Simba’s reading list for the elusive next year

Posting this to hold myself accountable, hopefully! This is the list of books I’ve pieced together this past night and this half-day, which will probably change depending on what’s available to me and what this coming year does to me. I am starting a tag of what I read to liveblog it, since it seemed to work last year with the lylm tag (which hasn’t died! a source of pride), but I don’t know what it’ll be just yet. I am also just picking ten books as like, a goal, but I don’t care if I do less or more as long as I read at least one.

a book recommended to me: A Thousand Nights, by E.K. Johnston (thank u jora)

a book from an author I think is nice because I've seen her on tumblr and I also liked the spooky cover: Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan (Lynburn legacy #1)

a book that I bought and have to read, just to get it over with so that is stops haunting me: The Age of Empire by Eric Hobsbawm

three chapbooks that work as one book bc I read thru them really fast and also one bonus I am tacking on at the end just to see if I can: We Begin in the Dark by Zara Williams, poems to carry in your pocket by Laura Villareal, teething season for new skin by Quinn Lui and if god allows, al youm by George Abraham, which is a lil lengthier.
