to use for a while.

Brittany woke up late and took over from the three of them so they could have lunch. She’d prepared some grilled cheese sandwiches for them. I thought maybe Monica and Gunnar were finally burying the hatchet.

But it looks like Monica still isn’t over whatever happened.

And then the train set caught on fire! I panicked when I saw all the fire.

Thankfully Victor was in the nursery teaching Keira and I was able to get him to the phone without being distracted by the fire.

Well he got distracted by it but at least it was after the fire department had been notified.

Luckily the fire department made it in time and nobody perished in the fire.

Bottom brings home Gallagher Newson (big surprise he’s been coming home with every teen if they don’t bring Justin Kim home).

She rolls a want to flirt with him and he’s receptive to her charms but things don’t go any further. Maybe because her dad is right behind them playing pinball.

Woohoo #1 - and apparently it’s their first time woohooing ever. They must be the only couple from uni that didn’t woohoo but looking back they also got together pretty late so that’s probably why.

He gets home in time to celebrate Rowan’s birthday. He still hasn’t spoken to Sam since she rejected him the previous night and he’s not really in the mood to do so now. But he puts on a happy face for his daughter, he can pretend to be happy for at least one night.

Rowan is a Gemini with a 0/4/10/4/5 personality. She’s inherited the good trait from Sam and the neurotic trait from Erik.

Sam: Erik where have you been? You said you’d be home an hour ago! I already put Rowan down for the night.

Erik: I stopped to get something on my way home. Give me your hand.

Sam: My hand? Erik what’s going on? What is that?

Erik: It’s a wedding ring. I thought since we’d have our hands full with Rowan once she ages up we could just have a simple ceremony right now just the two of us. I visited the jewelers this morning to pick out the ring and they were able to have it resized while I was at the store.

Sam: We can’t do this.

Erik: Do you not like it? We can get a different one.

Sam: That’s not it...I don’t want to get married like this.

Erik: Okay that’s fine we can have a big ceremony with our friends if that’s what you want. We’ll have to organize it around Rowan of course but I think that should be fine. Did you want to wait until after winter or should we see if everybody can come tomorrow? Or maybe a winter wedding would be nice-

Sam: No Erik I meant I don’t think I want to get married to you.

Sam is in her last trimester!

Despite that she rolled a want to go to work so I let her go and she managed to get a bonus while she was there!

She comes back from her first day with a promotion which is a great start to her working career.

For Erik’s part he managed to find a treasure chest while she was at work. Between Sam’s bonus and Erik’s finds they were able to pay off the last bit of their loan (they’ve still got student loans but those aren’t incurring interest).

Oh and there’s one more piece of exciting news: Sam is pregnant! That explains why she was so tired at work.

No law jobs available today so they head outside to dig up their front yard in the hope of treasure. While they’re out there the welcome wagon shows up consisting of John Burb Chester Gieke, and Jessica Peterson.

They did interact with their guests a bit although they also kept flirting/kissing each other after each interaction.

It turns out Brittany made some grilled cheese for everybody so they could get to know each other over dinner. Gunnar’s not the biggest fan of it but he’s not one to turn down a free meal. He better get used to it because Brittany will be serving a lot of it while she’s here.

Our unlucky sim who is now infertile is Gunnar Roque though to be honest he has a romance secondary so he might be fine with it. It took me a bit to figure out which ACR settings to manipulate since I’ve never had to make a sim infertile but it should be good to go, or at the very least he has the smallest of chances of reproducing.

Next up is a new household which will go by the tag: Pleasantview Manor. I had this idea for a shared housing situation for recently graduated university students who would otherwise be living on their own because I hate having a bunch of single sim households. I’ll probably set one up for each neighbourhood as needed. In Pleasantview they’ll be living in the old Goth Manor, and it looks like the first resident is about to get some life changing news from the ROS challenge.

They did end up woohooing immediately after and the dream still reached dream date status despite the rejected proposal. They both agreed they were better off as friends (with benefits).

He won’t have to worry about that though because Chloe rejected his proposal.

Chloe: I thought we were just going to woohoo. I thought we were on the same page about this being casual.

Chester: You’re right I don’t know where that came from.

Things quickly move from crush to love between these two.

I was surprised when they both rolled wants to get engaged to each other, especially Chester. He also had fears of getting married to her and two other townies.
