SUNSET SWIMS ☀️ Taking a quick dip as the sun goes down sounds like a nice idea, until you nearly freeze your nipples off 🥶Fortunately when it’s this dark you can’t tell 😏 ... Sadly we left Bled today to drive down through the national park into Italy (which was gorgeous but also pretty anxiety inducing as we had to go OVER a mountain) So I’m off to eat my feelings in the form of pasta and gelato 😋🍝 ... ALSO, HELLO if you are new around here thanks to the lovely @lucyjanewood including me in her video today 🥰 My life doesn’t normally look like this #londonforever but right now I’m on holiday so I hope you enjoy a bit of midsize travel content too 💞 ... Please say hi down below I’d love to get to know you! 💫 https://ift.tt/30Y83BO

Emma Johnson is a vlogger and a true British tea-enthusiast with amazing style. She has acquired a following of just under 50 thousand who are obsessed with her style. Us included. Her super cute YouTube channel is home to all kinds of fashion, beauty and lifestyle content, just where do we start? Today, we thought we’d share with you some of our favourite outfits of hers. There are many young women in the UK with “average” or “curvy” body types and we all know the struggles of finding cool clothes that weren’t made for size 8s. So let’s get stuck in as we showcase our top five hot picks from Emma Johnson.
The Legendary Outfits of Emma Johnson
1. The Flirty Number
First of all, we all must take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous not only her outfit is but the backdrop too. What a great spot for a selfie?! When it comes to curvy figures, so many of us will wear jeans with that classic “long top” just to cover up any insecurities. However, you should be proud to show off what your mama gave ya. A funky belt will cinch you in at the waist to give you that hourglass figure you’ve been craving. Bardot tops like these are also great to give a sexy shoulder vibe too.
2. The Double Denim Number
You can never go wrong with a cheeky bit of double denim. There is just something so timeless about it and it requires pretty much minimal effort. All you have to do is choose a pair of your favourite trainers and a groovy top, whatever takes your fancy, and you’re good to go. Here, Emma has given this outfit that extra oomph with some stripey goodness and we’re in love. Again, this one features the classic tuck in and belt vibe which elongates your legs too. This is definitely one to note down ladies.
3. The Vibey Number
If you don’t know about the power of flared trousers, you need to get to know. This co-ord outfit with contrasting white trainers is next level. Any university students living in cities such as Cardiff and Bristol will know all about this trend. This ’70s inspired cut of trousers creates a floaty aesthetic perfect for dancing at festivals or cool gigs. They’re light enough to keep you cool as we’ll see the temperature rising too because you can dress the top half up or down as much as you like.
4. The Sophisticated Number
Emma Johnson knows exactly how to dress her figure and she really is worth taking a few tips from. This specific type of dress can often be found under the “wrap dress” category of your favourite online stores. The fabric comes together with the tie of a gorgeous big bow to bring your waist in and accentuate your hips. And what’s better is that it enhances your figure in a much more flattering way than sometimes-skimpy bodycon. This cut of sleeves is also a classic to draw more attention to your snatched waist and is the perfect design if you prefer covering up your arms.
5. The Explorer Number
Finally, we have a delicious combo of neutral browns that I don’t about you but remind me of chocolate and caramel. Yum. Again, this is another outfit style that you can’t really go wrong with. Wearing items from a similar colour palette automatically make it look as though you put a lot more effort into picking what you were going to wear that day than you actually did. Add a cool tee and trainers and you’re sorted. The ’90s scrunchie isn’t essential but it sure will add a little something-something.
Emma Johnson is definitely one to look out for. Her fashion sense (and makeup skills) are just something else. We’re predicting many exciting projects are in the stars for this one.

Glossybox is back with a bang! Technically, they didn’t go too far away but the rise of influencers is slowly but surely tempting lots of brands to throw PR packages their way in hope of some coverage. However, Glossybox is one of the most authentic players in the beauty delivery box game because they are like no other.
Glossybox is a beauty product delivery service. Each stunning box contains five luxurious treats from many makeup, skin and hair care brands. Even the boxes themselves are something worth keeping because they change each month with unique designs for different seasons. Everyone is going crazy for them right now because you get to test out samples of brand new products that the world doesn’t yet know about. Speaking from experience, you also get sent a cheeky full-size bottle of something every now and again too.
Glossybox UK Have A Stunning Site
As well as shipping out their Glossybox service worldwide in over 10 countries they have an incredible blog too. They really bring the products and brands they work with to life with makeup how-to’s and skin care regimes. Since launching just a few years ago, Glossybox is working with over 100 premium and niche brands. You know all those cool products you see your favourite influencers testing out on Instagram? Glossybox is kind of the haven for this.
We’re adding Glossybox to our #GirlfriendCollection because no matter the occasion, you deserve to indulge. With their beauty product delivery service, you could have magical pamper sessions on a weekly basis. A subscription would make a super cool present for a friend or family member too. Just imagine how happy you’d be to receive 60 products a year as part of a present!
We predict that they’re going to become bigger than ever. This is because we’ve already spotted them working with some incredible Instagrammers and YouTubers who have a genuine passion for beauty.

Glossybox is also a super interactive brand who are always engaging with their followers. Whether they’re hosting live video events or mini competitions, they’re always ahead of the game. Most recently, they held an incredible Valentine’s Day event and decked out an entire venue with pink everything, flowers and beauty goodies.
One of our favourite bloggers, Lucy Wood, attended the ‘It’s All About Love’ event in London. The sneak peeks we saw on her Instagram story looked incredible. How dreamy?!

Searching for someone new to watch on YouTube? Fancy something old school and relatable but with a twist? If so, Lucy Wood is your girl. She’s an influencer based in London and despite the online world not quite being her full-time job, her content is quite frankly, bangin’.
This 27-year-old, originally from The Wirral, is actually a writer, and a pretty talented one at that. You can find some of her most recent work on Marie Claire and you’ll be instantly engaged by her wonderful humour and her natural talent of relatability. And what I mean by that is how through just a small piece of writing on literally whatever topic, Lucy Wood knows how best to capture your attention as a reader and give you something or a situation to relate to. You can actually find stacks of these funny little moments on her Twitter profile too.
https://twitter.com/LucyJaneWood/status/1047043768417968128
However, the thing we love her for most and why she’s our newest #PowerCrush is a recent, original series she created on her YouTube channel. Average Girl Size.
What is Average Girl Size all about?
Lucy Wood effectively created a new hashtag using this label for herself and subscribers to celebrate their figure. She describes it as being that in-betweeny size where you aren’t a plus-sized babe but you’re not a petite size 8 or 10 either. And if you ask me, it’s genius. She’s totally right that there isn’t much content available online for women to gain realistic outfit inspiration for sizes 12-16 and she’s now filling in that gap in the market.
Some of our favourites, here at Coture Social, that we’ve loved so far are:
Size 14 Night Out Outfits
Average Girl Tries Pretty Little Thing Model Outfits
Testing Size 14 Jeans Across Ten Brands
In just May this year, Lucy had 50,000 subscribers and since creating more of this incredible content she’s now got just under TRIPLE that. And boy does she deserve it! She is inspirational and a fabulous example of what stepping out of your comfort zone can do for you. Lucy has always been open about her issues with body confidence and how she’s trying to achieve a healthier state of mind on the topic. And it’s thanks to genuine openness like this that people like you and me can relate and better ourselves as people too altogether.
Tell me more…
The hashtag actually stemmed from another series Lucy does – Average Girl Tries. She often states that her makeup skills are well and truly average and so she gives herself challenges every now and again to try new looks and techniques. It’s often new products that she tests out and her viewers love it so much because, again, it’s all about that relatability.
Something that is additionally fabulous about Lucy is how much she genuinely appreciates and loves her subscribers. She’s always active on social media despite her busy lifestyle as a hard-working young lady whilst making and posting videos when she can AND hosting giveaways. But she never forgets the huge pool of people who are to thank for supporting and praising her along the way.
How did she get to where she is now?
So, Lucy is currently living in London with her rather handsome boyfriend Adam and gorgeous feline Flo. All whilst being a freelance writer, online content creator and valuable influencer who gets sent amazing PR packages and invites to cool events where she’s recently been meeting icons such as Britney Spears. That’s right, Britney Spears. I can practically hear the intro to Hit Me Baby One More Time through this picture.
But to get there, she’s been on a journey, to say the least. When she decided what degree she definitely wanted to do, she studied English Literature. Then, she moved back up north to work remotely from home as a writer. She actually gained plenty of experience for that by interning whilst she studied in London. Now that is a helpful tip if you’re a student. Anyway, after lots of planning, she moved back down to London into a house share and dived in completely into Teen Journalism. Whilst doing all of that she still created YouTube videos and there is a particularly touching one about being cheated on in relationships. And hear me now, if you’ve been betrayed and/or are in the process of mending your heart, you need to go and watch it.
Since then, however, she met Adam and they moved in together last year and she’s never given up working and writing and doing what it is that she loves so much. She’s one to look out for and we’re picturing even more success for her. What do you think?
