Pyhä Lucia

This is a tradition Finland and Sweden share, and one of the very clearly christian religious traditions of the Finnish christmas. 13th of December is Lucian päivä, when Saint Lucia is celebrated. This includes a Lucia parade in cities, and a smaller Lucia celebration in schools or kindergartens as well, where some dress up as Lucia and angels and sing the song Pyhä Lucia.

I am not religious myself, but I like Lucian päivä because I think that it's a neat tradition and fun to dress up. I think that this is a quite common attitude in Finns in general.
