Okay but, all the people talking about how Dean has dialogue that they say “wasn’t him” and was just “the writers forcing him to say stupid stuff” are missing out on CRUCIAL aspects of Dean’s personality. Yes, he is a male character written by men so at his basic character design he is made to be a “boys boy” who is so so super cool and macho and alpha sigma raaaahhh, and that’s okay! Yes, he’s a womanizer, he is also a child of the nineties and he was raised in an environment that perpetuated the importance of performative (toxic) masculinity. With all that said, he is also a big softie who loves deeply and cares so much for those around him. I just feel like forgetting about the stupid shit he says or does is a disservice to the amazing duality that really makes Dean Dean. By erasing those key aspects of his character we make him something more palatable at the cost of reducing him down to a much less intricate character. I’m not saying that some of the stuff he says isn’t problematic or sleazy, I’m just saying that it’s authentic to his portrayal and without a little bit of dumbfuck in him, he’d be excruciatingly Mary Sue.

Anyone else just get super fucking mad seeing M*kio near Mizu? Like, this isn't even because I'm in love with her anymore it's because he's such a fucking shitty ass person not to mention HE'S OLD AS SHIT GRANDPA LOOKING CRUSTY ASS MOTHERFUCKER. Like ok, I get that it was normal during that time but this is also kinda like saying I should still be with an older dude bc its lowkey highkey normalized in my culture like. Is it normal? Yes. Is it ok? ABSOLUTELY THE FUCK NOT. Like idk I just really needed to yap abt it because it was actually driving me insane.

It may also be because I just got like triple heartbreak recently sooooo... projection? Yes? Probably? Like, how am I supposed to explain that I'm in love with a fictional character who has a shitty lovelife and yet you also somehow manage to match it? Like? Is it normal to be left by everyone or is it just me? Like, this is the 8th person? Am I cursed? And yeah, I may be the problem but whenever I ask it's always like "no, there was nothing wrong with you I just don't like you lol". LIKE?!? FOR THE 8TH TIME?!?
